I have been going here since its beginning. A safe and comfortable place with a wide variety of delicious food selections both western and Thai. Fantastic drink prices all the time and even better during happy hour. You won't find a better margarita for the Baht and there are beer and drink specials everyday. Friendly and attentive staff. The customers are friendly too. Nice place to hang out and chat with people from everywhere. I like the rustic atmosphere. Excellent burgers. Many choices of tasty sausages. I like the pork tenderloin. Salad is always fresh. You can buy meat and cheese to take home. The Thai food choices are huge and as good as anywhere as are the prices. The cooks here do a great job. I have always appreciated this place over the years and it has never disappointed me. Come check it out for yourself.

Once you know what meals you like at Gekko Garden, they are surely some of the best cooked and cheapest meals in town. For me, the Gekko Burger special on a Tuesday is the best burger in town. Prices for food and drink are very low. It's normally pretty busy at meal times with a wide range of clientele. I like the idea of 'specials' every day of the week. The chairs and tables are substantial and hard - and the house cat may scratch you if you stroke it suddenly. It's semi-open air which is fine, and has many fans in operation. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Gekko Garden offers meals to go and a very good range of take-away meats, cheeses, etc. Highly recommended if you haven't already been there, which would be a surprise as it's been a stalwart in Chiang Mai for many years. October 2023 and I've just returned to Gekko Garden after a long layoff (unfortunately I had an awful meal there about 10 months ago) and it's good to report that their 'Burger Madness' meal is back to its best. A very delicious burger tonight, and some new staff were particularly friendly and efficient. They were duly well tipped.

Bad food, homemade bread？（2 days ago maybe）. forced sale of fries without asking, They say that's their standard, even you say no need right away, they've already made, and you'll have to pay.The french fries are not good, we didn't eat any. Terrible service，Poor hygiene, very messy， should call it Mosquito garden.

This place is amazing! The Sunday buffet starts at 6pm and feels like I am back home for Christmas or thanksgiving. So cheap for western food yet so good. Even my Thai wife loves this place. She will always order a Banana split for desert. Each day they have a theme special. Wednesday big salad is so cheap and huge. Chiang Mai is my new home and go here at least once a week now.

I really like this place great food and reasonable prices! This place servers 1 of the best pizzas I've eaten in Chiang Mai they are thin crust cooked to perfection, I make it a weekly stop for either 10" for 129 baht (special) or 12 " for 200 baht , worth it!

Wonderful western and Thai food. The prices are awesome as well. Super chill atmosphere and everything comes out quickly. They have all the usual Thai food suspects and most western such as burgers and pizza. Come for the price, atmosphere and location. Great tastes! We got the spaghetti and a breakfast dish. The meatballs, Canadian bacon and garlic bread were highlights.

Went for the Sunday buffet. Lots of meat dishes. Loved the lamb and ribs. Nice, quiet dining atmosphere.

The corned beef hash here was really great. The staff is friendly and gets your food quick. It's not fancy but taste's good and the price is right.

Cheap and hearty food. Pizza is recommended. The drawback is that there are many mosquitoes.

Nice place for food would have given them a 5 apart from the beef burger my brother ordered wasn't cooked enough that well I ordered the chicken steak with cheese and ham came with chips and side salad with veg was good 👍 I asked for a burger bun cost me 15 baht extra was definitely worth the price meal was 259 baht

What a beautiful surprise! The restaurant is not closed (no AC), but quite big. The food was amazing and very cheap! We went there 3 times in one week. Would highly recommend.

This place is just wonderful. Food is well done, the drinks are just perfect, and the staff are awesome! Been there a few times and would definitely come back when I visit CM again.

I had a great classic American burger and fries lunch experience here with sumptuous home made apple pie to boot. Cold brew. Nice prices. Put this one on your Chiang Mai casual dining short list.

I'm a big fan of this place, and a regular customer (once or twice a week). Always great value for money and truly lovely staff. I love their pasta specials on Thursdays, the fish and chips on Fridays. And I sometimes decide for à la carte dishes. During my dozens (hundreds?) visits, I have encountered problems of course (lost order, unavailable item, wrong order...) that have always dealt with, with professionalism, apologies and once money back, by the amazing staff. The restaurant is a bit dated, it can't suit everyone's taste, but my visits have always been amazing. Long live Gekko Garden!

Always drop by here for some food and drinks for years if we visit Chiang Mai, to get that old school experience. Cheap beer and food what you want more.

Stopped in this cozy little restaurant for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes with vegetables and the best tangerine juice ever. Can't wait to return. A fantastic experience and Sooooo affordable.❤️

this restaurant sell some western food for a very affordable price. generaly speaking its little bit under the price for that kind of food. food tasting is average nothing more. you can buy some good imported cheese in that place for a very cheap price . also they make some smoked meats which are nice and tasty. generaly speaking if you need some of the above or want to have a chat with one of the customer over a beer thats one of the places that you can go to.

Food can be good. But sometimes average. Hamburgers are so fat often not cooked through. But look for other specials like their meatloaf, it is excellent. Problem here is the dining room where new tables are gone but old wagon wheel tables crowd the floor. They are heavy and difficult to sit at. I’m not sure why owner keeps them. Place is not outside with roof.

Great, friendly and very attentive service. Beer served in a chilled mug, ice on request and bottle kept cold in a sleeve. Condiment tray right out of the fridge, unlike some places where you aren't sure how long the mayo and tartar has been at room temp. Good portion sizes and price. Great variety of options and daily specials.

I like Gecko but not fry...I guess is good because see quite a few foreigners go there to eat and coffee. I recommend and feels nice in Gekko to relax

Best kept secret in town! Down home cooking at unbelievable prices. Excellent staff, delightful owner. Daily specials like giant burgers, fish & chips, etc. If you want to mingle with western locals, this is the place to be.

I shouldn't have come back after the incredibly weird 'spaghetti' I had the first time, but alas I came back for the Sunday buffet. The food 'looks' OK but not one item tasted right. I'm too lazy to describe the flavors, so I'll just say it was bad, and a pretty big waste of 500 baht (I ate there with my girlfriend, 250 each). If you're looking for western food look elsewhere...
