Hotel building and landscape set the stage. Elegant, beautiful and classy. The reception area boasts an expansive, light and airy lobby with bar to side. Staff is incredibly friendly and you get a sense that details matter at Ayres. Our room was very, very clean and spacious layout. They feature refrigerator and microwave as well as high end bathroom amenities. Breakfast is a little "clunky" the layout is challenging with long lines. But the service and food options were delicious. Gym area is not hotel typical. Love the balcony view with treadmill and excellent equipment. Swimming pool was well kept and clean. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. And am already booking our next stay. Last to add is it has a feel of an adult hotel - very few kids and that made for such a nice pool visit - relaxing and plenty of adults enjoying the environment.

My wife and I have stayed at the Ayres Chula Vista on two different occasions and both were perfect! You can't get a better location than this, so much to do around this hotel, almost feels like a movie set how clean it is! Rooms are a great size and always perfectly clean. Air conditioning worked great and we got a great night sleep on the comfortable bed. In Room TV is a good size with plenty of channels. My wife and I love the patio bar, drinks were great price and bartender made our drinks just how we like them. The complimentary breakfast is my favorite part, it's on par with any resturant you'd go to for breakfast! The food is delicious and my wife and I started every day full and happy because of it! From the front desk to the kitchen staff to the housekeeping, all staff provided excellent service! We will definitely be coming back to Ayres Chula Vista and highly recommend it!

The location is far from most of the visiting places in San Diego as it located near the border. But this is the best hotel I have stayed in San Diego with the fair price on this big room (470sqft). All furniture are new and modern design. Color used are comfortable. Staff are nice and friendly. I can say this hotel is worth every buck I pay. Problems I had: no hands on shower head. Not kid friendly shower. The toilet bidet is too wide that I have to hold my kid hands from falling into it. The shower place is big and nice But not cleaned well when I first walked into the room. So many hair in the shower place. The faucet can’t splash water to wash the hair away because of the fixed position. In short I am very satisfied with this hotel. The best hotel at normal price range

This hotel is priced in the same category as a holiday inn or Hampton inn but stands out above these generic hotels due to impeccable cleanliness and what feels like double the square footage of the room and bathroom. We were put in a pet friendly room so our room had hard flooring without carpet. This added further to the feeling of cleanliness. There was not a single pet hair in sight, no chemical smells, and no dingy carpet to be afraid of walking on. The staff were all noticably trained to be very polite, professional, and kind-- standouts were Moses at the front desk and Mariela in the breakfast room. The included breakfast was the usual processed foods and lacking in quality ingredients, but this is totally on par with any hotel in this category, so I never walk into a free hotel breakfast with high expectations. They did add many thoughtful extras like three waffle irons, vegan scrambled eggs, a pancake machine, oatmeal machine. It was super clean, well stocked, and seemed like nothing was running low because Mariela was working so hard to keep up with the stream of customers. She should be promoted. The walls were very thin and I heard a lot of rowdiness and stomping upstairs from what sounded like a frat house boys night out. Overall 10++/10 experience and perfect location to sesame and the zoo.

One of the best hotels i have stayed in US so far. Value for money. Great location with walking access to all shops and restaurants. Large parking lot which also has 5 to 6 EV chargers. Good quality continental breakfast in the morning - pan cakes, waffles, fruits, scrambled eggs & potato. Room and toiletries are very good. Only thing we thought missing is the TV does not support youtube or any streaming apps. Great staff, very helpful.

I have stayed at a few Ayres Hotel locations (i.e., Ontario, Corona, Orange, etc.) in the past and, for a recent event, I stayed at the Ayres Hotel San Diego South - Chula Vista location. I prefer staying at Ayres because the service is usually great (I’ve frequented the location in Orange), and the service at the Ayres Hotel San Diego South - Chula Vista location is no exception. From booking the reservation online, to check in, and to check out - and everything in between - it was easy and seamless. Nearing the reservation date, I received a reminder about my bookings with a friendly email from the hotel manager asking if any accommodations are needed (we didn’t need one); It was a nice touch. Before we arrived, we called and spoke to a gentleman (Moises) at the front desk requesting our rooms be booked close together, if possible, and that we were coming in later than check-in due to traffic. He was great and accommodating and rooms were near each other on the same floor. We checked in with Luna and she was great! Genuinely friendly and such a pleasant person to speak to. I booked a 2 rooms and my sister booked 1 room for her family during our stay last weekend. We loved how spacious the rooms were compared to the other Ayres. It was also very clean. We enjoyed the amenities including the free parking, the breakfast bar, clean showers, the bar/lobby area, the nearby shops and eateries, and the wonderful staff. I wouldn’t mind coming back to stay just to check out the area and other offerings. Thanks, Ayres, for making our stay so pleasant.

Room was clean and well appointed. Very nice hotel overall. We were given a room close to the lobby, where there is a bar with loud patrons. This should be the last room option in my opinion. It was way too loud, hearing the people from the bar. We were in room 123

The front desk ladies and gentlemen were so professional, courteous and friendly...they made you feel welcome. The rooms were clean, and elegant. They also have a breakfast buffet from 6-9 am that was outstanding! I can't say enough about the high quality and service this hotel provides. Not to mention the beautiful pool and jacuzzi.

My husband's and mines stay was amazing! The beds were super comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. There are so many stores and eateries within walking distance and there was a dog park just down the road that was an easy walk. We brought along our 90lbs Alaskan Malamute/German Shepperd mix and the room they put us in was huge and spacious enough for two adults, our extra large dog, luggage, and her bed. The staff at the front were so kind and helpful. We forgot our dog bowls at home and they were gracious enough for find us two bowls that we could use. We can't thank the staff enough for providing those for us! The grounds and building are beautiful and very well maintained. An additional plus is their Tesla destination chargers so that we could charge our car while we slept. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Stayed here since the place wasn't that far from the water park. Location - This area is a newer modern area with a lot of shopping and restaurants near by. Staff - Everything was great until I decided to grab a drink at the pool bar and the bartender didn't make that good of a old fashioned and seem bothered I caught him a few minutes before closing. Parking - Decent size lot but hard to find parking right in front. Rooms - Clean, modern, good size and overall very satisfied. Grounds - Chill outside patio with pool bar, lounging area and a ok pool. Complimentary Breakfast - Very Very Basic with limited options. Overall place wasn't bad and would consider staying here again and would recommend it. Gym - Has to be one of the better gyms I have experienced with a good size, newer machines, amazing views, and clean. Pricing - Not too bad for what they have to offer.

Great hotel! Great pillows and a comfy bed. Great water pressure and plenty of parking. Big pool and hot tub. Great customer service rep’s at the counter. If you are staying in south San Diego, there is no other place you need to stay! This place also has a huge outdoor patio with a patio bar! They even have a bank of chargers for electric cars. Loved my stay here.

If you guys are in the area, this hotel cannot be beat! Prime location! You got every store you can possibly need within a few miles from the hotel. I would without a doubt recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Chula Vista. Staff is great, hotel is clean and looks beautiful. You really can't ask for more.

Had a wonderful one night stay at Ayres in Chula Vista. Very clean and an amazing staff. Had breakfast with one of the owners Bruce was very concerned about my stay. It’s nice to see that kind of attention to detail. They serve a terrific breakfast with cooked to order omelets. I was there for the Vetsaid concert at the amphitheater. The location was very convenient. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. I didn’t have a chance to have anything from the bar since it is closed on Sunday. They do have beverages and snacks for sale in the lobby. If you’re in the Chula Vista area look no further than Ayres.

Rooms are large. Bed was comfy. The hotel is kept clean and the breakfast was really good. It’s right across from a mini shopping area. Few Restaurants within walking distance. Only thing I didn’t like was that it’s kinda out of the way like way back there in Chula Vista.

Our stay at Ayer’s hotel was awesome! The staff was very friendly, our room was very spacious and really clean. The different breakfast options through out the weeks was great. A very nice location surrounded by lots of stores and restaurants. Worth the price. We will definitely be going back.

The hotel is very clean with friendly professional staff ! My wife and I were going on a Disney Cruise but wanted to stay outside of SD. This hotel was perfect. Location was great. Ross and other discounted stores were in the same shopping square along with Jamba Juice, Starbucks, McDonalds and more. Otay Ranch Town Center (Shopping mall) is located 2 mins away. Plenty of big name restaurants and retail stores. We got a big spacious room with a pool/Jacuzzi view. Room had a small fridge and microwave. Full size body mirror. Multiple outlets, usb charge and 1 desk lamp with European outlet. Hotel stay includes continental breakfast. The pancake mix had to be buttermilk and perfectly mixed because the waffles were so good ! Waffle makers in different sizes were available. Sugar Free syrup was available. Washer and dryer are on the same floor as the gym. This gym includes 1 peloton with a great view. This hotel is located across from the fire station. We were there on a weekend and a truck only went out once. Bilingual staff (Spanish/English) Working elevators Spacious breakfast area Bar in the lobby Costco gas - 10 mins away

This was a surprisingly great hotel. We only stayed the night, but the rooms were clean and comfy and they have a VERY generous continental breakfast with omelette made to order, waffles, pancakes, and more.

We love this place is far from downtown but for us is close from my family and we can get together all the time. Is very clean they offer breakfast, and they have a pool and hot tub. Is near to the Border and sesame street.

The breakfast is great, taco Tuesday is a must. The rooms are clean and spacious. Great views from the rooms. Front desk is friendly and accommodating. Large jacuzzi and friendly bar. Stayed for a week and enjoyed every min of it.

Hotel rooms are pretty clean. This was the 2nd time we stayed here. The bathroom fixtures could probably use some updating. Last time my daughter got burned from the hot water as the handle to the bath would turn under the handles weight even if you set it in position. She's only 6, so this was a bit of concern for us. Breakfast was pretty decent. But you'd do better at the Denny's down the street. The Denny's down the street was extremely clean and service was stellar. Hotel was very close to some convenient shops. Parking was plentiful as well.

Outstanding hotel and guest services. Delicious breakfast and great pool/spa. Best hotel I’ve been to and prices were completely worth everything you receive here. There located in a area been freshly constructed, all the stores and restaurants are too quality. Overall 11/10 definitely staying here next time in the area.

Quite a nice hotel, but a bit on the pricey side. We stayed here to attend a concert nearby. The cost was a little higher than I'd normally like to pay, but it was close and looked clean and upscale. We were impressed with everything. They had multiple chargers for electric vehicles. There are a lot of dining and entertainment options nearby. It was very quiet, and we slept restfully. The only disappointment was the hot water went out and we couldn't take a shower. But they compensated us for our inconvenience.

The quality and appearance of the rooms and hotel met my expectation ( FYI: this hotel does not have streaming capabilities for television). The only problem that I had while here was that one of the cleaning ladies stole my candle out of the hotel room. Luckily, the manager there is a very professional, friendly, and understanding woman. She bought me a new candle. Lastly, I will just add that as with any hotel, if you have anything of value, do not leave them sitting out in the hotel room.

Great view from the window, also closed to the outlet malls near the hotel. Roomy space to conduct meeting and presentation on the 4th floor executive conference room. Friendly staff to assist on your needs. Close to airport for quicker departure or arrival.. also come visit jollibee for great tasting chicken great for delivery or pick up.

This Hotel is one of the best I have ever been in and I have some to compare. Three days equaled a 10 day vacation in the Tropics. Just everything and so clean! Go here for the Staycation of a lifetime, The Ayers Hotel Blessed My Life!

Came here for my granddaughter's late birthday to go to Sesame Street. The elevator has a Sesame Street theme and it is cute but that's all so it's not a childhood themed hotel for those without childhood, however, it is a family-friendly environment. There is a continental breakfast and pool. There is also a bar area for adult liberation. The rooms were cleaned and maintained housekeeping cleaned the rooms daily. We enjoyed out stay.

This hotel is located in a new area, which I believe is called Eastlake. The hotel is very clean, in a great location, easy parking, and nice-sized rooms. The free breakfast was also impressive. Very close to the North Island Credit Union Amphitheater. Will be staying here again if in the area.

Very nice hotel, clean modern rooms, and very roomy. large breakfast areas and commons. One thing I don’t care for, room lights are all in the ceiling recessed and the only switch is in the bathroom hall. The room really needs a free standing light. All hotels have a designer flaw and this one is it.

Comfy bed, clean rooms, complimentary full breakfast not continental that alone can save you with a family and kids. Relaxing patio setting and pool. Definitely 5 star hotel…One thing I noticed is the walls may not have good insulation as I heard peoples muffled voices and babies crying. But overall It’s a great place!

For our activity, location was awesome. Close to food and shopping. Less than a half hour to get down to Balboa Park. Rooms were spacious, clean, and we'll appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location allowed for walkable days. Close to tollway, for easy access, but not loud or noisy

Very nice indoor hotel! Rooms are spacious, nice gym & shopping centers are walking distance. It also came with delicious free breakfast . Eggs potatoes sausage pancakes & waffles!! Enjoyed our 3 day stayed very much

The hotel was great. Room was very clean! I love the long pool hours, perfect for night swimming in a nicely heated. The breakfast was also very good. We were there for a concert that was canceled and ended up staying an extra day because we liked the hotel. If and when the concert gets rescheduled, it would be great if the hotel did some kind of "return" discount. I would definitely rebook with them again if they did. My only complaint is that check out time is at 12 but while loading up the car to leave, the key card was disabled at 11:45 so we didn't get to go back to the room and do a final check to see if we forgot something. That was disappointing!
