YOUR COMFORTING ESCAPE Had time to kill as I was waiting for the laundry so dropped in for a quick bite/hydration. Food was nicely done.. nothing fancy just your good ol’ comforting burger. Overall a decent place to just sit in, people watch, and cool down from that soaring heat. Nice roomy bar seating area. Place catered for westerners with live sports TV. A good place to be if you’re tired of all that thai seasoning although they do have some thai food in the menu.

Very much an ex-pat hangout. You're probably not going to catch any locals eating or drinking in here. Regardless, prices are decent. Heineken and Tiger on draft and all the usual suspects in bottles. Pizza is pretty good. Some of the toppings aren't the most amazing quality, but that's pretty par for the course with Western food in Thailand. Don't expect to be hovered over and waited on. You'll need to get the staff's attention if you want something, but they are super nice.

Really love this restaurant/bar. It has a classic bar to sit at with many tvs to watch sports. Banana pancake is delicious and other items like the pizza were good. After coming here multiple times it appears to draw an older crowd or local immigrant/expats. Happy this place survived covid.

Tried: Cordon Bleu and Fettuccine with Meatballs. They were not bad, but nothing to shout about. Portions are quite large by Asian standards. Dishes that comes with potato gives you a choice of how you want it cooked: Mashed, Boiled, French fries, etc. Staff is friendly and some of them can speak English well. The place is a bit hot and stuffy in the early afternoons, but the cold drinks help a lot.

I'm so glad that Maddogs is still in business 20 years and hopefully many more. Very few places to get a decent breakfast in CM right now if you're not in a big hotel. The smaller hotels just don't open the kitchen anymore. I live a ways out of the old town. But I'll try to get in there and support them as much as I can. The breakfast sausages are fantastic quality, BTW (choice of ham or bacon also) when I order snags in so many other places they use the cheapest franks they can buy,not here, here you get two decent bangers. Support this CM icon, all you expats! It's open from 0830 till 11pm.
