🫤 Unfortunately we did not enjoy our dinner here much. The food was not very tasty, the service was slow and the prices too high for the city. People often mention Indian, good, chicken, great, restaurant, service, taste, rice, baht, curry,

Being an Indian, I can tell they are no where close to Indian taste. They are highly rated in Google but I am really disappointed with taste. I will not recommend it. Haven't explored other places in Ching Mai, may be you can find better.

Ordered off food panada and what came was hardly edible. The buttered chicken was somehow utterly flavorless tomato goop with chicken that was like rubber. I'm fairly convinced they just dropped some old frozen chicken into some old tomato sauce and sent it on its way. The rice was okay. Didn't try the nan

+ The mango lassi was delicious (70 baht) - The samosa were too salty (80 baht) - The mild paneer masala was too spicy (I ordered it mild) (150 baht; the rice was an additional 50 baht) - I ordered garlic naan but got butter naan instead (50 baht) - Expensive (470 baht in total for one person)

For the price, skip it. Westerners used to westernized Indian food will find this disappointing. I suspect this place is just in business for desperate tourists. In fairness, I got delivery, but this was bad. Daal was thin and runny, vindaloo was not spicy or particularly interesting, mixed raita tasted like it was in the fridge for 3 days longer than it should have, I threw it out after one taste. Garlic Nan was fine! "Lamb" Biryani did not taste like Lamb and also not very flavorful. I paid ~700 thb for a big order, you can get a ton of tasty food for that in Chiang Mai. I'd look elsewhere. If you really need to scratch the Indian food itch, this might do, but food was subpar especially at this price. Much love and I hope this helpful for everyone!

The food was really good but the service was not. They messed up our order 3 times in one meal, and then charged us for their mistakes. The food was so good I'm still giving it 4 stars. But man do they need to improve customer service!

I’ve travelled 20+ countries and this was the Worst Indian food till date. Ordered baigan bharta which is supposed to be dry and thick but it was all gravy and all I could taste was tomato paste. Butter chicken and lamb Rogan josh had no difference. Lamb rogan josh had no spices at all! They Taste like tomato soup. And on the menu they said fish chilli would be dry but it was gravy and no taste of any chillies except some bad unhealthy tasting powder and it was so salty couldn’t even eat. Last one, ordered plain naan, and it was hard to chew, and it had charcoal in it! Take my advice and never go there!

Not very tasty, higher than you would expect price, small potions. Just mediocre. Fast service yes. But there are dozens of other option for really great Indian food here in Chaing Mai. Don’t misspend your time here. Just as a disclaimer... I only had one thing on the menu and it was the chicken vindaloo. I order hot hot and it was bland. For Christ’s sake I’m not english I want the heat. Also the sauce just tasted like generic tomato sauce. I’m not going there again....do what you will.

The portions were really small. Indian food is always cooked hot and fresh, and we got precooked food. The taste was really average. The biryani was not a biryani but some weird rice with hard chicken in it. The prices were really high for bad quality of food.

Lassi was more like sweetened butter milk, more water less curd. Dal fry was sour and paneer was not cooked properly- only good item was rotis. I was feeling damn hungry yet couldn’t complete the food. Food is not justified for the price or even in terms of taste.

Bumped into this Indian restaurant as we were looking for something to eat before heading to the Sunday night market. It was a good surprise as the food was very good. We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Shrimp Curry, Naan, and fried rice. It was my first Indian meal in Chiangmai after several visit to this Northern city and will definitely come back again.

The food was great, I had malai kofta curry, was superb. The manager was great, he let us byo and managed to fit 10 of us in. Good prices for food with lots of options. Also have a great vegetarian selection which can be made vegan. Out of the 10 of us 8 were super happy with the meal, the only negatives were someone's soup was way to spicy and peppery making it inedible and the homemade yoghurt was not fantastic.

This place wouldn't last a week in UK. Very dry chicken dishes, REALLY greasy bahjis that look like reject chicken nuggets (see pic) slow service. Nearly 2,000B for 5 people was a lot for what we had. Walked out when a busker came in and absolutely murdered Imagine by John Lennon.

Very kind and pleasant staff. Food arrived very fast and was hot. Nice and quiet on a rainy afternoon in mid July 2022, with no disturbing TV or music. It's about 50 ft from Zoe. Very relaxed with the doors open and a breeze coming through. We didn't see any pests or bugs. Very clean place with immaculately clean tablecloths, simple, sturdy wooden chairs as furniture, polished floor...they obviously take care of the place. All the food was spiced as we asked we had aloo Chaat garlic naan, vegetable biryani. Again the staff was really pleasant and this is a great place to eat Indian food. I don't know what it's like at night but in the afternoon on a Thursday it was just a nice quiet day in Thailand, dining from New Delhi recipes. We look forward to coming back here.

The food was really good. We’ve got paneer masala, chicken tikka masala, naan and all was great. Definitely recommended for the food. I give only 4 stars because I did not like the interior and there were sticky tables. However, I will still come back for the food.

Entered the restaurant with 14 of us after booking a table. As we entered there were 0 staff there to greet us, we took our own seats and waited another 5 minutes. Still no staff. I ended up by handing menus out to my group myself and then we waited another 15 minutes before anyone even came over to introduce themselves and take any orders. The service was so slow it was dreadful I ended up having to apologise to everyone as it was embarrassing. I understand when there is a big group the food can take a while but it wasn’t just the food, it was everything took forever and there was only a couple of other people in the restaurant! Such a shame because the food itself was actually nice but the whole customer experience was awful.

Worst Indian restaurant I have had ever. We ordered delivery, we got the baigan and we received inedible food. The first bite was spicy that was it's only flavor, I like spicy food but just one bite and my mouth was on fire. The biryani didn't have any salt or tasteful spices. Even the gulab jambun was bad. It tasted like a sponge and felt like it was very old, the insides felt like a ball of slime. 0 stars is more appropriate for this place, worst Indian food I have had all around the world.

Overall: A good place to have Indian food , but with limited portions of food. Areas of improvement: - Portion: The portions sizes are very small. E.g., The quantity of all curries and even rice is very limited and will suffice 1 person maximum. - Taste: 1) While the food has a good spice level, it feels a little blend. There is opportunity to make it more flavorful by using rich Indian spices. 2) All gravy tastes are very similar. E.g., All paneer curry tastes similar. Same goes for chicken curry - Atmosphere: It was very dimly lit and looked a little gloomy. There was also no music in the background

  • 3/5 Dinny Yulia W. 1 year ago on Google
For me, the biryani was not a biryani. Perhaps, it's caused by my expectation that the food will be like the biryani(s) I ate in India for three years. Or, considerably to adjust with the local taste as I am a biryani person. The portion was adequate with more than 5 chicken chunks. Hwvr, the chai was good - an authentic one with perfect mixing of milk and original Indian tea. I chose to sit outside for eating and some mosquitos accompanied me while eating lol. Didn't prefer to sit inside for the lighting was quite low so it would made me sleepy.

Most definitely the best Indian food I’ve had! The chef and owner were incredible hosts the food was 11/10. Me being a picky customer sometimes they even added and altered my dish to my taste happily! We are there this morning and can’t stop thinking about it

Exceptional cook made delicate potato naan & fresh channa chaat that was just spicy & sour enough. The eggplant was roasted for rich bhangan bartha, though I wish I could have ordered a bit of plain yogurt for less than the price for raita (50 is excessive for this). Great food, good value.

I used to live just around the corner of this restaurant and used to come here often. Now that I am back in Chiang Mai I am so happy to see it still here running smoothly. The food here is absolutely wonderful. Clean. Cool. And very friendly owner. This is a must when you come to CM.

Very good food, especially the Malai Kofta! I visited another Indian Restaurant a few days earlier and was very disappointed. Since I love Indian food, I wanted to give this restaurant a try even though the reviews were slightly lower. And I was positively surprised! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The atmosphere isn’t great, but it’s definitely worth a visit if you prioritize good food over a fancy atmosphere. The prices are a little bit more expensive than Thai food, but that seems to be the case in most Indian restaurants.

Amazing paneer korma, a little spicy, creamy and rich. I thought the flavor was one of the best I've had. I left quite satisfied, but still quite hungry. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back because the portion in my view was half of something I would want to receive in any indian restaurant. I also got rice, and it comes as a small portion in a very small bowl, but it was enough to finish the curry 😅. I would have had to order at the minimum two orders of the curry (180 baht) and rice (40 baht) to start being full and not need to eat something afterwards. Thank you for the experience
