We stopped here on purpose on our way back from PA to upstate NY. This is absolutely beautiful place to spend a few hours walking through gorgeous displays of flowers. Every flower and plant and then some you never know are on exhibit. They are well put together and Maintained. The aroma of all the flowers is awesome. Cuteittle gift shop. Highly recommend 👌

This was a great place to walk around and see different kinds of plants. It was pretty big so you can spend a few hours here. Admission is $15.50 and parking is free. There are people complaining about the admission being too expensive. That is really cheap. I live in Illinois and the Chicago Botanic Garden is a little over double the price for one adult and parking is not free. Staff was pleasant. It was very clean. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area. Highly recommended.

Wow! What a beautiful building, amazing architecture and history, what a treasure to have here. Visited during the orchid exhibit. Friendly staff. Wonderful afternoon.

Beyond beautiful!!! Everyone here always has a smile on their face and is more than welcoming. We went for pride night a few months back and it was stunning. The plants are huge and definitely loved. The lights were an added bonus! Definitely a good place to go for a date night

Really cute little place! Amazing variety of plants for being a relatively small place. I learned so much and saw several plants I had never seen in my life before. Plants are all in great health and very enjoyable to observe and read all the little descriptions. Can get a little humid during the summer, but there is one outdoor area where there's a very nice breeze, plenty of seating and even a play area for kids! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would take my family when I visit Buffalo again. Tiny gift shop but cute and has most things you could want.

Such an unexpectedly cool stop! So nice for a low afternoon walk, and I was surprised by how large it is. Parking was easy (I believe there was an accessible entrance but I'm not 100% certain) and employees were friendly.

Quiet and peaceful, the gardens are separated into sections by families and types of environments they thrive in, the gift shop is rather small, the only disappointment was they don't have many gifts in the shop that say Botanical Gardens. The roofs are either leaking or just a lot of moisture, so I won't pass judgment on that. It did not deter from the enjoyment. I'm not a plant specialist, but some did not look healthy, or it was just me. Their is a very tiny art gallery in the middle with a few paintings. The staff were really nice and helpful and seemed they really like working there, I don't see return visits but definitely a 1 time experience to have.

A variety of quirky cactus, gigantic cactus, koi fish, plenty of greenery and the smell of nature all in this beautiful structure. I went on memorial day and it wasn't busy at all. On the grounds of the botanical gardens there are many trees to catch some shade and have a picnic. I definitely recommend

First time back in over a decade. Still a beautiful walk with incredible air to breath, especially in the winter. The current tulip show was wonderfully colorful. Was a little sad to see that it looks like the winter storm this past year knocked out a bunch of their delicate collection as both the orchid and bonsai sections were fairly bare and had a lot of filler. Will love coming every time I come back into town anyway.

It was wheelchair friendly, the night time tour was delightful. All the staff was helpful really pleasant. Not sure why but the high ceilings where almost disney like lite up at night. Overall I do wish I hadn't taken so long to finally get there , we enjoyed it very much so.

Nice experience as always at this place. They have a small student discount which is nice. Tons of different varieties of plants and all well maintained. Also a couple places to take nice photos. Would come back again, and I especially like the cactus section because it reminds me of the south west.

Upon entrance, what took my breath away was not in fact related to vegetables. The initial breath taking view is that of the kind, helpful, endearing staff. Their obvious love for their jobs made the visit. Lesser botanicals would not have such top quality staff. After the amazing reception you are immediately greeted with the heart of the gardens. The beauty of the vegetation is mesmerizing and holds your gaze the entire visit as you transition from house to house. If you have ever, EVER, once in your life looked at a flower, plant, or tree and said "Wow, that's pretty" you would benefit from the experience provided at this facility.

The plants seemed well taken care of and the staff were very friendly, but the plants were poorly labeled. Many did not have any labels and there wasn’t as much information as I would have liked. They had a section of medicinal plants but almost no info about them. Some of the rooms were very well decorated and planned out, but some just seemed like an afterthought.

We had such a splendid time soaking up everything the Botanical garden had to offer! We spent about 2 hours walking through all the plant rooms, thoroughly enjoying the inside and outside gardens. I though the price was fair given it’s a non profit and felt good knowing my $ was going to the care of the plants and the facility. We have nothing close to this in Rochester, so we were thrilled to visit and plan to make additional trips as the seasons change to see all that the Botanical Garden has to offer! I also was super geeked out that they offer nursery plants for purchase. I was able to purchase my number one wishlist plant, a pink princess philodendron, and take it home with me for such a reasonable price! It was the perfect end to a great time here.

This place is a wonderful break from the snowy tundra that is Buffalo in winter. The greenery and warm well lit indoor environment is a welcome reminder that spring will come. Winter is temporary. The place was clean, well maintained bathrooms and easily can consume 90 minutes of your time. There is a good kids area, and given the fact you're within an enclosure, they can't run off.

Another treasure of Buffalo History. It's a great place to be with nature all year long, and to get a bit of fresh air. Plants flourish in this indoor garden from all different climates. It's basically a zoo for plants. It's lovely and fascinating.

The gorgeous glasshouses are the highlight of the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens. The plants inside are mostly various potted house plants. Nice, but overall not anything amazing. Probaby more impressive if you're a kid, as the dinosaur & other tie-ins seem fun. Aside from the pretty beds at the entrance sidewalk and a sort of patio area out one of the greenhouse doors, we saw no outdoor gardens to speak of. As I understand it, the survival of this place is thanks to community members who organized to keep it afloat. Kudos to them! A fundraising event was to take place the evening of of the day we visited. I hope they did well. With a bigger budget, this place could add outdoor gardens & some more mature indoor displays and become spectacular. We live near and are members & frequent visitors to Longwood Gardens, so our standards are pretty high.

We had a lovely time inside. Great succulents collection. Bought some incredibly healthy and pest-free plants from the gift shop, overall a lovely day. We only wished there had been a cafe for lunch with light sandwiches, soups, etc. Will definitely be back when warmer weather is here to stroll the grounds.

The botanical gardens are a wonderful place to go with the family and if you're looking for a place to sit down with a book while surrounded by beautiful plants and great ambiance that allows maximum relaxation. The plants are marked with their names so that it is easy to research them. If you love plants I recommend coming here.

A beautiful way to get out of the cold and view amazing plants, flowers and trees.there is a little bit of something to see for everyone.my favorite was watching the Koi fish in the garden ponds.the different plants and colors are so beautiful.very relaxing place to visit.

This was my second time visiting. Both times, my guests were thrilled by the beauty of the place! The outside of the building is very impressive, but the outside has spacious grounds to stroll through with nice resting places. The inside is a real plant lover's treat with different sections of the building dedicated to different climates. I especially enjoyed seeing the HUGE palms and barrel cacti. Everyone ( particularly children) will enjoy the water features which have some very impressive and colorful Koi in them. It is quite a large place and requires walking, but the walking areas are smooth and level. Still, I was glad to take advantage of the comfortable seating areas. My favorite was in the Big Dome under all the giant palms. Bathrooms are plentiful and clean. The gift shop was tempting, but I was able to restrain myself! While you're there, DON'T MISS the Basilica of Our Lady of Victory which is that huge white marble church on the corner. Trust me. For lunch, I like to go to the Alsultan Restaurant and Bakery at 178 Ridge Rd. It is just down the road.

The gardens are always so nice to walk through. I went this past weekend for their orchid exhibit. It's nice when they incorporate different art pieces in with the various plants. There is seating throughout to sit and enjoy. It's easy to reserve a timeslot on their website. The Gardens After Dark and other special exhibits do require a reservation. They have a parking lot and street parking available.

Went for a wedding and after got to look around for free. This place is so neat especially if you love plant and horticulture, but even if you don't the amount of plants they have is truly spectacular

I had never been so when I got there on a super cold day in February I wasn't expecting anything more than a few plants here and there. I was taken back when I walked in! It was like entering a whole new world!! The air is so pure, and if you love nature like I do, the smell of fresh earth was exactly what my soul needed. They say it takes about an hour and a half to walk through but I spent at least 3 in there. I could've stayed longer, but they were closing🤣. They have so much to look at! I can't wait to go in the spring! If you are thinking of going do it! It is inexpensive and i guarantee you will leave feeling nothing but joy. I will be making a visit each time I am in Buffalo.

A beautiful botanical garden with plants from all over the world. They had a game of hide and seek to try and find certain plants. It took a little while but I was able to find them all.

We had a good experience at the Botanical Garden. Quick entry, friendly staff, handicap scooter accessible. The only downside to our visit was it was humid and hot, which is to be expected, you are in a giant greenhouse. Stay hydrated.

Big, huge variety, interactive areas, educational. Needs to have a bigger store, or just a nursery with just plants for sale 🤔, or not. I have no idea how to run a garden. Just wanted to buy one of everything on my way out. 🤷‍♂️

Went to love week for an evening at the gardens. Beautiful experience. The only issue was it seemed very crowded which made it harder to enjoy the gardens. It also was very dimly lit in many places and was hard to see the plants therefore many people were using the flashlights on phones and that became rather distracting. Based on this experience, although it was a fun new take I think daytime viewing is the way to go.

Listened to recommendation of e- ticket.Daughter bought them and no problem on entry. Grand kids 4-6 yrs old enjoyed . Kept entertained by a scavenger hunt . We did find the bamboo ladders!!!Respected no coins in fish ponds policy .Had little statue ponds that the kids coined and wished on without hurting the koi (big goldfish) or their habitat. Volunteers are on hand to answer any questions you may have. Bath rooms were centrally located very clean and stocked. Which was nice when dealing with the grandkids.I walk my dog Flip ,frequently around the park of the Botanical Gardens which is fantastic with the restriction of motor vehicles for about 3/4 of the path.

Such a beautiful and relaxing garden! The staff were very friendly and informative. We were pleasantly surprised with how many garden rooms/ varieties of plants there were. We had a great time and cant wait to go back again :)

This place is absolutely gorgeous and educational. A plant lover’s dream. Even if you aren’t a big botanical nerd - go here in the winter, especially February or March. Being around live plants and in the warmth is just magical after months and months of WNY cold and darkness. The huge color koi fish are really fun to watch too. I wish it was a little bit more affordable though. It’s hard to go more than like once a year at most due to the pretty hefty price tag for only an hour or two of entertainment.

Beautiful gardens and amazing colorful flowers. The long entrance flower bed is just so lovely and pleasing. You will feel so happy and calm once you walk amongst them. The glass Dom is pretty. There is a basilica church right around the corner that you must visit as an attraction next to botanical gardens.

I recently had my baby shower at the Botanical Gardens and genuinely wished I had my wedding here as well. It was budget friendly and absolutely gorgeous- what more could you ask for! Morgan was at my beck and call with every stupid question I had, which I appreciated more than she'll likely know. Absolutely great staff and amazing place to have an event. It took me 15 minutes to decorate because it's already a gorgeous greenhouse, you need minimal decorations. My only complaint is that you have to use one of their exclusive caterers, which is harder than it sounds. Most of them were booked months in advance, or were not booking at all due to COVID. I was lucky enough that one of their caterers was available for my event so I really didn't have a choice but to use them, luckily they were fantastic. I hope in the future they allow drop off catering to allow booking to be a bit easier and more budget friendly.
