Originally named Gala Water, this lake continues to be an iconic feature of Delaware Park. Today, the 1.1 mile loop around the lake provides a scenic walk, as well as access to meadow areas and spectacular views of the water. Rowboats and FLOATmingo paddle boats are available for rent through the Buffalo Maritime Center.

First, let me start of by saying that the view of this lake is amazing. You can jog or take a walk around it with a friend or even your family. You can also sit down on one of the benches and relax while looking at the water.

Life is a beautiful thing but even better here in the center of the city yet feeling like you're in the most peaceful and beautiful place on earth. The pathways, lake, the little "tunnel", rose garden, play area, soccer fields, etc. all really makes this place so amazing and the place to be for everyone! Want to relax? Pick one of the many benches around the park/lake area and enjoy the views and relax, you'll find tranquility I promise. See you there!

My go-to place to walk and get outdoors when I'm feeling restless and don't yet have a set destination. Connects to a trail that leads to Delaware Park, making for a nice combination of both city and nature. Both are great for anything with wheels, including strollers. Has some incline and decline but mostly flat

We really enjoyed the flamingo boats - affordable rate to be on the lake anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour on a hot day. Beautiful scenery and you're only about 10 minutes away walking from the Japanese garden nearby!

It was a beautiful day to enjoy the lake and all it's beauty. Even at the end of November, we were still able to see some fall foliage. Highly recommend checking it out!

Very scenic lake located within Delaware Park. Tons of places to sit and relax or if you're looking for something to do there are plenty of trails as well as paddle boats available! Walking distance to Albright Knox Art Museum aswell.

Delaware Park. I have only good memories of this place. If you are at Buff State College it is just a short walk across Elmwood Avenue, and you can enjoy the place, appreciate the view, practise some sports like running, jogging, or just seat on the grass and read a good book. You should go there

Parking is impossible and the amount of trash in the park makes me thankful I don't live in the city anymore. It could be a great park if it was just cared for.

Great to fish and go boating in just be respectful for the ones fishing due to the paddle boats do scare away the fish or you could run into their fishing line and snag their stuff. That's the only negative is the people in the paddle boats are very disrespectful to those trying to fish and purposely go towards you to make you lose your hook or fish or line. Other than that it's a great place to go for the day to fish if you can't get out to the big places for fishing. The prices to rent the boats are ridiculous especially when they aren't even gas powered, it costs 30 an hour and 15 for a half hour of boating

What a beautiful part of Buffalo. We picked up sandwiches at Zio's on Elmwood and had a picnic lunch then eight of us rented two Pink Flamingo pedal boats. We had a great time.
