It would have been a full on 5 star review if the service personnel wasn't so inattentive. They took forever to come to take the orders, and even though they had separate English menus they weren't able to explain the dishes. The food however was the best I have had during my whole trip here.

This is a restaurant near the square, and it's good to see the street from the second floor. I couldn't choose the menu because it was a package tour, but the food tasted good.

Came here with high expectation as it is a Michelin recommended restaurant. I was slightly disappointed by the flambée. Service and decor were both wonderful, as was the location of this restaurant.

The chicken with mushrooms was delicious we really liked the homemade traditional pasta - spaetzles here.

Busy family oriented facility. Nice menu and wine list. Waite staff professional and friendly. Everyone spoke English and were patient with tourists attempting to speak French. Moderately priced

Very popular. We arrived for Sunday lunch without a reservation, and were squeezed into a small table for two amidst several large family groups. Two upstairs rooms were also full. We enjoyed a wonderful meal of chicken with mushroom sauce and spaetzle, and sauerkraut with four meats. We had coffee and creme brulee after, and they lit the top of the creme brulee to crisp the sugar. Service was excellent. The restaurant is old-style elegant.

Great dinner ! I had the escargot and salad. Husband had the filet, both were outstanding.

Had beef and pork. Food was good but slightly salty. Service was wonderful except for the male waiter who has a moustache and a Versace apron. Female waitress told us they had space for us. We went in. My very young toddlers who don't know social norms decided to seat themselves at a table while we were handling the pram. Moustache man demanded we get out. I told him that the female told us we could go in n he just kept silent without apologising for his rude behaviour. He also rudely shifted my pram into my personal space

Had a group meal here. Traditional French Dinner with slowly 3course with wine. I ordered 3bottle wine .Their white wine really best and yet so cheap 84€ for 3 bottles. Satisfied.

Finally experienced how the French people dine, mainly for hours, enjoying food, wine and their company. A 3 course meal plus white wine. The pizza was good, simple with just cheese and ham, plus thin crust. Then waited for a long time for our fish of the day.m, which turns out to be mediocre even though it fits my keto diet minus the potatoes. I simply don't like creamy stuff. Then the fruit salads and lastly the white wine, best ever wine I ever had. So smooth. If you ever come, order their wine and pizza (have it hot).

Very bad experience with staff here, the young man was really impolite with customer.

One of my favourite meals from my visit to Alsace. Food was great, the service was very fast and professional. Large table of us all enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend!

Hostorical and vintage setting, cozy and uncomplicated vibe, friendly and personal service, satisfying and delicious food - we definitely enjoyed our experience at restaurant Meistermann. The beef tartar is so dope. On top of that my boyfriend who never liked sauerkraut in his life loved the sauerkraut from this place. The reservation on Google went smoothly on a Saturday evening. As non-French speakers we did not feel that we we were treated any differently. I think this place is totally underrated. Will come back!

This is my favorite restaurant in during this trip in France! I went there during Christmas break last year. It was quite long ago so I couldn't remember what I ordered. But I still remember its fantastic sauce. This is the only restaurant that I'm not tired of its sauce! Its sauce is not only rich of cream. They put other food(I think it is fruit?) into the sauce which makes it very delicious!

Service was good - staff spoke English well enough to serve us. Food was decent... not sure if it's just not my thing but I wasn't blown away or anything. One of the pricier meals of the trip. Had the ice cream cake for dessert which was the highlight. Was difficult to get a table anywhere else around dinner time, as even seemingly empty restaurants had all their tables reserved, so we were grateful to get a seat. The atmosphere was great! Don't think I would go again, but it was enjoyable enough.

I ordered a lamb dish which was soft and Moist , the ice cream cake for desert was also amazing , however the service was rather slow .

This was our second time so we're pretty sentimental about this place. If I'm judging on the place, its 4*. It gives off an upscale vibe. Service is definitely 5*. Food? Its just...ok. For our experience in France, its nothing special and we've decided that this will be our last time. On a cold winter's day, nothing beats a good bowl of (French) Onion soup. This one was basic. It was served...different. Very hip bowl, everything came separately. Personally, I like the cheese to come melted and gooey over the bread, not cold and shredded over croutons. And definitely not for €12. I honestly can't remember what else was ordered if that says anything, I just left feeling we vastly overpaid for a lunch that we didn't really enjoy.

Pretty great dinner just outside the old city in Colmar. Great place for a more 'old school' or dinner club kind of atmosphere. Delicious traditional Alsatian food. We got the fois gras, tarte flambe, choucroux and chicken with mushroom sauce and spaetzle, all were delicious! The choucroux is definitely more fit for two people though! Quiet dinner atmosphere but short dinner hours. The place definitely clears out promptly at 10p.
