Super interesting place. Never seen anything like it. Loved the potters house and the different types of fencing and doors. Really like the two little churches. If you go you must go inside the main one in the middle part and check out the paintings inside. Very captivating.

Amazing place that offers the possibility to relax in a really nice and green scenery relatively close to the heart of the city. You can learn a lot about the past and the way people lived in rural areas some centuries ago. It’s also a great place for a Sunday walk. You have plenty of space to explore and you can rest on one of the many benches from the park. The only problem is getting there, unless you have a car, it can be pretty challenging to get to the park

Beautiful and well maintained open air museum. It's like stepping into another century. A peaceful nature oasis in the city. Employees were very friendly and passionate about the place. Definitely recommend!

Very interesting outdoor museum with loads of old buildings and equipment to check out. As we know one of the staff we got a personally guided tour of the premises. Thank you, Silvestru 👍

Open air museum presenting rural life: houses and yards from different counties of Transylvania, wooden church, small yard with horses. Good place to spend time with the entire family. A place for learning about traditions and relaxing in nature. Close to Hoia-Baciu forest. Clean air. Wear comfortable shoes.

This is a great place to learn about Romanian culture and life in the traditional village in a pleasant way, by strolling in the museum park. If you are like me, you will remember dearly the childhood years spent at the grandparents house. It is also a great opportunity for the children to know more about the Romanian history and traditions as you can find grape or sunflower seed presses, looms, fountains, wooden churches. There are even animals like donkeys.

This place is amazing and for an admittance fee of 10 RON it is a bargain! The only aspect I did not like is that not all the houses were open for visiting.

the buildings are cool but most are closed and crumbling with little to no information about them. generally neglected feel to the place. as a person who professionally restores historic buildings i think its nothing short of sacrilege that these buildings have been moved from their original location. especially the churches. the people who did this should hang their heads in shame. edit: it may have been acceptable for some of the buildings to have been moved here if it was at least educational but with no info on ANY of the buildings this is nothing more than a tourist attraction for people to lazy to explore the countryside

One of the best village museums I've seen so far! It's well kept and looked after, the grass is short so you may wonder wherever you wish and the keepers there are very nice and welcoming. A great experience overall! (Just mind the schedule as they do not admit anyone after the clock strikes 5 PM 🤭)

Nice spring walk in an open air etnografic museum, with old houses from different regions of the area.

It's a very nice place! All the houses are gorgeous and well maintained. A big plus is the fact that it's pet friendly! You can have a nice walk in the shade and catch a glimpse of our history!

Interesting area with lots of fabricated houses and work houses to show traditional Romanian village life over history. It's cool to see, takes about two hours, and lots of variety but it's really annoying to barely be able to go into anything despite them being made up for internal viewing. They should just open them all. Price is reasonable

It is a very interesting place if you are interested in some history. Located in an apple orchard which magnifies the experience. There were just 4 things that bothered me: 1. Not enough info at every spot 2. You cannot enter the houses to get the real feel. After complaining about it while exiting they did let me into the main church which was an amazing place if you're interested in the Christian history. 3. The things that do have some info are in Romanian no English... 4. The lack of animals that might have enhanced the feel of the way they used to live" All that needing said still a place highly recommended! We paid 10 lei each as admission fee. Went there with bolt.

A nice way to spend a couple of hours exploring. The guy in the park unlocking different buildings was funny - we thought he was coming to lock up so walked away but he brought us back to show us he was unlocking the house so we could look inside! Plenty of grass and space for kids to play too. We got an Uber there and back from Cluj old town.

Great place to visit. Unfortunately not a lot of houses were open to the public. It'd be great to be able to see inside. Also, some refreshments would be good too, even if it is via vending machines.

Nice, well maintained place. The houses speak alot about our Romanian ancestors, their way of life, preoccupacions and even outside influences. The place is great to hindisght how far we've come as a nation and how many hurdles we still have to overcome. The place has toilets and playground(s) for children. The houses can be visited inside and out, their description and origin villages are written on placcards in both Romanian and English. I highly advise (foreigners especially) a guided tour from the entrance. Tours available in English, French, Romanian , maybe other languages as well, as the houses have background stories which are worth the time. A minor minus: among the houses, there are also heritage wooden oil and grape presses. It would've been interesting to have showcases of them in use rather than have them just as static expo

Interesting place, but far away from the city center and with poor public transport connection. It would be better if more interiors were available.

An outdoor museum showcasing old houses, churches and other establishments from different rural places of Transylvania. Some of the houses are open and you can check the insides also. Overall a nice experience and a great walk, you'll do a lot of that during this visit.
