Very good atmosphere, very calm and with relaxing music. If the weather is great you should really go outside on the terrace where there are some fountains as well. Most of the times the waiters are very nice to you, even discussing and giving recommandations. Great place, eat here every time I am around at lunch time !

Best chinese food in town! We love chicken with bamboo and rice. The spring veggie rolls are also great. But there are many more ingredients and plates to experience. We take out our food, but we will try to dine there in the future. The kids want to try dining at the terrace. They love to experience lately.

Very good chinese restaurant in Cluj-Napoca. I appreciate a lot that this restaurant has a private car park for the customers!! All the dishes were amazing and especially the soup!!!! I was very well attended by the waiter and I spent a good times while I was enjoying this delicious food.

Great food, generous portions, but above all excellent service, we dined twice in a 2 week period, once with a large group with kids, and the second time with a smaller party. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the "wood ears" mushrooms to the noodles, the ginger lemonade, the desserts!! One of our waiters, Ionut, very nice, very accommodating, brought plenty of ice and extra plates for sharing.. he deserves a raise!!! Hats down, great experience, highly recommend!

Great to hit your Asian food craving but not exactly authentic flavors

I really enjoyed the food at this place. The food was very delicious and filling. The waiter, I think his name was Ionut if I am not mistaken, was very friendly and helpful. I recommend it 🍜

Craving Chinese food brought me to Restaurant Shanghai, a restaurant just south of the old part of the city that's been open for a few decades. Walking in, the space is beautifully-decorated and they even a small kids play area. I ordered takeout and within 15 minutes and 96 lei later, I was on my way. I ordered their version of orange chicken. It's not at all like what I am used to in the U.S.A. (or even China), but it was tasty. The chicken breast is breaded and there are actual orange slices in it. It comes with rice. For dessert, I got the black sesame dumplings. They came swimming in hot water. They are medium-sized balls filled with sugar and black sesame paste.

Loved the food, very well mannered waiters and elegant atmosphere. I definetly recommend!🤗 Would come back anytime. Shanghai chicken with sweet chilli is a must try. They have a delicious dessert also.

If you want Chinese food in Romania, definitely worth going here! So glad we finally decided to try this place, the portions are large, freshly cooked, and the exotic flavor of the vegetables and rice noodles was so good! The spring rolls were so good that my elderly father in law (who is not generally accustomed to non-traditional European food and flavors) ate them all and asked for more :)

Love this restaurant 🥰 My first visit to Shanghai Restaurant was back in 2002 and since then I return with pleasure each time. Thank you for the nice atmosphere and tasty food.

Atmosphere was good. Their service was excellent. The food was not so good. We ordered 3 dishes. All were spiced by soy sauce. They were very salty to me. If anyone loves salty food, I recommend this place . Meats were little bit tough. Wanton soup was the worst

Had lunch the other day at Shanghai. I opted to go vegan this time to test them out. It said vegetarian, but I guess it was vegan as I had the 'three types of veggies with chili sauce' . Tried to bargain for rice noodles instead of the big bowl of rice next to it but without succes. So probably about 80% of the rice went back to the kitchen/dumpsters. Way too much rice 🤣. For starters we had the veggy spring rolls and they were really good and fresh. All in all 4/5. About 8-9€ / dish.

The place feels like a Chinese Embassy,with all decoration and setup teleporting you to there part of the world. Food looks good , taste could be a bit more authentic , using more traditional spices would enhance the flavour and could help I believe. Couldn't see any tofu specialities choices in the menu or similar traditional dishes. We tried the fried rice with chicken, the pork tounge cucumber salad and the Shanghai Chicken. Around 4 parking spots , just have to park rear ended first and quite close to the curve so anyone can pass by in or out.

Good food, big portions , but didn't have everything on the menu. Great service, beautiful atmosphere. We had a lovely time.

Realy nice ambiance, attending and tremendously helpful staff, the place is located next to a very busy road but even sitting outside you can relax and enjoy your meal on their beautiful terrace, additionally they have a few parking spots on site. Personally i would highly recommend it, if you fancy Chinese food and looking for outside seating

From my point of view this is a very very good restaurant with Chinese specific. They serve incredible tasty food and have very highly trained staff in the art of cuisine and serving.

Nice restaurant with a very diverse menu. The food is good. The mixed fruit dessert (caramelized apple, banana and ananas) is huge and very tasty. Definitely recommended.
