Stayed here in April of this year, my sister and I each had a room. It was my second time staying here, first was in 2017. I came back because of the great price, the breakfast, and the awesome staff. They were all how I remembered, except the breakfast, it was better. Seriously one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere. Also, the location is perfect, short walk to the Sunday night market, central to all the good temples in old town. The rooms were great for the price, plenty of space, clean, nice balcony. Seriously can't say enough good about this place, especially the friendly helpful staff.

Best Hotel I stayed in 4 weeks travelling Thailand. Staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful, warm and welcoming. They cooked us amazing food (delicious breakfasts), looked after us (water, umbrellas, taxis, etc), gave great advice on places to visit. Outstanding, can't thank them enough, honestly the best service I've received from hundreds of hotels around the world. Location is great only a few minutes walk from centre, but very quiet and peaceful. Lovely gardens all around, nice pool, balcony, well insulated - didn't hear any noise from other rooms. Really peaceful night sleep. Huge comfortable bed and bright room with great view of pool and garden. Nice bathroom with super powerful and hot shower. Just a fabulous hotel I would recommend to anyone. We stayed 4 days and loved it.

I love this hotel. I stayed in February for 3 nights. I was a little hesitant because of the low price($50 USD/night) but we got our moneys worth at this hotel. Pros: Really helpful and friendly staff Clean rooms Free soda in the room(coke and sprite). They will also refill the sodas Unlimited free water in the lobby and in the hallway of the room Free breakfast and free snacks Cons: The breakfast was cold for some items The pool had leaves in it the first 2 days and it’s in the middle of the lobby. It’s a little awkward to be swimming next to the kitchen. Overall, this is a great hotel and the friendly staff makes up for the few cons

Had such an amazing time at BED. The most special part about my stay were the staff. They were so friendly and helpful and really helped us feel at home. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed Chiang Mai. The breakfast is delicious and made with so much love. There are also 3 super adorable cats that we looked forward to seeing. The location of the hotel was walkable and the staff helped us book excursions.

We had a wonderful stay here. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. The location is great, and there are several bars and restaurants nearby. The shining star of this hotel is the staff. They are all so friendly and kind! We also loved the two cats at the hotel. They absolutely made our day when we saw them :) The included breakfast was mostly Thai food although there were usually some Western options as well (pastries, toast). We 100% recommend and would stay here again.

This is a fabulous place where people can stay and relax there! Their staffs are friendly ,enthusiastic and passionate all the time! As for food, they supply delicious breakfast and homemade fresh snacks! Furthermore, they offer free drinks! The building features the unique design involving black and white, moreover, the environment is clean ,neat and dustless! How comfortable you stay, and you chat with your friends each other, it is a perfect place- whenever you want to ! Thus, I strongly recommend everyone choose the hotel as your priority! Trust me , it’s worth it! Certainly, it will give you unforgettable experience and wonderful feelings!

Modern, simple, fresh design. Our room was spacious and spotless. The receptionists were professional and kind, and spoke English very well. The location is great -- plenty to see within walking distance. Breakfast was an awesome surprise -- fresh cut fruit, pastries, traditional Thai treats (the banana leaf-wrapped ones are all delicious), a potato egg frittata, and more. The one *tiny* space for improvement was sound insulation. For example, when lying in bed, you can even hear the beeping noise when someone down the hall swipes their room card. That said, there was very little noise overall. Big prominent "quiet time" signs in the hall probably help. I'm a really light sleeper, so if you aren't, you'll definitely be fine. And if you're off hiking and adventuring, you'll be falling asleep easily in the big comfortable bed anyway. Would totally stay here again!

Can't recommend this place enough! It's clean, modern, and the amenities are amazing. We stayed in 4 different hotels during our visit to Thailand and always found ourselves comparing it to this one. It's really all about the small details with this place. Since it's a smaller hotel it feels more intimate, the staff cares, they ask about your travels, and go above and beyond to make sure you're enjoying your stay. Oh and the breakfast buffet is excellent, Meow is a great chef!!

What a great experience- The staff was the best! They were so friendly, helpful, and super hospitable. I loved the private balcony I had in my room. My room was clean and the showers were nice and hot. The pool and unlimited drinks were refreshing respites for the hot weather. A good value too! I liked the location- there was plenty to do within a reasonable walking distance.

If I could give this hotel 10 starts I would! Excellent service and property in all aspects. The staff was so friendly and treated us like family. We visited around the time of my partner’s birthday and they brought some cupcakes with candles one morning at breakfast. They go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and at home. The room is minimal but well designed, l love the lighting. The property was very clean and rooms were spotless every day after housekeeping. The free water was great to have, especially in glass bottles - I appreciate the eco friendly touch. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety, and they try to change it each morning. Let me just say we were sad to leave this hotel on the last night because we absolutely loved staying here. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!

Friendly service, solid industrial feel, but an uncomfortable bed and awkward shower that gets the whole bathroom wet. I am really confused why this hotel is so highly rated for reasons above. Also, the pool is basically unusable because it's right next to the lobby entrance which is awkward. The overall building and room has a solid feel with concrete and steel but nothing stands out at all. The service was friendly. Water is free but that's not much added value. After a walk around the vicinity, the Phra Singh Village is right next door. For $10-20 more you can have access to a better pool, bathtub, and a 5 star experience with great restaurant and room service. But even for the same $45 price range from BED, there are much better places to stay in Chiang Mai. Hope this helps someone.

If you're visiting Chiang Mai, you need to stay at BED! I stayed almost a week and was tempted to extend, in large part due to the amazing service (and breakfast) at BED. The staff are so incredibly sweet and treat you like family. When they found out I'm vegan, they made sure to have vegan options for me every morning so that I ate well. I don't think I've ever had such a delicious hotel breakfast - and it's some of the best Thai food I've had in Thailand, hands down. The location is fantastic too, walkable to everything but still quiet in the rooms. The three hotel cats are a great plus - they're super friendly and funny to watch play. The rooms aren't anything to write home about, but they're exactly as portrayed online and very clean. I was very happy with my room. Lastly, the benefit of free unlimited water throughout the hotel was beyond convenient! It's such a hassle to continually buy water and keep it stocked when you can't drink the tap water - BED eliminates that problem (and the problem of having snacks stocked since they provide those 24/7 in the kitchen too). I'm already dreaming about my next stay and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in the city.

The included breakfast is fantastic, the staff are very friendly, and the location is wonderful. They let us check in early and leave our bags at the front which was so appreciated. We had an issue with our room, but following our stay, the owner reached out and has delivered excellent customer service regarding our experience. If you're unhappy with your stay here, let them know and I'm confident they'll make it right. I would have no problem staying here again.

Lovely staff! Our room wasn’t ready until 6pm due to some plumbing issues being resolved, so we killed a few hours heading out. Wasn’t a big deal & they were very apologetic (and gave us some chocolates which was a nice touch). Location is great - some good little places to eat very locally without needing to go to the other side of town. Breakfast is really great and we were given a takeaway box when we had a trip booked with an early start. Room was ok - bit of an annoyance from the room upstairs who seemed to be shifting furniture about at 1am(?!) but not a huge amount to be done about that. Sound does travel so the ‘quiet time’ signs are helpful. We booked a king bed and was a bit disappointed it was a twin room where the beds had been pushed together (charge points in the middle of the bed!) and a ridge between the 2 halves that increasingly parted during the night. I like the adult only offering (despite seeing very few children in Chang Mai). I would stay again - thanks

We had a lovely time here. The hotel is in a great location within the old city and walkable to most areas you'd want to visit. The rooms were basic but had everything you would need, the beds were comfy and the blackout blinds were great. The staff were the cherry on top. They were amazing, so attentive to every need - especially at breakfast which had a good range of options! There is also a very reasonable same day laundry service if needed. Highly recommend.

Anything other than a 5 star review is a lie. They were helpful and accommodating with any questions we had ranging from check-in / check-out (which they have 24 hour desk service by the way and were even gracious enough to allow us a late check-out with only 1 days notice) to local recommendations all with a smile on their face. The hotel itself was beautiful and modern in a perfect location of old Chiang Mai. The owner took the time to greet and get to know each guest at breakfast (which by the way is to die for SO GOOD). You can tell he really cares for the hotel which reflects in how great of a place it is to stay. If I could give it 100 stars I would!

A charming hotel, great service, room, breakfast and people. Let me check in 9am instead of 3pm. Breakfast of great variety and quality. $60 per night via hotels. All young staff are pleasant and smiling. Coffee, drinks, fruits all day. Highly recommended. — an old globe trotting foodie

Great hotel, but what makes it special is the people that work there. Nice rooms with comfortable bed. They have breakfast with everything you can imagine. Nice that they have free water, sodas, and some food available 24/7. Highly recommended.

Great hotel! We stayed for a week and enjoyed a silent and laid back room and vibe as a great retreat from bustling Chiang Mai 🙌 Great location - close to everything you might need - great coffee and food as well as Sunday market and temples. Staff was very attentive and helped us get right documents for VISA extension. Plenty of lovely cats around that are just irresistible and cute 🫠 You can’t go wrong with this one!

The people who work here are very friendly and treat you like family. The location was perfect for us. The breakfast was outstanding and they have water, juice and fruit or other light snacks available at all times. The room was a fine size and the air conditioning worked very well. They had USB outlets in the bed which was very convenient. We would stay here again!

Very nice staff, so helpful. Amazing breakfast, they have soy milk❤️ The room was clean. I stayed with my mom, so shower in the room was little bit problematic. Also the AC is pointed on beds - the wind from it was not pleasant at night. Located in a quiet place in the old town.

Stayed here for two weeks since it is located at the center of everything and a walking distance from the Muay Thai gym I was training at. The rooms were pretty basic but has everything you need: bed, toiletries, mini fridge, safe, etc. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were wonderful. There are also cute cats at this hotel for you cat lovers :) Overall would highly recommend this hotel for your stay.

We had a wonderful stay at BED, even better than what we expected. The design of the hotel is amazing, the rooms are very modern and comfortable, we slept very well. The location is perfect. The breakfast is delicious, made by a chef, which typical dishes from Chang Mai but also occidental choices. And what makes the difference : the whole staff is so nice, really careful and helpful. If we come back to Chiang Mai one day, no doubt it will be at BED !

I was really happy staying here. I actually kept extending my stay. It's one of those places where management makes staff friendliness a top priority. Rooms are comfortable, the ac is good, and everything is clean. Breakfast is quite good and the setting makes for a nice start to your day. Highly recommended.

Great location, excellent value for money, comfortable and clean rooms, staff is extraordinary. We came here two nights as part of our honeymoon trip and we loved it! They welcomed us here with flowers! A plus is also the free bicycle service that is very handy to explore the old town that is much bigger than we thought! Thanks for the great experience Bed staff! Ah also breakfast and water is free and tasty!

A really great hotel in a fantastic location. You are just a short walk from so many of the great sights of Chiang Mai such as the main temple, night market and historical sights. The staff are very friendly and you are made to feel very welcome. The pool is fantastic, and the rooms are very comfortable. Everything is clean and modern. The breakfast is one of the best parts about this Hotel- a fantastic selection, everything was tasty and so many vegetarian options. There is also free water, coffee and juice you can help yourself to throughout the day too.

I stayed there several years ago. I’ve traveled extensively, and BED is probably my favorite hotel anywhere. The staff go beyond to keep you happy. The first day, I was offered a cappuccino at breakfast. Every day after that, they asked me if I wanted my cappuccino again, and remembered exactly how I took it. Ask them any question, and they will jump through hoops to get an answer for you. The breakfast here is unrivaled. The fruit is amazing, and the Thai sweet wraps are to die for. They also told me that if I wanted anything special, give them a day’s notice and they would have it for me. Years later, I still think about those breakfasts. Plus, they have refrigerators with fruit and bottled water that you can grab throughout the day. The location is ideal. You are set back far enough from a big street to be quiet, but walk 1/2 block and you are in the middle of a lovely area full of shops and restaurants. You can easily walk to everything in Old City. If you want a lovely, friendly, welcoming place to stay, choose BED. And if you’re thinking of going to Chiang Mai, do it!

We stayed in this cute place for a few days in June 2022. This stay definitely is worthy of a 5 star review! The rooms are perfect in size. Hospitality is top notch. Free water, juice and hot beverages. The caretakers here are damn sweet. They took care of early breakfast packing as well with fresh fruits. Must stay here if visiting Chaing Mai!

From start to end they were FANTASTIC! We arrived, we were greeting by the warmest and friendliest staff. They offered us breakfast even though we checked in after. They treated us like we were family as well! Our concerns were they’re concerns and they were always happy to help. They help you book activities as well and the location is great for walking to temples and the Sunday Night Market. Our only regret was not eating the amazing breakfast every morning! Thank you so much BED for a comfortable and wonderful stay. If we visit a Chiang Mai Old Town we would definitely book with BED.

Fantastic hotel, everyone is really friendly and helpful. The rooms have everything you need and the pool is a little cold - but that's not what you come here for! The breakfast is amazing and super tasty, everyday we stayed the day off with the best meal of the day! Unlimited bottled water kept us hydrated!

Totally loved it. The staff is superb they went over and beyond to help us. You have an amazing breakfast, free water and free cola and soda from minibar. The design of the rooms is minimal, clean and efficient. They have as well a pool for you to enjoy.

This place is such a wonderful hidden gem! All of the staff members are kind, helpful, and energetic. The rooms are clean and modern. The hotel also gives you free unlimited bottled water and an amazing daily breakfast. The location was also ideal for us since it was literally a 5-10 minute walk to most of the major historic sites in the old city. If we are ever in Chiang Mai in the future I will definitely book this place again without hesitation.
