Although
everyone
was
friendly,
the
check
in
process
was
rushed.
The
double
bed
in
our
room
was
terrible.
Not
only
did
the
old
bedframe
squeak
and
groan
all
night
(to
the
point
we
woke
up
constantly
anytime
one
of
us
moved)
but
the
mattress
was
incredibly
uncomfortable.
We
both
had
a
terrible
sleep.
All
of
the
lamps
in
the
room
were
unplugged
so
we
had
to
move
side
tables
around
to
plug
things
in.
One
of
the
side
tables
was
dirty
and
there
were
cobwebs
in
the
corners.
Breakfast
the
next
morning
wasn't
close
to
as
good
as
previous
reviews
suggested
it
would
be.
There
was
no
clear
indication
about
what
was
being
offered
for
breakfast
until
my
husband
asked
as
the
girl
who
greeted
us
was
about
to
walk
away.
She
simply
said
breakfast
was
an
"English
muffin."
My
husband
explained
he
would
like
his
meal
without
bacon
or
ham
(if
that
was
included)
and
was
told
they
had
sausage.
The
sausage
turned
out
to
be
what
appeared
to
be
a
hot
dog
or
smokie,
cut
length
wise
and
(we
assume)
heated
on
the
stove
and
a
lightly
buttered
English
muffin.
A
couple
of
strawberries
and
some
grapes
on
the
plate
as
garnish.
The
English
muffins
were
fine
but
the
hot
dog/sausages
were
terrible.
Neither
of
us
ate
more
than
a
bite
or
2.
The
dining
experience
was
uncomfortable
as
we
were
the
only
ones
in
the
dining
area
at
the
time
and
all
we
could
hear
was
a
loud
conversation
between
staff
coming
from
the
kitchen.
No
one
checked
to
see
if
we
enjoyed
our
meal
and
we
eventually
went
to
our
room
to
pack
up.
I
paid
the
bill
and
wasn't
asked
once
about
our
experience.
The
location
was
good
-
close
to
downtown
amenities
and
tourist
spots
and
I
liked
the
historic
charm
of
the
building.
Staff
was
friendly.
The
woman
who
showed
us
to
our
rooms
told
us
the
home
and
business
was
recently
under
new
ownership
so
perhaps
this
was
the
reason
for
the
difference
between
previous,
positive
reviews
and
our
negative
experience.
We
won't
be
returning.
