A HIDDEN GEM!!! We found this lovely place by accident looking for accommodations near the Golden Triangle. The villas are charming and comfortable in a beautiful peaceful setting. Breakfast was fresh and delicious! The owners are engaging and make guests feel welcome. We will be back for sure. Thank you Jin and Ian.

We loved our stay here! Jeam and Ian are fantastic hosts and very accommodating, as well as interesting to chat with. The rooms are really comfortable and the view of the lake is stunning at sunset. We loved taking an afternoon dip in the pool and eating the delicious food at the restaurant. It is a lovely, peaceful resort that is absolutely worth returning to!

What a great place to stay very peaceful and quiet. The owners are great people prepared to accommodate you in any way. Rooms are clean and tidy and the views over the lake and early morning bird calls are to die for. Will be back again for another stay. Also the meals are really good and plenty to eat. We stayed at the Viang Yonok Hotel in November and could not have been more pleased. The wonderful owners are lovely people and the accomodations supberb. What a treat to see the peacocks come for breakfast in the morning. Hope to return and stay again.

Lovely guesthouse facing Chiang Saen Lake. The garden is spectacular populated with cats and peacocks! The owners are super kind, they offered me one of the best beef curry I had in Thailand, also they helped me planning my tour in motorbike. I spent one more day here because I loved this place. Hopefully I will be back. Pietro.

Beware! This place is so nice you might end up changing your plans and stay here longer. It almost happened to us! The hosts are very welcoming. We got served great vegan breakfast (rice soup with mushrooms). They also bake their own bread - arguably the best bread in Thailand - and serve it for breakfast as well. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and beautiful. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept on in Thailand. We've visited during a motorcycle road trip. As it turned out the owner is an experienced motorcyclist, who have us tips on which roads to ride, where to stay and what to see. Great advice that made the rest of our trip even better than we'd expect. But there's more. There are 5 beautiful cats on the premise, as well as peacocks visiting from a park nearby. Truly a magical place with great vibe and ambience.

We stayed for 3 nights as we were travelling around the North of Thailand by scooter. The surrounding area is lovely and the owners of the resort are both really interesting and made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent and the rooms were beautifully decorated. I would definitely stay here again if we are in the golden triangle area. The breakfast fruit pancake is possibly the most delicious thing I have ever eaten.

Great place, great lake view, great atmosphere and wonderful hospitality by the couple that running this amazing village hotel. The rooms are very big and very clean, it’s really feel like heaven !!! We would really like to return here again in order to explore the area and the people. Highly recommend !!!

Great place to stay with amazing food. Host are extremely friendly and helpful when it comes to planing your trip. Once you get there, don't forget to ask Ian about his motorcycles ;)

This place is an oasis beside Chiang Saen lake, the grounds are immaculate, beautiful lawn area with a lovely pool, breakfast was excellent, rooms very clean and comfortable, our room looked over the lake, so many beautiful birds, water buffaloes wading in the lake, we would have stayed longer but our road trip had to continue….we’ll be back!

Ive stayed in a lot of hotels in Thailand from low end to some of the best 5* places . Prices at Viang Yonok put it at the lower end of the scale so I was expecting a decent / pleasant enough stay but nothing amazing. I was very much wrong. The rooms are very much nicer than expected. And the food both breakfast and dinner are as good or better as any I've had in any hotel including some that were very expensive. The hosts are awesome . Super friendly and helpful. It's nice and rare when your expectations are blown away.

We only stayed for one night because we were travelling the area but it was long enough to soak up the perfection of this place. We could not have chosen better place. I do recommend it not only because it’s rather cool, fresh and romantic at the same time but also because it’s very clean and well kept which doesn’t show only inside the little huts but also in the immaculately kept garden. But despite its own beauty, it would not be the same without the lovely owners who are incredibly sweet and friendly, caring and kind. In the morning we were served full English breakfast, pancakes, homemade bread and marmalade and fruit. We also tried freshly made local coffee and herbal tea. Next time we have to stay longer! The perfect spot to visit the Golden Triangle area and still enjoy a relaxing stay, close to nature. The owners are top hosts. Stongly recomend.

i couldn’t recommend a stay here more! it was a lovely experience from check-in to check-out! the owners are phenomenal and treat you like family. you are always taken care of and given extraordinary recommendations around town. the property is on a gorgeous lake and features a pool for lazy days, while it’s just 10 minutes from town if you crave some exploring! the breakfast is included and is tailored to exactly what you want (even if you have dietary restrictions, like me)! the rooms are clean, feature a smart tv, include an incredible shower, and have such pretty views! the perfect getaway for couples, friends, and the whole family alike!
