Beautiful
restaurant
although
very
disappointing
service
and
potential
food
poisoning!
We
made
a
booking
for
Saturday
evening
for
our
anniversary,
however
when
we
arrived,
they
have
no
record
of
the
booking
so
without
an
apology,
they
found
us
a
table
tucked
away
at
the
very
back
of
the
restaurant.
These
tables
are
with
sofa
chairs
which
we
didn't
feel
were
appropriate
for
an
evening
meal
at
a
nice
restaurant,
so
we
asked
whether
it
would
be
possible
to
move
to
one
of
the
tables
in
the
centre
of
the
restaurant,
however
they
were
fully
booked
(Although
we
had
made
a
booking
over
a
week
in
advance).
The
server
eventually
moved
some
tables
around
and
managed
to
find
us
a
table
in
the
main
restaurant
area,
which
we
appreciated,
but
after
being
seated
and
being
in
the
restaurant
for
about
45
minutes
now,
we
had
still
not
be
offered
a
drink
so
we
had
to
chase
a
server
for
this
too.
The
service
for
the
rest
of
the
evening
was
average,
not
very
attentive
and
emotionless.
The
food
was
good,
particularly
the
creme
brulee,
although
we
have
had
better
food
in
Chartres
for
notably
cheaper.
Lastly,
my
girlfriend
started
to
experience
food
poisoning
symptoms
(e.g.,
vomiting
and
diarrhoea)
during
the
following
day.
Although
this
may
not
have
been
from
the
food
at
La
Cour
Brasserie,
as
our
diets
had
been
very
'normal'
during
the
previous
few
days,
so
we
suspect
this
is
from
this
restaurant.
We
were
both
really
hoping
to
enjoy
our
evening
at
La
Cour
Brasserie,
particularly
as
it
was
our
anniversary,
however
we
were
left
very
disappointed
with
the
service
and
food.
