Very very disappointing, the drinks taste like water!! The old man who served us was super super rude, we didn’t want to stay after speaking with him even for abit!!! Not recommend at all

there are indoor and outdoor seating. When the weather is cold, there is a warmer on the outside. The service was friendly, and the pork knuckle was worth a try. The tourist also must try germany menu various types of drinks from alcoholic or non-alcoholic are available here.

Had great experience here few days ago. Great place to spend nice evening here. We tried Argentinian steak with potato&cream sauce and white wine, beer. It was wow, so tasty, one of the best steaks that I ate. Also the waitress girl was very nice and friendly.

They had no English-speaking waiters. Every time we tried to get the waiter's attention they told us something in German. After they had served 4 tables that came after us and we had waited 20 minutes without getting to place an order, we walked out and the waiter whimpered something to us in German with a hand gesture.

Amazing food! And well-priced! F course, you'll probably come here for authentic weiner schnitzel, but even better was the German meatloaf (think Canadian ham) with the best onions and gravy I've ever eaten... better than Strasbourg, which is known for its cuisine. Khao in a lively area, just a few minutes walk from the "lock bridge." De-lish! 👍if helpful, thanks! 🙏

The food is quick and the portionsize is good. The rumpsteak is nice as well as the sausage. The places outside are comfortable. The restaurant does not offer much service, they demand that you pay for the toilet. This is beyond ridiculous because the price of the food should take this into account, besides the fact that they legally should allow you to go to the toilet for free if you eat here (by European law). Lastly, the waiters demand a huge tip and get angry when you don't. The food is okay, but the mentality of the people working there is not a nice atmosphere.

Food was ok, very big portions, decent price for the amount of food you get. I prefer quality over quantity so it would have been great to get less food but more delicious. Than spinach went very well with the sour cream and the salmon but the potatoes didn't have anything special - they were just boiled potatoes. The waiter was quite slow and quite ignorant even though the place was not really that full. We waited for the food about 10 15 minutes which is on, the bill took just as long which is not so ok. The atmosphere on the terrace was relaxed.

Came in for a quick lunch, before my flight. Both of the waiters were not very good with English (which you would expect in the heart of Köln). I had the pork neck with caramelised onions, sauteed potatoes and salad. The food was lovely and generous portions. The food wait was okay-ish 40-45 minutes for a main course.

I had nice reasonably priced small lunch here on a lovely sunny day. We sat outside under the massive umbrellas and enjoyed the view of the river. I chose a dish from the daily menú and went for the weißwurst (white sausage) with sauerkraut and a bread roll for €9. The sauerkraut is as it should be a bit sharp and full of flavour. The two boiled sausages were very tasty and, along with some mustard, went down at treat! The bread roll accompanied the rest well and was nice and crunchy. So, if you fancy some German pub grub along the banks of Rhein, then give this place a go! Service was friendly and relaxed. Cannot fault anything, so 5 stars.

A lovely restaurant near the river Rhine serving very delicious German cuisine, I particularly like the Pork Knuckle, big portion and the skin was very crackling, good wine, service was good, waiters speak good English, we sat outdoor and there was heating so it was very warm, it was a very pleasant dining experience, I would love to come back.

Service and atmosphere are both good. Unfortunately, I can't tell the same thing for the hamburger. The bread of hamburger is not fresh, it is like the type of bread that is selling in an ordinary market. Steaks are OK but not so good. I had to give 3 stars over 5 for foods.

Gorgeous food, brilliant service, they seemed extremely busy but we were in and out within an hour. Well priced for the quality of food you get. Perfect Shnitzel.

Just finished the pork shank on our last evening in Cologne. Wow! Is an understatement. This was the best dish we had in the city. The shank’s crispy skin and tender meat was amazing. My wife is currently dealing with immense regret on her choice of pasta. (It was tasty, but not even a close second) Enjoy!

Been here once. I ordered a steak and a coffee. The waiter brought coffee before the steak. I asked: is it normal here to serve hot drinks before the main dish? The waiter took away the coffee and did not bring the steak at all. After waiting for more than 30 minutes I had to leave, because my concert was starting.

Food- because that is the main reason why you go there ☺️ is very good. Waiting time - OK. I highly recommend grill plate, as there are simple flavous used but the way it is prepared brings the dish to the higher level. Portions were also big. If you are hungry do not hesitate to go there. You will be satisfied.

Great food and excellent service at quite reasonable prices. Outside area is covered by a marquee roof so rain is not an issue. Nice breeze from the river but plenty of blankets to keep you warm along with cushions on the seats. Highly recommended!

Great traditional German food and buzzy atmosphere! I sat outside under the heated awnings and enjoyed the Pork Knuckle with Sauerkraut. Service was efficient and the setting was warm and friendly. It’s right on the river as well in a busy, fun area. Would highly recommend!

In general, it was delicious, the portion is large. But service is too long. It took a long time to wait for the menu, and for the order itself.

This venue is located in the Alt Stadt. There is inside and outside sitting provided. The staff is very friendly, attentive and prompt. The menue is extensive and the choices available are good. There is local as well as international choices available, and the food is tasty and well presented. A very pleasant venue to go to, and enjoy a nice meal with friends.

The food is not bad. Fried black pudding was on the salty side but portions are generous and service was quick. Nice view of the Rhine.

Very nice food and drinks, waiters don't speak English too well but that's not to be expected at a German restaurant! Spaghetti and steak was delicious.

Stopped by for early dinner last night. Service was excellent and food delicious. Portions were massive, but we all forced ourselves to clear our plates.

Waiter was very unfriendly and spoke very impolitely to us. Came with our drinks and two glasses of red wine, dropped the whole tray on one of us and ruined the white clothes. Was very unapologetic and didn’t seem to care. Got us new beers but he just slammed them on the table and left, didn’t pick up the broken glass on out chairs and we needed to change the table. Wont return…

Just a hyped up place with very low quality food and bad service. You pay a huge price comparatively to other restaurants in the city for just a bad experience. Ordered two flammkuchen and a fried potato. Took them more than 45 minutes to bring a Fried potatoes was super bad with some leaft over pieces from something else. And we ate the worst flammkuchen so far. Their signature Kölner flammkuchen was the biggest disappointment. Please avoid this place and go to a proper german restaurant which you can find 100m away.
