We chose this location because of it's proximity to Bank of America Stadium, and because we were under the impression there was a pool on site for our kids based on the advertising. Unfortunately the latter is not true. Hotel guests have access to the YMCA across the street which has a lap pool and you have to call them to make reservations to use it and it's only open limited hours (closed every other hour)! Oh, and kids are not allowed! Had this been clear we would have likely selected a more family friendly location. Don't make the same mistake we did. The refrigerator in our room was working but damaged. The breakfast was buffet style and cost $20/person. Our kids wanted pancakes and they were all hard as a rock and couldn't even be cut with a knife. The staff were kind enough to get them fresh ones, but the French toast was the same situation and the bacon was cooked to a crisp and so dry you could barely eat it. I won't even go into the other issues on this forum, but word to the wise, at this price point, there are better options, and this is not a good option for families in my opinion.

I had an enjoyable experience staying here for Pride weekend as the hotel is located right in the center of everything. As a gold member, I was upgraded to the executive floor which offered free snacks and drinks. The lobby/common areas were beautiful and I appreciated how the parking deck is connected directly to the hotel. The room itself was nice and clean but the purple/green color scheme felt super outdated and tacky. Most of the furniture seemed pretty outdated as well. The bathroom was very nice though and I really liked the big, glass-enclosed shower. The downstairs bar/restaurant was pretty good but definitely overpriced. Overall, this is a solid option but could be improved by updating the rooms to feel more modern.

This is short of 5 stars because the men at the front desk when I arrived were not welcoming. Plus side - our room was impressively very clean. I love the fact that the rooms do NOT have carpet which often traps in dirt and odors. I would stay here again because of the cleanliness and convenience to entertainment venues and restaurants.

Great location. Close to lite rail, restaurants, and more. What service? You have to chase down house keeping for towels. I had to walk down to front desk to get coffee for room. Rooms and hotel not really being invested in. You can see the slow deterioration. Mold on the showerhead. Doors not being painted. Close to same level of service & rooms as a Motel 6. I am a Hilton Honor member - not sure why I still bother with the misplaced sense of loyalty.

My birthday was thursday. So we rented a room for the night . We had a place reserved. Due to technical diffuculty the venue was closed. But I saw the bar area and cafe or restaurant. I asked if they could accommodate 16 people for dinner. They were more than happy to make it work. We enjoyed all of the food we ordered. Almez the waitress was happy to oblige us. Thank you soo much. It was my 65th birthday.

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. They compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the best in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you definitely won't be let down. I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton. Before I arrived, I was upgraded to the Executive level- so I felt like a celebrity. The hotel is in a great location, they have great amenities, awesome staff, and also have a pretty tasty restaurant. I recommend staying here and I will definitely be back!

Holy moly is the bar expensive. $20 for Early Times? It's not even technically bourbon! The hotel is in need of renovation. Rooms are quiet enough but feels and smells old. Will probably go elsewhere next time we're in town

The location was perfect, however self parking would be my biggest issue. There are other businesses occupying the hotel parking garage. The level the hotel is on, parking is reserved for the business and hotel guest gave to park 2 levels down and ride the elevator to the lobby level. It’s a huge inconvenience to the hotel patrons. Also, the could hotel use some renovations.

Great hotel right in the middle of uptown Charlotte. Literally a 5 minute walk to Spectrum Center if you want to catch a Hornets game or a concert. Very friendly staff, Trey at the front desk was super helpful and friendly when I checked in. You really don't need your car once you park, there's so much around you can walk to. Also, I like that they allow the option to self-park and do not force you to use their valet parking. The only issue I had was the parking garage is a bit confusing if you are self-parking, so listen carefully when they explain at check-in! Once you get that figured out everything is great. Will definitely be back next time I am in Charlotte. Also, thanks for the upgraded room due to my Hilton Honors status! Great view of the city from my window, thanks Hilton Charlotte team!

Things to keep in mind. The location is great but the rooms are small and expensive. If you are a smoker or vaping that is not allowed in the room. There is a fine 250 dollars if found. They do clean rooms and housekeeping stuff on alternative days. The location is downtown and you get great food around the hotel. If you are planning to attend a conference then it's a great location.

Before finalizing any trip, I do a quick check on a few sites, including HoteIDuIIy.cá´Źm My last trip was surprisingly affordable after that bit of research. This is a beautiful hotel. The check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable, location is close to restaurants and shops. Close to other attractions within 8-30 minutes, depending on what you would like to do. The restaurant bar downstairs is comfortable and the food was good, the bartender was friendly and inviting, all in all we truly enjoyed our visit.

Rooms were really nice and clean. Had a decent view of the city facing west. Prices are up there, but lower comparatively to other hotels in the area. There was valet parking, and you could also park your car yourself in their parking lot.

The room was nice, a comfortable bed, good shower, those were positives. Breakfast is buffet only, rather expensive and it is serve yourself with common utensils and tongs shared by all. There was not an option for just ordering a light breakfast.

I stay here for every business trip to Charlotte when spending time downtown. The rooms are always nicely decorated and efficiently laid out, and the bar always has an interesting beer or two...and coming in late in the evening, the food choices at the bar keep in the house. Finally, kudos to the bar tenders...last few trips, each of them - on a Sunday night - has been friendly, attentive, and pleasant.

Overall a great hotel if you're looking to stay in the downtown area. The only real complaint is that the rooms are starting to show their age a little. It's not a big deal, but when you pay full price for a 4 star hotel room you expect modern updated furniture. Have stayed twice and will stay again. As an Honors member it's my go to when staying in downtown Charlotte.

I love Charlotte, but had never stayed uptown. We came into town for a conference at the Charlotte Convention Center. I paid premium for a city view. The room itself was fairly small given the price, but the view was indeed great. No one had turned the mini fridge on prior to arrival so it took about a half day to get cold. That really annoyed me. The hotel itself was in walking distance of so many awesome things. We walked everywhere while we stayed. The location of the hotel is no doubt amazing. Overall the time we had was amazing. Only thing that kept the hotel from five stars was lack of microwave in a premium room, the fridge delay, and small space for the price paid. That said though, I’d stay again for sure.

I loved our room. The view was absolutely beautiful. It was Christmas time, and they had the lobby decorated. It was so nice to come in and see everything lit up. The only complaint I have is the breakfast bar. I would recommend finding another place to dine.

Hotel is perfectly located and relatively clean. Staff wasn't bad but not as Hospital as they should be in a Hilton. Also no complementary water or coffee. Restaurants open late in the morning and for early risers no options to get coffee or a bite. Pricey for what you get.

First let me say this the room price jump was ridiculous… We paid 889.96 for two nights… Of course it was a game but still a straight rip off.. Our room was a two queens bed and smell like it was freshly mop with a mildew mop…. The bed was hard and the room was extremely cold. The icebreaker was the rip off that occurred while we were there.. my husband went to get a drink sat night around 10 something.. The bartender Daniel made the drink and charge my husband card 37 dollars for 9 dollar drink… My husband tip before knowing the scam had occurred 3 dollars bringing his total 12.37 or34 cents.. He walks away look at his account and went back to the bartender he act like the computer did it and told my husband he would have to wait until Monday when the manager in… I was sleep but the next morning I call the front desk and spoke to someone and they directed me to the food and beverage manager only after I said I will be calling the police because this is stealing… Yes it was only a 25 dollar overcharged but it’s about fairness… We paid 889.96 for two nights without trying to get over.. I expected to be treated fair especially how expensive our stay was… But back to the matter at hand.. I talk to the manager he proceeded to tell me he has to do an investigation without asking for my husband bank statement just receipt number and then said we will have your money back 3-5 days after our investigation done.. I then said we’ll let me call the police because sound like Daniel the bartender wasn’t going to get nothing done because he blame it on the computer,… Like really? I was then told no need to do that just give me an hour.. The manager calls back in an hour and offer breakfast coupons and said we still have to wait for our money… I said I wasn’t satisfied and the first thing he said well we can’t give you any money insinuating I wanted a discount because their wrong doing no I wanted my money back on my card because it was stealing to me…. My husband was frustrated so I took the offer because he was over it… I still feel we was wrongfully done and it made our stay uncomfortable… I feel Hilton should do better with customer far as making them feel better not like they was wrong for mentioning it….. I gave it a 2 because the overall staff was phenomenal…

The Charlotte Embassy Suites Uptown was the worst Embassy Suites facility I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in plenty of them in the Southeast to compare. The valet service took over an hour and was very disorganized and short staffed. Traffic was backed up into the road and through a red light which I know is a safety hazard. The front desk wouldn’t answer my call until after the 3rd time trying and they were incredibly rude and short when they did answer. Thinking they were just slammed I popped in to speak with them about getting my elevator card minutes after calling and there was no one in the lobby to cause the frustration. We stood in a line of 30 people waiting for drinks at the evening reception while the bartenders served walk ups before the line then announced they weren’t serving any of us after the 6:30 time limit. They hadn’t served any of us during the designated time either. The pool was pitiful. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were like throw pillows instead of full size bed pillows. The TVs were small and the bedroom wall charger didn’t work. No one would deliver food I assume because of the parking situation. I settled for a TV dinner so I wouldn’t have to walk my kids around Charlotte at 11pm. I kid you not they charged me $15/each for a $1 TV dinner. The city view we paid extra for was not spectacular. We were facing a cluttered office building. The location and shower were the only two pluses and that was not enough to justify all the negatives. We will not be back.

The Hilton downtown Charlotte, NC is an excellent place to stay. I stayed on the 21floor on the Executive floor. It's was great after long day with my fourteen year old at the 5 Sec. Of Summer concert. Staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious. Thanks for the late check out. Once again Hilton “you rock.” Derick Proctor

I'm not sure what was going on, but we had zero room service. We had to call for additional towels. I'm not sure if it's a Staffing issue or cost cutting. The restaurant was also short staffed and the wait was excessive. Don't take it that everything was bad... The check-in folks were nice and the handful of staff in the restaurant, inspite of shortages, were able to do their best and even managed smiles. With a good few staff members, all that's needed are a few more hands. ...just my humble suggestion.

I recently visited this hotel with my significant other and we had a great experience! We were celebrating his birthday, and thought this location was perfect. The room we had was on the Hilton member floor which came with extra perks. I won't go into detail with that, but if you are not a Hilton member I highly recommend becoming one. We did experience an issue with getting into our room, but the staff were attentive with assisting us it was a mere hiccup. The location was perfect as we were able to either scooter or walk to every location. The pride parade was happening at the time as our stay which allowed us to have more to do. The parking was also easy and affordable. The area around the hotel is very beautiful, for even just going on a walk. There is plenty to do around this hotel. Overall, out of all of the hotels we have stayed at in our visits to Charlotte this is the top one. The interior and decor when you walk into the hotel down to your room is beautiful. I highly recommend coming here.
