Child friendly place. I brought my 4 years old to watch the stars. The stars were presented with such an amazing joy like it was presented for the first time. The children could took a look first and we was helped by the staff to hold our kids correctly when checking the telescope. The place opens at sunset, so the opening times varies. No reservation needed but if the sky is cloudy you should check if the place is open by calling them.

The guides are wonderful and it was always a very nice experience. The kids were particularly excited. You should always call the day before (they are sometimes booked for groups) and the day you are planning your visit( to get a confirmation that the sky will be clear enough that night for a good observation).

A great place to visit on a clear night. Make sure you call ahead and make a reservation. This way you will be guaranteed the access and a guided tour. Very interesting for kids and adults alike.

Definitely worth the ride! And take time to enjoy a beer also!

It should be better known

Good place to visit. You get a feeling of the tremendous distances in our solar system. But this is not the Hubble telescope, so don't expect great image detail and quality.

On fridays you can catch one of the tours with a slideshow of pictures of past notable events captured here and with a view of important viewable stars and planets

Worth dropping by if you're in the area. Went to see the lunar eclipse but I wasn't the only one with that idea and had to wait in line at the telescope.
