I'd call this a hidden gem. Don't get fooled by the outside, as it's an old building. It's as with humans, it's the inside that matters 😜. That said, it's a really enjoyable place, with a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Polite and mild mannered staff. I changed my mind after I had ordered something and the servers agreed to change my order without any issues. Food was excellent. I had beef goulash which is basically a stew of meat and vegetables with various condiments. It was really tasty. The location is premium. You're literally in the heart of the city. You're within walking distance to landmarks, bars, pubs, other restaurants, you name it. All in all, it's a yes from me and I'll definitely dine in here again.

Our waitres Sandu (or Sadu sorry) is the best experience in Romanua- for me and my wife. Very kind and quick as can be. And very helpfull! Thank you! And the meal and drinks are like heaven!!

Prices were high for the quality. I ordered a burger but it was pretty bland... at least it came with fries, ketchup, mayo and not one, but two onion rings! Imagine that! The only thing alright about it was that they said it might take a while to be made, but instead we were served after 10 mins or so.

Great food, great location. We were searching for a more traditional romanian soup as we could only find cream soups on the other restaurants from the center. We got the "radauteana soup" which was great. Then we finished with the traditional "papanași", an explosion of taste and delight. I was also surprised by the nice whisky selection, as they had Laphroaig Quarter Cask and that is not usually found in non-profile places. Really nice experience.

So happy and pleased by the quality of the food and its taste. We ordered traditional papanași cu gem și smântână, piept de rață cu varză călită and tripe soup. It was a culinary orgasm. So pleased with the service and the atmosphere. There is music inside and the waiters are very polite. Can't say anything bad about the restaurant. I recommend the tripe soup, it's gonna be the best you have ever tasted.

One of the best traditional romanian restaurants in Cluj-Napoca and around the county. Great taste, with the food having various defined textures, savoury portions, complemented by large, intensely delicious drinks and affordable prices, as we ordered 3 portions of food with extra side dishes and 3 drinks and came up to 198 ron (~40 euros/45 dollars) ! Would highly recommend to visit anytime of the year, as its quality is consistent, soul-food like!

Everything about this restaurant is great. The food I ordered was very tasty. The service was more than great. If you want to try traditional Romanian food, then this is the place for you. The cabbage rolls were delicious. The dessert Papanași was also very good. The restaurant also offers a great atmosphere. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

We had a really good time at Casa Veche. Diana was a great host for us. They had some very good traditional food, a good variety of beers. Really recommend this place.

The whole process took a long time. The food arrived at different times, mine was already quite cold but tasted good. Splitting the bill wasn't really possible. The waiter was really friendly but wasn't ststisfied with the tip and went after us. Just add a service fee, if you expect a tip.

Nice location in the old city center, with lots of outdoor seating. The waiters are very efficient. The food was really good, boyfriend and I really wanted some good ciorbă, so we both got the Ciorbă Rădăuțeană which was delicious. Had plenty of chicken and was well seasoned. It had lots of sour cream, which might put off some people. The Pasta Carbonara could have been a little bit less saucy, but it was delicious. They make it with cream, not the traditional way (some might find that upsetting). The jasmine rice with caramelized chicken is basically fried rice with teriyaki chicken. The sauce was a bit too sweet, I couldn't finish it because of that. Got some Ginger Lemonade, which was a bit too gingery than what I was used to. Overall nice location, couls tweak a few recipes and the prices were OK for the area.

Been few years since I been to this place. Our server Andras was super efficient and polite. Orders taken promptly and food was out fast and super tasty. Thank you for giving us amazing service

I had the schnitzel , and I must say it was very good. The portion is very large and well balanced and for the money paid it was well worth it! I definitely recommend trying this place. Also the Nenea Iancu unfiltered beer served in the frosted glasses is a plus. Service was brilliant!

Had a great meal here - very happy! We each had a different style of their cabbage rolls, which were delicious and very filling. The prices overall were very reasonable. Their outdoor seating looks great for warmer weather too.

We had a lovely lunch time meal here , they have lots of traditional Romanian meals to choose from we chose the Romanian Cabbage Rolls (Sarmale) and my wife had the goulash with dumplings both meals were excellent and a good price The service was great even though quite busy he still managed very well we where served quickly and efficiently We would definitely return if we visited again to try some other meals on offer

This place is amazing! We got lunch and dinner later on the day! The food is delicious and the menu very diverse, with breakfast lunch and dinner. The waitresses are very nice and helpful! This place is located in a authentic downtown area of City of Cluj and you can do shopping next door or listening live music from local people! Also the prices are great! What can I say? Everything was top. I took a goulash with dumplings, absolutely a delight. Red Wine was super. The waitress was kind and fast, the atmosphere is relaxing and you will feel highly at ease as they can make you feel like that. I would really recommend this place for good!

The place is very warm and welcoming, the staff is really kind and quick, the cuisine is traditional and the dishes are of quality, the mixed grill for two people is excellent, I also found the wines and beers excellent and the prices are fair and honest . I was served by Daniel who speaks Italian and English very well, a true professional who immediately makes you feel at ease. It's a place I highly recommend!

We had a lovely meal of soup and Cluj cabbage, with some tasty beer and wine. We sat outside on a late Octobet evening and it was all just wonderful!

Ciorba du burta here was divine. A simple soup but done well.

Yesterday we ordered bruschetta with tomato and basil, 2 cocktails, beer. And today we ordered "papanasi" and Chestnut purée with whipped cream. Everything was delicious. The place is very welcoming, good music. There was a waiter - girl with long- blonde hair, cute eyeliner. We forgot to ask her name. Please give her a raise. She was very friendly.

Very good meal, quick cooked and immediately served. Very nice and kind waitress and other personal staff. Lot of place for groups but also for individuals. Prices are very acceptable. For example the chicken soup was very tasteful with lot of meat and vegetables and home-made noodles but it was a bigger portion than I know from other reataurants and so there was also lot of liquid soup inside. Real five stars!

great location and the food was really nice. i had the beef burger and a traditional bean soup and really liked it. the beer selection is also quite varied. i really wanted to try the tripe soup but unfortunately by the time I arrived it was finished. until next time!

It was an amazing experience. The food is to die for. I had a Ciolan cu fasole, my wife had Tochitura cu mamaliga and our kids shared a pasta. The service is great from the moment you walk in. Our server Sandu gave us outstanding attention. Sandu did everything to make us feel extremely comfortable and he paid special attention to our two boys and made them feel important and taken care of. We will definitely be going back and we definitely recommend Casa Veche!

Cosy atmosphere and lovely place. The staff does not follow covid safety regulations and do not check the vaccionation status of clients. They are not very friendly either. Food is fine. Coffee is not the best, just regular.

Amazing food and service. We had varza alla Cluj ( local cabbage recipe with mince meat) with some fantastic red wine and soups: all just delicious! And the service was impeccable, we were served by one of the waiters called Robert who is attentive and professional: carefully listening and able to recommend based on your preferences. We felt like we ate at a 5 starts hotel and more :) Definitely recommend Casa Veche in the lovely Old Town.

Tasty food and incredible service. Sandu, our waiter offered a 5 star service and went above and beyond to make sure everything was all right. Food was amazing, but be cautious with the chillier, they are a bit misleading and turned out to be extremely spicy 🥵

I've eaten there a few times with mom while in Cluj and every time the food was absolutely delicious and staff is amazing,and I love the atmosphere in there and the decor.

The menu was surprisingly diverse. From the outside it feels like a traditional restaurant but the menu has more than just that. The food is good, the taste is a little faded, as in cooked to match all tastes, not a lot of spices, but cooked well.

Lovely place, excellent location in the most attractive part of Cluj, great foot, very good wines, attentive and kind staff. Second visit already, we'll come back for sure
