Great for the gram, bad for your pocket and mouth. I wish I had better things to say but the hype is in the aesthetic and the taste just ain’t all there. The hot chocolate is water based so it tastes like a fancier version of concession stand hot chocolate and the donuts are alright but the ratio of donut to topping is off. They look great and I’d say if you’ve never been then try it but I wouldn’t go back. This a one and done type of place.

Perfect for winter! Got the traditional hot chocolate and the S’mores hot chocolate. The area is a bit covered so you are not standing in the cold. It is a small space with about 6 stools and 2 small tables!

I won't be coming any time soon. I feel like this is the kind of spot that sells on the idea of crazy, sugary concoctions but the idea definitely sounds better than the actual taste. It was overall disappointing. Pros: - good location - pretty fast service Cons: - the employee taking our order had a weird vibe that made us feel uncomfortable - my donut was slightly raw on the inside so I didn't finish it all the way - overpriced for what it is

Delicious fresh to order donuts… but I miss the old way they use to serve the donuts (customers use to get a mini syringe to self inject the syrup)

I've visited this place a couple of times. To be begin with, it is a bit overpriced for shakes. Also, they do have some flavourful and unique gelato flavors. One of the best hidden gem dessert spots around chicago! Their gelato is amazing! So creamy and flavorful. My favorites are pistachio, mint chip and malted chocolate. The serving sizes are also perfect! The gelato shakes are so good and I love the specials and seasonal flavors they have. Would highly recommend!

I stop stop there in my "donuts tour" as I read really good reviews and nice pictures. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. I've got the lemon curd and pistachio glaze and it was not good at all.....It came in a box and they have a peace of cardboard under the donuts and we almost eat it....

My first time and would definitely come back! Staff was so friendly and welcoming. I had the cookies ‘n cream. Never had a donut like this! Yum! Go try them all.

Known for their hot chocolate and delicious bombolonis, Bombobar is a small ice cream, gelato and coffee shop near Fulton market. We tried the classic hot chocolate and build your owns. The build your own let's you pick the base chocolate and from a variety of toppings.

Stopped by the window in the side of the restaurant to grab one of their instagram-worth shakes. My friend and I each got different shakes but both were cloyingly sweet and were hard to finish. Flavor profiles were underdeveloped and overshadowed by the sugar content of the drink. Nice for a picture on social media, but the price point and mediocre taste made sure that I won’t be getting one again.

If you’re looking for something sweet, especially after or during a boozy night out. You’ll find these doughnuts delicious and conveniently well located.

The hot chocolate that used to be sold here a couple of years ago was one of the best in town. They "reopened" after a year or so, but it is the worst now.

We came to hang out in this area because it's in the Fulton Market area and I wanted to go to some bars/restaurant in the area. Bombobar is a pretty cozy space that is built from extending the side of an adjacent restaurant. The area is a big tent, but feels pretty cozy. To order the food, there's a window kinda like take out that places and calls out your order. My friend got the s'mores one and I got the vanilla cream custard bombiloni. Both were so good! For the taste, the actual bombiloni was warm and soft yet chewy- just like the Italian deal. For the presentation, both of them came in a cute box with a hole in the middle to hold the large pipette (the filling of the bombiloni was held in the pipette and you can squeeze it to DIY and add filling vs. already having the filling squeezed in usually which makes it fun! The s'mores one was so pretty with a huge marshmallow and chocolate drizzles. There was also a bar table of seating that could maybe seat 10 so it was nice to be able to sit and enjoy. The hot chocolate and other items also looked really good. Recommend for a unique take on this Italian donut and for a fun but quick snack.

I came here to get the bombolonis I kept seeing online. I was a bit confused on how to order, but you have to go to the window. The small bomboloni with the pipette was not how I received my order. Instead I received three bombolonis in a cardboard box and the Nutella sauce for dipping. Overall, they were tasty, especially when warm, but it didn't live up to my expectations. If you are looking for that dessert you saw online, you're not going to find it here currently.

I was here tonight and I ordered half dozen of donuts with only vanilla flavor and the cashier told me they only can give 2 vanilla flavors and for the rest of the vanilla flavor it’s an extra charge and i was like ok no problem, he charged me and i even tipped him. I drove 30 minutes to get there for these donuts And when i opened the box of donuts they were cold as stone god knows how old they been and on top of that i only got one vanilla flavor even though they charged me extra for each vanilla flavor. So disappointed in this place and service. Ill never be back here again!!!

Cute little place for dessert. A friend's sweet tooth craving led us here. Quick service. We got the gelatos, berry mango sorbet was a bit sour, cookies and cream along with hazelnut stracciatella was fine.

Bombobar's has the most authentic tasting Italian Gelato I've tasted in quite a while. My dog 🐕 and I just finished hiking through the West Loop farmer's 🚜 market nearby and needed some shade, water and Gelato. Clearly they know their gelato...blows away the competition and I'm extremely picky with ice cream 🍦 and Gelato. Just order some at the window, take a seat outside and enjoy their throbbing dance music 🎶 that streams non stop.

The guy who took my order was really nice, but the cookie monster Gelato was just okay. The Gelato itself was good, but the cookie dough in it tasted like it was from a tube. Cute place for overpriced ice cream.
