Unfortunate, but Block 37 is a shell of what it once was. All the food court is closed. Very few stores left. Another casualty of "the great over-reaction", more commonly referred to as covid.

Block 37 is a massive mall with plenty of stores to shop, browse, and walk around. There is also a movie theater and dining area in the mall. This mall was right in front of my hotel during my stay in Chicago, so coming here was simply a walk across a street/traffic light. I went to Sephora and Zara. There was plenty of security at this place to keep everyone safe and law-abiding...

Fashion wise: Great place if that's your style. 3 stars for the amount of empty storefronts & lack of variety. I feel that's a bit harsh, but there's the 3 higher price point stores. The one clubbing store and then one for younger consumers. It would be lovely to see something in between that be added in the future though I don't think it's possible. 4th star added in for the amenities that really promote the traffic: red/blue lines, Starbucks, quick foods, movies, rock climbing and golf.

This is a pretty decent mall. In a sense, it feels a little strange, like almost abandoned. Nothing too great here, just another place to shop on State Street. The biggest convenience comes when you're trying to go inside to stay away from extreme heat or cold weather.

I usually just go here for the movies in the AMC upstairs. The theater is great I love it. I'm indifferent to the rest of the mall but that's because I'm not a big fan of Zara's, Akira or the Francesca's inside. I've been inside of them though and they seem nice and orgagnized. There's not much to eat here right now so I wouldn't really plan for a meal. Maybe a snack downstairs if you go to the bakery? The cheesecake is really good. It was around $10 though for a small bit. The drinks are awesome at the bakery too!

Great gym. $25 is fine for a day pass. Lot of climbing to do and even a normal gym area! Bathrooms are nice and they even have a littl charging station up front with some lotion too!

We played "Clue" the walking game, had a lotta fun looking for clues in the different stores and area around the mall. Definitely a go to, uhmmm could've been priced cheaper, but still a good time!

After walking through the pedway, I spent some time walking and browsing through the shops. They are some great finds and bargains. I had a chance to listen to a musician playing a vast array of selections on her violin.

Lots of stores and restaurants. Hidden gem. I passed through after my plane ride headed to cta train. Stopped at the Starbucks for a ham croissant and coffee. I will have to stop by again I was in a rush

Went to the bouldering climbing gym, GREAT facility and WICKED COOL people. You know you’re in a real climbing gym when the front counter dude is rocking beautiful double braids. 3/5 stars purely for the price of a day pass. Everything else is quaint.

Really nice mall in the heart of downtown. Sleek interior architecture. Although it never seems to be very busy here. Lots of empty space. There's also a state of the art multiplex movie theater on the top floor with a lounge. Great for a night out in the town.

A nice but standard shopping mall. It connects to the metro, which is convenient. It was clean but hard to find a directory and navigate initially. Had to walk around to find the directory, which was not next to a map, then had to find the map, next to the elevators.

During my recent trip to Chicago, I parked at Block 37 parking garage and spent some time shopping in the mall. The mall itself was decent, but I encountered an issue when I lost my parking ticket. The garage had a sign stating that the charge would be the day's maximum, which I was fine with. However, to my surprise, they added an extra $25 in fees that were not clearly posted anywhere, and unfortunately, guest services were unavailable to assist with this matter. This was a disappointing experience.

Went into four stores (Anthropologie, Banana Republic, that plant studio store, Sephora) and not one person spoke. Not so much as a hello. They sure did watch me, though. And the stores were virtually empty too, so they weren't busy. It's 2022. Do better. I'm not spending any money in your stores when I don't feel comfortable and am being profiled.

Went to AMC to watch movie, nice seats, bar, food. New ordering food kiosk, no employees. Food is delivered to seat. Still have to get alcohol at bar. More empty stores. New simulated golf in mall and gym with climbing wall. Masks no longer required. Have added more seating. Stores now have bars gates when closed. More security.

So here at Block 37 now and overall everything is lack luster. The first red flag was the unenthused bartender and the watered down drinks. The next red flag was the dry, tough and burnt burger. I slowly started to hear everyone's upsetment with their food. This was enough to ask for a refund and never return but my boyfriend really wanted to see this movie so I relented. The final straw came with a power outage that occurred during the climax of the movie - with nothing to offer other than rewatching the movie or receiving a voucher to return. I chose neither. I promptly got a refund on this atrocity of this failing mall and movie theater

Expected the screen to be a bit bigger. I would recommend sitting in the middle rather than the back. I like the smaller audience capacity and more intimate setting. Comfy seats to put your feet up and lean back in the reclining chairs

Nice mall in the heart of Chicago downtown. There are places where you can shop, have coffee, grab some food, seating areas and spend some time window shopping.

Really fun! We were provided a clue booklet to help solve the case, they also gave us little golf pencils to take notes. The clues were really intricate and involved, very creative and fun to solve. It wasn't easy for me (I suck at the board game) but I enjoyed discussing the clues and motives with my friends. There were 9 places to go, 3 or 4 I think were across the street from Block37 but easy to access. The clues were in the store fronts and several places provided coupons to players. The only reason I took off a star was because there were too many people playing at once and we had to wait a long time to see each clue, so instead of taking 60-90 minutes it took us 3 hours. But all in all it was great!

Wow, this shopping center has it all, and I'm glad I found everything I needed here. I had a great time wandering around, checking out different shops and meeting new people. This mall is a great place to go shopping with your family and have a good time. Thank you so much! You guys are the best!

It was quite an experience to visit the big city. Lots to see and do but I was there only for couple hours. Visited the bean sculpture, WNDR museum, Starbucks Roastery and had dinner at the Dearborn. Tall buildings and parking garage everywhere. Nice to visit but my comfort zone is small town.

This is a great place to get offended by security. I mostly come here for two things, the restrooms and CTA’s terminals. The security teens whom they hired truly need to get off of their phones, and look at the world around them. (There are at least three good guards by the way.) At the base of the main staircase on the main floor, there is a fake charity flyer kid who’s handing out flyers for “Donations”, the teenaged security guard on the third floor who follows women into the restroom, stares at us while we are minding our own business, and tells us “Excuse me sir you are in the women’s restroom.” There were only WOMEN in the restroom! That kid almost got her feelings hurt. Also, the basement restrooms close PROMPTLY at 6:00pm, so if you are elderly and trying to keep your dignity in between trains, try the second floor restrooms. There is a reason why I don’t shop in this mall.

We kinda wound up n this building by accident we were look'n 4 a bar type place 2 grab a bite 4 lunch while downtown Chicago still a very interesting stores all throughout the levels. Can't say much more other than it's jus basically Department style shopping.

  • 5/5 Robin S. 11 months ago on Google
I like it because you can go to see a movie and you can go shopping all in one place. For me, I really like it because it's right there on the bus stop when you come out of Block 37.

Security is a joke here! They let a homeless guy walk around the mall continuously. Out of nowhere he would harass a random person who didn’t do or say anything to him. And what was done? Nothing!!!! I get you open a certain time but to tell someone you can’t sit down at a table until it’s a certain time. But when it’s literally 2 min until that time? Complete joke and they are all rude and disrespectful! You can just as a simple question and they give you an attitude with their answer. Something needs to be done with personnel that does security here!!!

Very nice and clean theatre! Food arrived on time, hot and delicious. Staff was very nice and friendly. Mario attended us and he made sure my family and I were well taken care of, very attentive. He made our first time at that theatre a great experience!

The Clue experience was super fun for our family of four - two adults, a college student and a high schooler. We enjoyed walking around downtown Chicago looking for clues and stopping to snack and drink. Butler team was great!

This is a mall that has my favorite bakery (Magnolia Bakery) in downtown Chicago. I have to call and make sure they have my German Chocolate slices when I am in the area. This is one of the best!

My favorite shop is the plant shop. The Potting Bench. I have bought several plants from them, good healthy bugless plants and the staff is very helpful answering questions. I have been to the theater, and it’s clean and the screens are a good size surround sound is great.

I went to the AMC there and it was a great experience. The drink from the bar was amazing! Comfortable chairs, it's really cool that the food is brought to your seat and just a really good time at the movies.

This is a great place for shopping and meetings. The Board of Election had our training class here and it was so nice. The bathrooms were sanitized. I also found a flower shop that sells Pathos.

I still want to go to this shopping center to satisfy my needs. Thank you for your brilliance and energy in creating this lovely, fuzzy, relaxing environment! The setting is immense and breathtaking! All you're looking for is right here! From food options to bag and clothing options! I'll be back to do some shopping!

I actually love this little downtown mall. Some stores can be a little uppity so be aware. If you feel uncomfortable just walk out. Especially if your black people think we're broke. I've had mixed experiences in most of the clothing stores. Everyone else is always awesome.

My friend and I enjoyed a great night out at Block 37. We went to see "Respect"and enjoyed the space as well as the food. The burger was hot and fresh, but the fries were warm and some were over cooked. Overall we had a good time.

Very sad mall to go in to. Not busy. Many vacant spots. Its a building where you walk in, an can see the other side of the building only a minute or two walk infront of you. Not many choices of stores. Low populated malls in MN had more shopping options. BUT seeing how it's in Chicago, not much could compare with surrounding blocks possibly having what you're looking for.

Block 37 is pretty good. I go there for the AMC Theater seats a super comfy the setting is smaller which in this time is great the parking garage is HORRIBLE it is so confusing and hard to park the only good thing about parking is just jump on the elevator and you are already in the building

  • 3/5 Brandi L. 2 years ago on Google
Poor service. We sat in the theater for 30 minutes before the movie was turned on causing us to skip previews. Cheese fries were cold. Manager and workers all seem hung over and unhappy.

  • 4/5 Sandy T. 2 years ago on Google
Not too many stores but if you are looking for something specific and know it is in that store, great option. Different levels of the same store and you can find really good deals.

Stopped in at ‘The Dearborn’ restaurant for an early lunch. Really good food. Looks like they have a good craft drink menu. Nice place to sit and watch the world walk by outside. Worth a visit even for a drink at the bar.

I love the Sephora & Zara in this mall, but there could be more. There are shops outside this mall, so it makes sense why there‘s not much in the actual building. Love the Nordstrom Rack, Uniqlo, Primark, etc.

Decent place to shop, various businesses inside to shop. It is located on State Street downtown. Quick place to pop in. Great the train goes here, you can really access public transportation.

  • 3/5 Hal miller j. 2 years ago on Google
Nice but confusing. I parked in the garage below and got lost twice trying to find where to find the elevator then trying to find my car. $41.00 later for a 2 hour parking day. NOT WORTH IT 😕 😒

Block 37 is a massive complex located in the Chicago Loop area. It’s a full square block and has a large variety of stores and restaurants. There is also a “dine-in” movie theater within the building and a great cafeteria called Latinicity, which has many different Latin-inspired options to choose from.

  • 4/5 Ashley D. 2 years ago on Google
Mask required. I was surprised to see that the prices of these stores weren't jacked up as a tourist destination. Sadly, not impressed by the bakery. Bought a pretty jacket at Zara.

I love to come here to use the climbing gym and then go watch a movie at the AMC theater. They have a good selection of stores for shopping. A blue line stop is at this location as well.

  • 3/5 Stephen W. 1 year ago on Google
Other than the AMC this is a mostly empty mall with some higher end stores and a mostly disinterested crowd. I guarantee more people visit here to transfer between trains than come for the shops. The AMC is great though.

First time going onto upper floors looking at all that is offered for a shopping experience. Great place for buying gifts and having lunch.

  • 5/5 Jodian B. 1 year ago on Google
Very beautiful mall with a variety of restaurants, jewelry stores and boutique clothing stores. I found this mall because I was heading to the blue line station. If you're searching for the blue line train station, it is through this mall on the ground floor.

A typical inside city mall. Multi-levels and Cleaner than others and has some good stores. The AMC movie theatre is on the top floor.

  • 5/5 The R. 1 year ago on Google
It was a great experience. Everything was clean and inviting. My snacks were of great quality. And it was not crowded. Spacious with great seating. A 10 out of 10 for me.

If you're visiting Chicago this place is quite convenient all type of public transport is just within the area, Subway (red & blue station) , Uber, Lyft & buses is within your hand. Cinema is a topnotch (AMC theatre ) and indoor sports. Restaurant and famous theatre play center (Goodman, Chicago, Nederlander) are just a crossed the street. Best place to stop by especially during winter time, clean and well maintained. You'll feel safe for this Mall has security too.

  • 5/5 La A. 1 year ago on Google
Great mall for a quick stop, just a few stores but they are big. You can also find a cinema (around $20 the tickets) and they have a bar 👌

  • 5/5 Elizabeth C. 1 year ago on Google
Francesca's, outlets to charge your phone, red and blue line access. On State Street? Dream come true. Very clean. Exceptionally clean for the city

  • 2/5 Tobias O. 3 months ago on Google • 2 reviews New
There’s basically nothing to do here at 6 o’clock on a Saturday night other than shop at Zara or see a movie at AMC. They don’t hardly even have many places to sit down. I’m waiting to see a show (doors open at 7:15) and thought this place would be a fun place to kill an hour, but I was wrong. No wonder malls are dying; not even the city of Chicago could keep this place alive.
