Small museum packed with local history and artifacts. Our docent Tracy Farmer was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We arrive at 4:30pm, shortly before closing, but went the extra mile to let us visit. Well worth the stop.

I spent the night here in my RV through Harvest Hosts and unfortunately didn’t have time to stop inside but it looks fascinating! Friendly people running the museum and it’s in a very peaceful spot plus entry is free!

We had an awesome time at the annual Goodnight Chuck Wagon Cook Off in Clarendon Texas. Family fun at its finest. Each year third Saturday of September get your meal tickets reserved as the sell out each year. Ticket sales start first of September each year.

This is a great place to stop. Fantastic arrow Head collection. Packed with local artifacts and history. Personal tour guide, that clearly is passionate about her job. I would definitely stop in again!

Very interesting museum. An important part of our Panhandle history. We attended the Chuck Wagon Cook Off. It was a lot of fun and great food.

I got stranded in Clarendon, TX on August 15, 2013. I was driving when the engine blew. Being in such a small remote town, I was naturally very nervous until my wife came down to pick me up. We spent a second night, and decided to explore, and came upon the museum. We were actually going to pass it up when Cathy, the tour guide, chased us down and said, "Did y'all want to see the museum?" We followed her back and I must say that it was an extremely fascinating experience, and an amazing piece of history. Even if simply passing through Clarendon on the way to somewhere else, if you are a history buff, or just need a break from the road, the Saint's Roost Museum is definitely worth the time. Cathy made us feel more than welcome, which we appreciated very much.

👍👍 Living in NOVA for over 20 years, this remains my favorite place to drive. The "Second Overlook" part was just Googles selected location. I love the entire drive - even through rush hour traffic (and that's saying a LOT). As you drive down the parkway, you are surrounded by luscious green trees a...
