The staff, Camille, was extremely attentive, kind, and professional. Good help is so hard to find these days so when we go out to eat and pay for a dining experience, Red House Pizza, nailed it in all fronts. Food quality, portions, and prices were perfectly aligned !!! I had the Mediterranean pizza with the traditional crust and it was out of this world!!!

The crust is awesome! I'm not even a crust person. Loved the spice level of the Calliente pizza. Wouldn't be spicy enough for some people but would be too spicy for those folks that are definitely not spicy lovers. The wait was a bit but they made up for it by checking up on us and seeing if we needed anything else while we waited. The Alabama pizza was pretty interesting and loved the pulled pork on it. They are dog friendly so that's really cool. The music was so funny but happy sounding. Like some 90's pop music. Today was millennial day or something. (My partner and I are early 90's kids) Overall, I would come again. The wait was worth it for me. Oh yeah and while some restaurants have no handicap ramps, this one had one. It was nice considering that I was using my Walker. (disabled millennial veteran-not old. Lol)

The customer service was one of the best I've experienced, the one of my order wasn't to my taste and they offered a variety of things to better the experience. They offered salt and extra sauces. It is also accessible, there's a ramp with beautiful cute plants along the hall to the place, and overall the food is freshly made and delicious.

I recently visited Red House Pizza, intrigued by their vegan menu offerings. While my overall experience was positive, there were aspects that left me with mixed feelings. Firstly, let's talk about the setting and service. Finding parking near Red House Pizza was a bit of a challenge, which can be a slight inconvenience. However, once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the service. The staff were efficient and friendly, ensuring that our orders were taken and served promptly. Now, onto the main event: the pizza. As someone who appreciates good vegan pizza, my expectations were high, especially with the rising standards in vegan cuisine. Unfortunately, the vegan pizza at Red House Pizza didn't quite hit the mark for me. The crust was a little on the mushy side, and overall, the pizza lacked the robust flavor and texture I've experienced at other places, like Donna Jean. Their vegan pizza options seem to have set a high bar that Red House Pizza couldn't quite match. That being said, Red House Pizza still has its merits. It's a great spot for groups with diverse dietary preferences. The menu caters well to both vegan and non-vegan customers, making it a convenient choice for gatherings where everyone's tastes need to be considered. In conclusion, while I personally might not return for the vegan pizza, I wouldn't discourage others from trying Red House Pizza. It's a good establishment with fast service and a friendly atmosphere, suitable for groups with mixed dietary needs. However, for vegan customers seeking exceptional vegan pizza, there might be better specialized options out there.

Looking for a new, fun pizza place to try, I ordered delivery from Red House and it was delicious! The menu is quite different than your normal pizza joint, with delicious flavor combos like garlic white sauce with chicken and potatoes, or a creamy coconut peanut sauce with chicken, broccoli, pineapple and carrots. AND they even have a VEGAN menu featuring vegan pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, starters, and salads. My boyfriend and I ordered the New Zealand pizza (BBQ sauce), La Blanca pizza (garlic white sauce), the Goodness Salad, and Pigs in the Hood appetizer. And the leftovers held up great for cold pizza the next day (yes, we like cold pizza for breakfast)!

Just found this place looking for somewhere with a legitimate vegan menu and this place has it all. We got vegan cheesy garlic bread, vegan Mac and cheese, and the vegan trolly barn pizza and added veg chicken to it. From the intimate seating areas, to the fast and kind service we received, I recommend this place to anyone, vegan and non vegan! Will definitely be back for their deals on certain days. The workers we met were super kind and happy to have us!

We had their whole wheat pizza and it was the best whole wheat pizza I've ever had! We had a large group and ate in a secluded and cozy back patio garden area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

My daughter has Celiac Disease so gluten-free is always a challenge when on vacation. This place nailed it. My daughter only has one other gluten-free pizza she has ever liked better. That was in a different state. The staff was awesome, beer and wine were good. House salad was awesome as were the regular pizzas.

Visiting a friend in San Diego and was in the mood for pizza. Found Red House Pizza walking distance away and decided to check their menu. Upon looking at their very extensive menu with many vegan options, we decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed! We tried both vegan and regular and were pleasantly surprised by both. The pizza was fresh and delicious. Their beer garden and out door seating was cute and comfortable with the nice weather. The service was fantastic. I recommended them to a friend and they ended up trying them the same night. Would recommend to all vegans and non-vegans alike!

Vegan pizza was decent. I got the Landis pizza and the best part of its flavor was the baked onions on top. I also hate giving bad reviews but the server forgot to exclude certain toppings I didn't ask for, plus a hair was IN the pizza (between the toppings), and service was overall lacking a bit. I understand these are minor mistakes so that's why 3 stars. It's still pretty good vegan food, and my bf loves the regular pizza so I know that's great too!

Superb neighborhood pizza chapel with worship-worthy pies. Right on charming University Heights' main street (Park Blvd), Red House rules with modern takes on classic combinations (that's fresh, roasted garlic in the pic) topping a thin, chewy crust with just the right amount of char. Funky design with a small, hidden patio in back, you're going to love sitting outside with cold beer on tap or a inexpensive glass of quality wine. Make sure you check the specials that evening. Some nights you can save a bundle... Dog friendly too!

The ambiance of this place is so cool, like a little alleyway with planters and bright colors. They have indoor dining space too. The menu here offers so many options from traditional pizza and Cali-style pizza. They also really are able to accommodate dietary restrictions like gluten free and vegan options already on their menus. The pizza is thin crust but packed with fresh flavors. We totally recommend this place!!

Got the Lincoln 14” and garlic bread. The pizza is DELICIOUS, but you’ll have to have a lot of patience. My pick-up order took 80 minutes. It was ready 25 min AFTER the expressed time that it would be ready for take out. That’s right, I waited 25 min after arriving at the restaurant. Plus, there’s a lack of parking, and what there is is paid-only. Now, again, one of the best tasting pizzas and garlic breads I’ve had in SD, but not worth the wait, and the pizza wasn’t even cut thoroughly for me to stuff my face with it on the way home. Had to wait, again, to use a knife and cut it properly. From what I could tell, the ambiance looked stellar and they have a cool alleyway filled with tables for dining- it reminded me of NYC in that regard.

Wide variety of pizza from classics to vegan specialties. A popular local spot, but service is still great, quick, and friendly. Even with a few orders ahead of us we got our pie in about 20 minutes.

I really enjoy this place! First off I love supporting local spots! They have been around for a long time! They have a great menu and even can accommodate dietary restrictions like gluten free and vegan options! I like their pizza it’s not a thin crust and not too thick either it’s the Goldilocks of pizza for me... just right! Recently, I ordered the Aedan Pizza and it was perfect! Also the mouse trap appetizer was not bad, but it was a meal in itself!

Got quoted an hour & 15 min order time for a small bbq chicken pizza. Friday night that’s fine. I placed the order early anticipating that. But then I showed up to red house, waited another 15 mins in line to be told they haven’t even start my order. Then was told to wait another 15 mins. Almost 30 mins later my food was finally ready. I asked for a refund because of the ridiculous wait time to be told I could get a vegan brownie for my troubles. I asked for the managers name at which point I was finally given my refund. Over 2 hours after the order was placed. Then I get home finally and sit down to eat and I have a raw on the bottom pizza with what tasted like cardboard on it, whatever is on this pizza it is not chicken ( I literally spit it out). So disappointed with this place in the recent months. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for your dinner.

We are visiting here from Arizona with my daughter and son-in-law who live down the street from Red House Pizza. We had an amazing pizza tonight and we’re thoroughly impressed. I’m thinking you should open one in Scottsdale Arizona, you would make a killing! There’s no competition. People seem to think Pizza Bianco is great, but it is far from it! You guys would be setting the bar. Thanks for the great meal tonight. Sorry about the picture only being half of a pizza. But we forgot to take a photo before we dug in!

Been going here for about 8 years and love it. Amazing neighborhood spot, really great options for gluten free diets and my vegan friends are always really happy too! Idk too many other spots that have so many good veggies to put on pizza, too, so I appreciate that 🤙

I can't believe how good this place is, and how many options I had! I have a gluten and cow dairy allergy, and they had an entire vegan menu with a plethora of gluten free options! I got GF vegan cheesy garlic bread, a GF vegan pizza with vegan ranch, and a GF vegan brownie with coconut chocolate pudding and coconut whipped cream. My God, I think I died and went to heaven. Literally the only downside was i got eaten alive by mosquitoes sitting on the patio.

tied for best gluten free pizza in San Diego. (Herb & Wood has a better GF pizza dough imo but flavors aren’t as good). the cleveland is the best & i actually prefer the GF over their gluten pizzas. meatless pizzas recommended, the meat tends to dry out

Absolutely love red house. Can’t go wrong. Any pizza is seriously delicious, I love their sauce especially and the crust is delicious I always eat it which is rare because most pizza crusts just suck. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I’ve dined in and gotten takeout, both great. My personal favorite is the Lincoln and I also love the Alabama. Pastas are great and I LOVE their vegan brownie, for non vegans, chocolate lovers and vegans alike do not skip out on this I’m serious it’s light and airy yet the icing or whatever is on top is like mousse, but the chocolate flavor is really rich and it just has great flavors. Lastly, their Firesticks are great!!!!

This is my favorite place to eat in San Diego! I recommend getting the meat balls as an appetizer. They are the best over ever had. I also love the Trex Pizza. It's delicious! It has tons of toppings, smelled amazing, and tasted even better. I have a gluten allergy and I love being able to come here and eat food safely.

We LOVE this pizza place. Definitely one of the best in San Diego! They have a regular menu and vegan menu, both very extensive! If you bring your pups, they will provide a little treat for them. We love the atmosphere, amazing staff and even better food here! You won’t be disappointed!

We ordered take out... 5 large pizzas. The meat eaters inn our group loved the Balboa and T-Rex pizzas, and the Vegans in our group really enjoyed their two pies too. It was busy , the pizzas took about an hour, and it's hard to find a parking spot to pick up your order. But at the end of the night all agreed it was worth the wait and hassle.

Absolutely the best Veggie Sausage pizza in SAN Diego. In a really cool little neighborhood too. Only thing is I'd advise eating at the restaurant or carrying out ,they get quite busy and delivery app wait times can be long depending on the time of day. Also fantasies garlic cheese bread, it's just high quality food.

The pizzas we got were very good, however one of the apps we ordered were not cooked to completion. They messed up the order after already taking and extra 20 min past the time they told me to pick it up so we had to wait even longer. They gave us a couple cookies to make up for the pizza mistake and they were absolutely terrible.

My favorite Indian buffet. Loved how their saag tastes fresh and they have fish curry (so few Red House Pizza offer that!). Hoping to get takeout from here soon to get my fix.

Their Akaroa pizza with the chimichurri sauce and extra picked onions is THEE BEST!!! I've never ordered anything else!!! And their beer selection isn't bad honestly. Wish it was open for dine-in but seriously. This place is all around f*ckin delicious.

Great Gluten free pizza! We don't eat pizza often, but our favorite treat is a GF Lincoln and a wedge salad! The staff is very friendly for how busy they are. The only drawback is that they make such great pizza, everyone wants some! If you get a busy signal, call again in a few minutes, and waits can be up to an hour and a half for pickup. 100% worth the wait, so call ahead!

Been a fan of this pizza spot for 3 years and won’t be back. Apparently ordering a pizza with half vegan cheese is against company policy and isn’t available even via upsell. The food is good but the service is poor. Sprinkling a different type of cheese on one side of a pizza shouldn’t be that difficult.

Vegan Thai: This is culinary magic. How can pizza taste so good without real cheese, or red sauce, or basil, or even an exceptional crust? You just need to believe. The crust does just enough. Somehow, the combination of pickled onion, shredded carrot, tofu, broccoli, jalapeno, and whatever else they do, it doesn't even make sense, but it's heaven. It's a perfectly balanced Thai salad in pizza format. Just trust in this genius pizza chef and try it. (Five stars once they master pizza dough balls and crust. Still some work to do. Also, on the small side for $30 delivered.)

This is such a cute and awesome little gem! A tiny place with about four tables and a bar counter, they specialize in gluten-free pasta and pizzas. My girlfriend has a gluten allergy and was visiting from out of town, and I just happened to stumble upon it on Maps. She was so excited to find a gluten-free pasta restaurant and we had to try it. She absolutely loved her mac & cheese, and I got an amazing personal pizza with sliced potato and gluten-free crust (so she could try it as well). They also had a modest but fun weekly rotating craft beer offering. I will definitely be returning, and I'm positive it will be a favorite of ours when my girlfriend is able to move here

I've been to this place twice and both times I was no deceived. They have a delicious Vegan Pizza made with Vegan Sausage. I had a Kale salad to go with it as an appetizer. There was nothing left on both plates by the end of my stay. Service was great both times. The employees are very friendly. It's definitely worth checking out this fun small place!

The vegan cheese melts and tastes so real. The vegan mac n cheese was more like alfredo penne. It was absolutely delicious. The vegan garlic cheese bread.... is this even vegan? The service was outstanding. The food was affordable. Thankful they followed COVID procedures and allowed people to dine in. I have tried tons of vegan dishes and I used to live in New York City; Red House Pizza takes the place for the BEST of the BEST vegan menu.

How have I not reviewed this place yet?! My favorite vegan pizza place in San Diego! So many options (10+), more than most places, and they serve my fave: buffalo sauce pizza, or "the Utah". I've tried their other pizzas, and all have been delicious, but I keep coming back to this one. I recently tried it with the gluten free crust and enjoyed it (almost) just as much as their traditional. I really like that they have a personal 10" pizza size option, as it's usually enough for 1 or 2 servings and you don't have to deal with a giant box afterward. Often they have longer wait times on some nights, so order in advance. Worth the wait!

Took over 40mins to get my takeout order when they estimated 25mins when I called it in. The pizza was ok — loaded with veggies but the taste of the crust/ sauce are just ok. Also ordered a pasta dish - the pasta was so over cooked it was practically mush and unappetizing. Not going to order from there again... just so many better options out there.

First time eating a vegan pizza, and love the namaste. Bankgok was different, more like a Thai dish on a pizza crust. Animal Lovers was good, but not as good as namaste in my opinion.

Man Zack is the Man! We came to this place over a year ago and he remembered us. Definitely won’t be that long before we come back, but the pizza is also great and if you’re looking for a good chill vibe, check out the patio. Great place for the locals and not to give him too much credit, but Zack made it for us. Great service always brings back the locals. Thanks.

I ordered two vegan pizzas on National Pizza Day through online order. One pizza did not have the ingredients that were listed on the website and I found a hair inside a pizza slice. For the second pizza, I paid extra for vegan chicken and did not receive it. I had previously dined in and had a great experience. However this take out experience was very unpleasant as workers did not follow the instructions that were listed in our order. I hope in the future they can improve their service and pay attention to detail!
