Le Petit Bidon was the perfect place for an amazing French dinner. The restaurant is family owned and we really felt like getting invited by a local family to enjoy their favorite food from the area. The staff went above and beyond to create the perfect experience. The menu was in French, but both the mother and son spend a great effort translating the names and helping us understand the different flavors for each dish. For our main course we got the perfect advice on a wine pairing including the stories behind all the different wines. The pairing really made a world a difference for both our meals. We had the smoked fois-gras and truffle egg as a starter, with the pork and poultry as the main dish. Finally, we shared the chocolate Creme Brulee. The owners also gave us a complimentary wine to pair with the dessert which really topped the whole experience. When asking about the wineries, the owners provided us with a list with different local wineries and wrote down which wines we had during our dinner. If you are looking for a place to eat in Colmar, start by making a reservation at Le Petit Bidon.

I always love cozy atmosphere and friendly service, here in Le Petit Bidon you won’t be disappointed. The food is exactly what we expect: local, organic, fresh and super delicious. I’m obsessed with the gambas! We definitely come back

Oh God, after visiting this restaurant I am considering relocation to France. My dream during a short stay in Colmar to find a family restaurant, popular among locals and without touristic things and I have found it! The guys are just cooking gorgeous ❤️

We almost didn't come to this restaurant but it was a last second decision and they exceeded all expectations. Incredible service and food! I have many allergies and they accommodated all, without any issues. The sommelier was also beyond knowledgeable and recommended amazing wine pairings for each dish. Amazing, family run restaurant.

10/10, it is definitely worth a visit. The food is really good, the dishes complex and tasty. It's a bargain to the price. It's a family run business with the son and mother serving while the father is in the kitchen. If you're interested in wine, the son is more than happy to engaged in long conversations about the topic !

Superb little restaurant in Colmar. Everything from the decor, to the food, to the warm and welcoming staff was fantastic. Must make a reservation during winter season, but if you can get in, it’s a memorable meal.

We are travelling from Australia and this has been our favourite restaurant. All three courses were delicious. In fact some of the best meals we've ever tasted. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions for wines. All of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend this restaurant. I think it will be hard to beat in our travels.

It’s absolutely important to book the table in advance, but it’s 100% worth it! Delicious food (smoked foie gras stole my heart!), adorable and competent staff and very cozy atmosphere, it’s everything what you can ask for in a good restaurant.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a memorable dining experience at a restaurant that truly wowed us. The food, presented like culinary works of art, was not only delicious but also a feast for the eyes. The staff, with their welcoming and attentive service, added an extra layer of warmth to our evening. We found their recommendations for both the menu and wine pairings to be impeccable. In our shared opinion, this restaurant unquestionably deserves a Michelin star for the exceptional experience it offers to diners.

A fantastic restaurant, a little bit away from the main tourist area. Only a few tables so it's important to make a reservation. We dined with friends and it's one of those dining experiences we will remember and talk about for years. Family run. A small menu with local seasonal produce used very skillfully by the chef. And a wine list full of local wines that can be navigated with the help of the passionate sommelier. A friendly restaurant I'd recommend to all.

We went here for our first night in Colmar and had a lovely experience. This is a family run restaurant and they were super welcoming, and explained the local wines to us, and even gave us a map of the region and pointed out where the wineries were located. The food was also great, almost all local products cooked extremely well. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough if you're near Colmar!

Such great quality food! Staff were so friendly and told us a lot about the wines. They gave great recommendations for what goes with the dishes, or simply when we told them what tastes we were looking for. Would love to go back again!!

We visited Le Petit Bidon for lunch and enjoyed tasty food and Alsace wines which are recommended by staffs who are very kind and friendly. And it happened that that day was a birthday of staff and was celebrated as surprise by everyone in the restaurant. It was a memorable day for us too. We would like to visit there again!!

We loved this place. Menu just great with about 3 starters, 3 main and 3 or 4 desserts. The menu was in french (obviously) and our French is very limited but we got a charming translation! The waitor or maybe patron I'm not sure was so friendly and charming and also helped in a great way pairing wine with our courses. An awesome evening and experience with great tastes and high quality. Do not miss this gem ♥️

Located in a homey space, its a true family restaurant, with each member having their role. Excellent starters, wholesome mains- well balanced. Overall the food is very well prepared, no matter what you order.

The welcoming service, amazing food, and the extremely knowledgable Sommelier made for a brilliant night out. We were the only non-French customers, and couldn’t feel more welcomed. A definite must to visit here for a wonderful night in a small family run restaurant.
