I'm in love! Went today for the first time to pick up some freshly roasted beans. I ordered a cardamom rose latte, guava and cheese pastry and banana chocolate chip muffin. The owner makes all the pastries by hand and it tasted wonderful. They are only open on weekends but I will certainly make a regular appearance here. No room for sitting, its truly a carryout spot. Highly recommend for coffee lovers.

I would give this gem of a spot more stars, if I could. Ordered the coco cream cold brew off the specials menu today. Paired perfectly with the warmed pan de bono (cheese bread.) I only wish they were open more days so I could spend more money. Thanks, TOC!

I make espresso at home and get my beans here. They're always freshly roasted and high quality. The guava and cheese pastry is one of the best I've had and the coffee they make here is really good too, and the workers are great. Often has a line down the sidewalk (a hint as to the quality), and the interior space fits maybe four people, no seating, so be prepared to take your purchase somewhere else to enjoy. Fantastic little coffee shop.

I’m afraid to write a review of how good this place is because I’m worried I’ll wait longer to get my coffee on weekends lol. This is an absolute neighborhood gem. The cafe con leche (hot & iced versions) are THE best I’ve had…like ever. It’s made Cuban style with honey and agave which is the only way I want my coffee now. Customer service 10/10, pastries (legit all of them) 10/10. Family ran which is even more amazing. The only downside is that they’re only open on weekends so please support these guys so they can hire more people to work weekdays so that I can spend more money and drink more amazing coffee every day of the week :). Thanks for everything TOC!

The coffee here is amazing! I can’t say enough good things about their Cuban pastries. I bought six and wish I had bought twelve! They only allow one at a time in the shop right now to be COVID safe. It’s worth the wait. Check their Facebook page for changes in hours before going in. I got the salted caramel cold brew. It was delicious.

one of my favorite spots, they're always incredibly nice and have a great selection of delicious pastries. Try the almond croissant! I only wish they were open during the week.

Always delicious food and coffee! Best cheese and guava pastries! I get a least one each of the pastries. Coffee is amazing. She takes her time crafting each cup.

High quality coffee and beautiful owners with a great sense of hospitality. Staff is attentive and friendly. Great selection of coffee bean varieties and loving my daily espresso these days. Amazing food options even for myself who eats vegan, highly recommended this gem!

I've always seen this place when doing food deliveries and today I had the chance to stop by. Unfortunately it was closed 😔 BUT the owners were there and they made me a cup of coffee they opened their store for a few minutes just for me. Can't thank you enough and best believe I'll come back on the weekend can't wait to try your pastries. I highly recommend this place this 10 times better than Starbucks. Support your local coffee shop! And to the owners: thank you once again I felt welcomed. Muchas gracias!!

This hole in the wall cafe is THE BEST!!! I have been coming here with my boyfriend on the weekends since they opened. LOVE LOVE LOVE all the pastries, but the guava and cheese is to die for! They have the best cafe con leche I’ve ever had. The owners and barista always greet us with a warm welcome so walking a few block in the cold months is well worth it!! I just wish they were open more days in the week so i can have my guava and cheese lol!

Alright I can’t explain how but this is legit the best coffee place to get coffee and pastries . I already had a top three but this just became my number one spot to get coffee now. Their iced café con leche was good af (with oak milk). My girlfriend got the iced brown sugar coffee and she loved it. I will be a returning customer. I wish it open later but maybe the owner will reply as to why but god damn the coffee is great.

Good things often come in scruffy packages. It's no Starbucks to look at but the coffee drinks are better by a mile. The owners and relatives work the counter. They are knowledgable and very friendly. They roast on site so be sure to pick up some of their Brazilian and Colombian espresso beans. It is the best espresso in Chicago and I have tried them all.

For several years, this has been the only coffee my wife and I drink. They have a nice variety of flavors and you can buy the coffee at several grocery stores like Fresh Farms, Valle and Cermak Produce. The coffee shop itself has great pastries, but they sell out quickly!

Of all the places I've tried around the city, Taste of Colombia has the best coffee anywhere in Chicago. My favorite part though is the wonderful people who work there! I feel super fortunate to have them just two blocks from my house. Make sure to give them a try! How cool this place is! They have the best coffee and desserts in all of Chicago, but the best thing is the people who work there. Many thanks to Naima, Toni and Alejandra. Always a pleasure to spend some time with you every weekend!
