I had to have an MRI on my foot and in order to receive results, I had to take time out of my day, plus pay a co-pay, just for Dr. Chin to let me know everything was fine. Every other doctor in this day in age is utilizing secure messaging or phone calls to provide updates. The final straw was needing a new pair of orthotics and they wouldn't accept a handwritten, insurance-verified referral. They insisted that it go through the system, even though it was verified and covered upon calling the insurance company. Would not recommend going to this office again.

My daughter plays basketball and rolled her ankle pretty bad during one of her games. Dr Chin came out from the stands after it happened, introduced himself to us and asked if he could help. We gladly said yes and he quickly gave her some immediate relief to start the healing process. We took her to urgent care the next day and they said unfortunately it was broke. I contacted Dr Chin and shared the results and he was surprised. He gave us a different diagnosis and treated her for the next week outside of his office where it was convenient for us. She was back up and playing within 2 weeks! Had we taken urgent cares advise she would have been in a cast for 4-6 weeks, then therapy and she would have missed the entire season. Thank you Dr Chin for being proactive, jumping in and using your gifts and talents, rescuing our daughters season, and saving us from dozens of doctors appointments! Can’t tell you how much we appreciate you!

Dr Chin and his team were caring and attentive to my needs. Dr Chin from the start let me know that I was in good hands and immediately set me up with a treatment plan. He took the time with me to find out what my lifestyle was to have incurred this injury. He is very attentive and explained various options for treatment. His team is also very professional, and when I show up for treatments, take me right away. I could not have found a more wonderful team!

A very good experience for my first visit. All staff were very easy to communicate with and knowledgeable. Dr. Chin, is an excellent professional and was great in explaining the issues that I have and how to treat them for improvement. I would highly recommend this practice for anyone with appropriate conditions.

I was referred to Dr Chin here after dealing with a foot injury after stepping on a rock. Dr. Chin was thorough and evaluated my records and immediate ordered an MRI. Within 2 days he had a diagnosis and plan of action that he talked me through. Presented all options for me and we proceeded with a Calrix Flo injection a week later. While the injection was expectedly painful, he talked to me throughout and managed his technique and my reactions flawlessly. 6 weeks later the tear completely healed, and I’m able to walk without pain. I’m eternally grateful and would recommend him to everyone!

For the last 10+ years, Dr. Chin is my first call after a foot injury. I find his no non-sense, back-to-action approach to be a great fit for patients who are active and want to stay active. I'm grateful to have this practice in the neighborhood and hope that it remains in the area for many years to come.

Dr. Chin and his staff are always professional, friendly and timely. Dr. Chin sits down and really listens to you. He doesn't rush you in and out, he takes time to understand your issue. Dr. Chin offers his expertise and advice without trying to sell you orthotics (unless you need it) and he doesn't make you come back numerous times.

I highly recommend Dr. Michael Chin. Dr. Chin listened to my concerns and answered my questions in a clear and concise way. He is a kind, caring person and made me feel extremely comfortable throughout our appointment. Bonus he is also in Hinsdale!

My experience at The Running Institute with Dr. Chin was exceptional. He spent time with me to understand my concerns, and he explained what he was doing and why every step of the way. I highly recommend this practice!

The staff was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. There are not enough good things to be said for Dr. Chin, who clearly cares a great deal for the foot health and comfort of his patients. Overall a very positive experience and one that I would recommend to any athlete struggling with foot issues.

Dr. Chin and all the folks at The Running Institute are truly fantastic. I had been suffering with Achilles tendon pain in my left foot for ten years (!). When the injury initially happened ten years ago, I got it checked out and was referred to physical therapy. At physical therapy, they told me the source of the problem was my hips, not my Achilles, and they had me doing a ton of exercises to strengthen my hips and butt. After doing physical therapy for the better part of a year, it didn't really get better. They basically told me to stop running for a while, keep doing the exercises and it would get better. It never did. I just suffered with chronic Achilles pain for ten years. A few months ago, the pain became so bad, I was desperate. I came across Dr. Chin's name via Google search and I saw the great reviews so I decided to give it a try. Dr. Chin listened to my experience, did X-rays, then ordered an MRI. Turns out I had a tear in my Achilles (albeit small but still very painful). He said based on my injury, I was a good candidate for their biologic injection therapy. He said the other option was surgery, which had a very long healing time. I opted for the biologic injection and I am so, so happy I did! Starting about two weeks after the injection I started noticing a significant reduction in pain. I am now six weeks out, and the pain is vitually gone. I can run without pain. I truly feel like a new person. The only downside was that the biologic injection is not covered by insurance (which Dr Chin acknowledges is unfortunate because it's just so effective), but I'm telling you, for me, it was 1000% worth it. Sorry for the long review, I could rave on all day about Dr. Chin! Highly recommend!

Dr. Chin has helped me recover from two injuries over the last several years -- in both cases, succeeding where other health care professionals had not. He uses the latest techniques and technologies, including most recently, a painless treatment called EMTT which helped my stress fracture heal more quickly. He's the first source I go to now for foot issues, and I highly recommend him.

Really enjoyed my visit. Everyone is very professional. Dr Chin found the problem and immediately started treatment. The only reason for 4 stars was it took 50 minutes to see the doctor. However, I did notice when I was with Dr Chin though he spends plenty of time with his patients and seems to get to know them so that attention is worth the wait.

Dr. Chin and team were so great! It felt like talking to friends. Dr. Chin was so knowledgeable about what was going on with my ankle and reassured me that things would be fine! So glad he was recommended to me!!

I am a very active triathlete who experiences a very heavy training workload. I have had two main injuries in the last 4 years, one was related to achilles and another related to bone's rubbing in my foot. Dr Chin was able to heal both in a timely and consistent manner. The thing that I appreciate the most about Dr Chin is he takes such a wholesome look at all the treatment options out there and has access to technologies in his clinic that I'm sure even 90% of the foot/ankle specialists in major cities don't have. In both cases I was able to return back to a full training load without invasive surgery and I could not reccomend Dr Chin enough for all types of people who are dealing with issues. He is very hesitant to use treatments that are more of a "band-aid" solution that don't fix the root of the issue and I'm happy about that.

Dr Chin is outstanding! Came in with foot pain that prevented me from walking. Left after his manipulation with zero pain and able to walk. Knowledgeable, skilled, kind, a genius. He also had some helpful advice and addressed a second issue that I had with both feet. I only wish that he treated all parts of the body!

Dr. Chin is an amazing doctor and amazing person. I left Chicago a few years ago, but I still I flew all the way from LA to see him because after 5 months of being misdiagnosed I wanted to see someone I trusted. He figured out my entire problem in one visit and I already am on the mend. He truly cares about his patients

I've gone to Dr. Chin and the Running Institute (even with them being out of network) for years for various feet and ankle issues that other doctors couldn't help me with. He's up to speed on the latest technologies and therapies and explains them in detail. He has kept me on the tennis court and living an active life. The Running Institute should be your first stop if you have foot and ankle issues. Wade

The team at The Running Institute were very helpful, friendly and efficient. My scheduled appointment was right on time and I was in-and-out and able to get to work right on time! Dr. Chin was professional and courteous and listened to my main issue, diagnosed, and provided clear instructions and products to start my treatment right away. I will definitely recommend Dr. Chin and the team a The Running Institute to my family and friends!

I saw Dr Chin. I was very pleased with my visit. Dr Chin was friendly. He made me feel at ease. He was very professional and I could tell he knows a lot about feet. I felt like I could trust his assessment of my feet. I would have no hesitation recommending him. I could see why my friend had highly recommended him.

I am very impressed with Dr. Chin and the Running Institute. I've had my foot looked at before at another clinic with just perfunctory care and no relief. His explanation and detail on the particulars of my injury make sense. He adjusted my foot ( I didn't even know that was an option) and made recommendations for particular braces. Staff was good and reasonable valet parking made going downtown easy. I am hopeful for relief

🫤 Let me start by saying this, ambiance - 10/10. Everything else- I was HIGHLY disappointed by. Maybe it’s that I have had very similar experiences with even more amenities in Vegas at half the cost, but everything about this place was not worth the money. First of all- we were greeted by someone who...

👍👍 This is one of my favorite massage facilities. No frills, just access to healers. I rely on massage therapy to function as a human due to chronic pain, trauma recovery and scoliosis. Massage keeps me healthy. I’ve tried several therapists and have not had a bad experience. Because this is a teachi...
