I
just
got
off
the
phone
with
Chris
about
an
awkward
situation:
I
have
been
with
the
gym
for
years
but
have
recently
experienced
financial
hardship
and
needed
to
reevaluate
my
budget.
It
was
a
hard
conversation
to
initiate
for
me,
because
I
LOVE
this
gym.
The
classes
are
amazing,
and
I
typically
take
2-4
classes
a
week.
Chris
understood
my
situation,
saw
from
my
membership
profile
that
I
frequent
the
gym
a
lot
and
have
been
a
member
for
a
long
time,
and
offered
to
give
me
this
month
free.
I
cannot
tell
you
how
kind
and
generous
that
was!!!
I’m
having
to
cut
back
on
a
lot
of
things,
and
the
thought
of
cutting
back
on
this
gym
was
really
bringing
me
down.
Chris
said
that
he
saw
that
I
go
to
a
lot
of
classes,
and
the
last
thing
he
wanted
was
for
me
to
lose
my
exercise
routine.
This
small
business
is
taking
a
hit
for
me,
and
I’m
really
humbled
by
their
act
of
generosity.
While
it’s
embarrassing
to
publicly
write
about
my
unexpected
financial
hardship,
I
feel
it’s
important
to
share
that
this
gym
is
run
by
people
with
heart.
They
really
care
about
their
members.
And
Chris
is
smart!
His
kindness
will
absolutely
keep
me
loyal
to
this
gym,
and
I
hope
my
new
budget
can
still
maintain
my
membership.
By
giving
me
a
month
to
figure
things
out,
Chris
is
helping
me
stay
committed
to
this
gym
and
my
well-being.
He
ended
the
call
with
"I'll
give
you
this
month
free,
so
promise
me
you
will
still
come
to
class!"
