Summary: Excellent service, charming rooms that have character, beautiful open center balcony layout. It felt grand and I truly enjoyed myself. I spent the better part of last year in one hotel or another and this was the best hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment I walked in to the moment I was walking out the door I felt valued and important to every staff member I interacted with. Breakfast was amazing. Room for improvement: coffee could have been a little better. Other than that a+ and I will recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the area.

We used to really enjoy staying at Embassy Suites but this was the latest in a string of disappointments. First of all this property is really showing its age. The refrigerator had mildew stains. Paint needed to be touched up in several places in the room. The door was marred - probably where a mirror had been removed. The water did not get hot in the shower. The breakfast service is one of the benefits of staying there but it was lacking. I asked for fried eggs at the breakfast station, and the cook scrambled them and said - " here are your fried eggs". There were two cooks. The man behind me asked for the same thing and got fried eggs, so I guess it was just the one who helped me who was unfamiliar with fried eggs. There were items like grits and biscuits at the cook to order station that were not available at the hot buffet but you would not know it if you didn't see it. Usually they have hot oatmeal too, but this one did not. The biggest problem however was customer service at the front desk. Our room only had towels for three and there were four of us so I called down to ask for a set for myself. Surprisingly they said they'd bring it up. By the time they brought it up I had found a housekeeper to give me a set, showered, done my hair, gotten dressed and left for the day. Before we left my husband called down and asked if our room could be serviced and was told yes. When we came back several hours later nothing had been done. He called down and was told that they could only take the trash and refresh the towels but she couldn't guarantee that. When he asked to speak to a manager who could guarantee that, the lady hung up on him. He went down to the front desk and asked her why she hung up on him and she said, "I was busy." Then her coworker asked "what's his problem?" and she responds by saying our room number really slowly as if we had been bothering them all day. We hadn't. The manager confirmed that and apologized for the behavior of the other employees and offered us points. That's nice, but in our past experiences the points never show up and they want to argue with you if you call and ask about it. It's just not worth it. Not giving up on all Hilton properties, but we are done with Embassy Suites.

Need updating, an exterminator and maintenance.... I was there for a meeting, one night only so I didn't have time to file any type of complaint. I also had a digital key to prevent having to wait and contact. The hotel itself seem to be pleasant, in the lobby and other areas. The bathroom in my room, had loose hair stuck to the ceiling, the water collects in the tub when taking a shower and it drains out slowly. There was a baby spider camping out in one of the beds. The parking was not convenient or plentiful. Looks like they're currently working on some type of parking deck though. Compared to other Embassy Suites by Hilton locations, I wasn't impressed this time. The room cost for one night, was 298.02. It wasn't unbearable, I just expected a better stay. I am a Hilton Honors member.

I would give the staff 5 stars for their hard work and politeness. However, there isn’t enough staff. The room they first assigned us hadn’t been cleaned. He was very nice about it and switched rooms. HOWEVER, this is an older hotel, a bit banged up, and there are not enough housekeeping staff to keep up with cleaning the hotel, so the public area floors are dirty and sticky. Our second morning, there was no hot water for the entire hotel!!! And, the buffet cook didn’t show up, so half of the breakfast was missing and there was a huge backup. Overall, I feel this hotel is NOT up to Hilton standards and I would never recommend this location!

We were initially in awe of the beauty at this hotel! The lobby and bar decor was gorgeous. There were a few things that changed our minds. 1) Upon entering our room, we found a single roach crawling across the bottom of the bed. About five minutes later, we see another that has been smashed in the bedroom door frame. This really had us on edge, but after THOROUGHLY searching the entire suite, there were no signs of any other unwanted visitors. 2) The television in the bedroom did not power on at all. 3) The toilet overflowed the morning of the second day of our stay. After receiving no answer from housekeeping, I called down to the front desk. Maintenance did not come to my room until an hour after the call was made. When they came up, they unclogged the toilet but left the cleanup for me. I used the remainder of the provided towels to clean up the mess. The toilet stopped flushing two more times after this. (We only stayed 2 nights…) After a third time of no full resolution, we were forced to use the public restroom on the first floor for the remainder of our stay. 4) I called the front desk to request some towels and a room cleaning. I waited 2 hours for someone to show up. I then see a cleaning lady a few doors over, so my husband approaches her for towels and she instructs us to call the front desk. I call the front desk yet again and speak to the very same attendant who told me that I wasn’t “on the list”. 🤔 I advised that I called two hours ago, and they assured me that they were “on the case.” Towels were delivered within 20 minutes by a friendly older lady. 5) We left our suite for about 3 hours. Upon our return, we see that the snack tray had been refilled, however the room had NOT been cleaned as requested. The dirty towels used to clean up a toilet overflow were still behind the toilet, and the tiny trash can was still very much full. 🤦🏽‍♀️ On the bright side, there were two wonderful older ladies preparing on-demand breakfast, and they were absolutely delightful! They were so sweet and caring and just a joy to interact with. Despite the issues that occurred during our stay, these ladies saved this review from being one star. I wish I had gotten their names, but if it helps, one of them said they only work weekends. They deserve a raise and some time off!! ☺️

Good overall experience, not great. We would recommend trying someplace else for the price range. Hotel offered nice things such as flavored water in the atrium and a welcome bag. We've been to a couple of Embassy Suites and this one did have great complementary manager's reception. Special note to the excellent service at the bar. Highest remarks. The front desk service was poor. For example, my kids wanted to swim in the temporarily closed pool, but the front desk felt that "I don't know" is a good response. My daughter was distraught by the response. Also, we selected this hotel because of the pool, which was closed, and free parking, which cost us $10. There was no water in the gym as well. We found bugs and mold in our room.

This was our 1st trip to Charlotte, it was a stop over on a longer trip. Being a long time Hilton Honors member I chose this hotel due to its location very close to interstate. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, & efficient in reassigning a room to us when the one I had chosen was no longer available. The happy hour offerings were great, the common area and bar area were clean and comfortable. We ordered a meal at the bar & it was great as well, and again the staff were friendly & efficient. Our room was clean and comfortable. The complementary breakfast the next day was the best we have had at any Hilton. We enjoyed our 1 night stay so much that we booked another night for our return trip home.

The bartender last night was amazing. She took on a whole group of stranded travelers at closing time, and made sure we all got a chance to order food and drinks. I would have given 5 stars if our room hadn't been double booked and a couple hadn't walked in our room at 12:30am.

We stayed at this location for our 30th wedding anniversary, and we were pleased from the moment we walked in. The hotel is updated and modern with beautiful sitting areas and lots of space. The front desk clerks we had during check-in and checkout were very nice and helpful. We had such a lovely suite with a comfy bed and fantastic shower. We love that this location has done away with the individual toiletries and have dispensers on the walls instead with soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The hotel was quiet this particular weekend which was perfect since it was a special occasion. The breakfast was great and their staff was super friendly. We also loved the evening reception. The bartenders were so nice and made some delicious cocktails. There was a great assortment of snacks to graze on as well. The manager was awesome. Such a warm and welcoming person. We loved that he spoke highly of the staff and considers them his work family. When the management is right, everything else falls right into place. The hotel was relaxing yet had a fun vibe. We will definitely be back to this location again. Thank you for taking good care of us!

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and everything was GREAT! From check in to check out. Our room was nice and clean! Very spacious The front desk ladies were very helpful and sweet! Breakfast was delicious. The location is less than 15 to uptown. We will enjoyed ourselves. Definitely will bring the kiddos back for the indoor pool.

We always stay at the Embassy Suites when we travel. This location does need a little attention to their rooms, but the overall stay was a great experience. The manager, James, was very present and personable. We really enjoyed talking to him. His service standards are evident. The bartenders as well as other workers were very friendly as well. We will stay again next time we travel to Charlotte!

The hotel was extremely clean and it had a spacious lobby and dining area. The rooms were sizable with plenty of amenities. The buffet breakfast with omelette station was superb. Parking was ample. Location was close to the inner city. Great place to stay!

The lobby was large and clean. The room was large and clean. The made to order breakfast and hot breakfast buffet was nice. The staff for the breakfast was great. The heat was not working in my room but when I reported it was taken care of promptly. The virtual key didn't download which was a blessing. Because I would not gotten the parking pass to put in my car or the card for the free drinks. How ever the person who checked me in felled to tell me that they had put that stuff in my packet. Luckily I found it. The guest reception was not that great. The free drinks were nice but you had to wait in line about 15 minutes to get them. They did a poor job maintaining the free food. I don't recommend the restaurant. It is not open for lunch. To order you have to go up to the bar. It took a long time for the food and I got the grilled chicken salad the chicken was cold it didn't have any cheese but otherwise it was good. The bathrooms in the lobby were not very clean. The indoor pool was closed but that was OK because they didn't have it listed that they had a pool. And I didn't bring a swimsuit. Luckily the parking garage was closed and there was plenty of free parking. So it was nice not to have to pay for parking.

Fantastic service experienced by both ladies at the front and the lady who drove the shuttle. They dealt with an influx of passengers from canceled AA flights yesterday and were so fast and accommodating it put me in a great mood after a canceled flight! Thank you for the toiletries, calling us a cab, everything you did to assist us in a difficult situation. And the beds were extremely comfortable!

I believe in starting reviews with positives so I will say the lobby was beautiful. It was large and had plenty of space to relax. The hotel receptionists were very nice and friendly. Also, the complimentary breakfast was great. I came to Charolette for a conference and this was the host hotel which is the reason why I booked with this hotel, however I was extremely disappointed. After checking in and settling down in our room, we discovered the curtains were broken and you could see straight into the suite from the outside. We requested to have someone fix it but was told no one was available and we would have to be switched to a different room. After getting into the new room we wished we had just grabbed safety pins and fixed the curtains ourselves. The new bathroom was not that clean. There were permanent stains on the toilet seat. There was dirt on the side of the tub and left over body hair on the soap holders. The toilet only flushed if you held the handle down for 10+ seconds. Any time the person next to us took a shower or flushed the toilet the pipes made a loud rumbling sound. (We were awaken several times throughout the night from our neighbors bathroom breaks) The fridge was dirty and also leaked throughout the weekend. (It was no fun continuously wiping water off the floor) Last but not least we had to wait on housekeeping for 8.5 hours even after calling the front desk twice and speaking to a housekeeping staff member myself. It wasn’t until I asked to speak to a manager around 9:30pm that we finally got the room cleaned and fresh towels. The manager was apologetic and I appreciated it however it was unacceptable.

Great big lobby. Awesome bar that had a happy hour with complimentary drinks while I was there. Good food and the free breakfast also had an omelette bar while I was there. The staff (especially Jordan at the front desk) were amazing!! Suite was MASSIVE and clean and nice. Felt like a trip rather than just a business trip.

This was my company's Christmas party pick, one lady at front desk is not very friendly at all, she don't need to be working in this type of environment. Room is nice, hotel is nice but my room stayed at 73 degrees all night, had to open a window to get it to cool off some. Called front desk they said " we'll send maintenance up to look at it" that never happened so I had to sleep wth the window open all night and parking lot light shining in my room all night. I wouldn't stay here again if it was free.

Here’s a gem of advice: before any hotel booking, look at HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm It’s a game changer. Got stuck in Charlotte when my connection flight ✈️ left without me (the previous flight was delayed). American Airlines got me a hotel room. The hotel staff were friendly and understanding. I ordered a delicious burger and beverage at the bar. Went up to this huge suite! It had a living room, dining table, and bedroom separated by the kitchen. There were 3 sicks!!! The bathroom was great, and the hair products worked great on my long, fine hair (no frizzy issues). The room was clean. The shower was excellent and joyfully received. The shuttle bus picked me up at the airport and dropped me off at the front door, and then delivered me back to the airport the next day. I was allowed to checkout at 1pm, which was great because my flight was scheduled for 6pm. The delay was inconvenient, but the room was an oasis.

Great hotel and wonderful staff. Everyone is super friendly and caring. Each team member went above and beyond to make sure my family and I had a great stay. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling. The GM needs to be praised for their awesome leadership. Thanks for a great time. I will be back in 2023!!!

This place was a pleasant surprise. From arrival I was pleased using my digital key to get into my room without having to go directly to the front desk with my luggage. The room was clean, nicely appointed, and provided plenty of space. The nightly manager’s reception was a fabulous perk - two FREE drinks per room. The made-to-order breakfast was awesome. It was truly, made-to-order - and it was VERY good! Ms Sandra (one of the cooks there) was very pleasant and made sure that you got what you wanted. Location is great - a quick easy ride to anywhere you may need to go in Charlotte. All in all, this place was a good cost effective pick for accommodations in the area!

Beautiful hotel with probably the best staff I have encountered in a while. The breakfast was also amazing. I did not do 5 stars because of a couple reasons. The restaurant is not open for lunch and it was difficult to find out the hours of operation without directly asking the front desk staff. I think this is likely due to being under staffed which is understandable for this time. There were some upkeep and maintenance items that could be addressed. While the lobby area is beautiful and clean, when you get to the elevator and rooms you can tell it is an older building that has been updated. I would definitely recommend for an event space or business stay.

This is an older hotel so it has some problems that come with time. Our toilet did not flush well but the shower had good pressure. There was also some loud noise that sounded like a car horn out side and I could hear it in my room but it lased too long to be a car. I asked a manager to look into it and he said he would. It did not go away but it was not as loud later at night and did not bother me while sleeping. Also the access key on the app did not work. Any deficiency were made up by what was included and the friendly staff. We where given bottle water and 4 drink tickets for the lobby bar when we checked in. Also in our room was a tray of drinks and snacks that was included. Parking is also included. The breakfast was included and they had the typical food in warming trays but the the think that really sets this place apart is they had two people working a grill and would make to order food like omelets and eggs many other ways. That was unexpected and appreciated. They have an outdoor patio beyond the pool. the pool was fine but the room was really warm and humid. the gym was small but had enough stuff for a work out.

I stayed here for a weekend conference for work. Everything for the conference was great & so was the complimentary breakfast each morning. But the room cleanliness & service was horrible. During our entire 3 night stay we never had our room cleaned & never received fresh towels despite multiple over the phone and in person requests from front desk. I would not book this hotel again because I never felt completely comfortable or relaxed in my room.

We checked in on July 7th the guest service agent at the front Desk was Awesome. She had a smile & and was just happy to be a Hilton employee. All the employees we Interacted with were just First Class. The Lobby & Room was clean. The Breakfast was Awesome the staff at the Grill moved the line along and the food was great. I noticed that it was a little after 9:20, and the staff were starting Line breakdown a few guest came late but with a smile they let them in the cold bar area to grab some fresh fruit. JUST AWESOME STAFF & VERY PROFESSIONAL. Continue to work together to make the Guest happy!

Jackie was an absolute saint when our flight was delayed, and American Airlines sent us here. I was terrified sitting and waiting, and she eventually, miraculously found a room for myself and my wife. She went through hell and back to find it for us, keeping us comfortable and talking to us all the while. The room was lovely, clean and well maintained. The hotel itself was gorgeous, the interior was modern, and the beds. My lord, the beds after what we had gone through was heavenly. Everything was perfect after a long, stressful nightmare of a day. The free breakfast in the morning was the best one I've ever had, by far. I wish I'd had the opportunity to hug her before I left- so give Jackie some love from those two girls from Michigan.
