This is the worst hotel I have ever visited. I went for a wedding ceremony last week. The foods were expired and very low hygienic standards. More than 40+ participants had to get medical treatments after having the lunch and 10+ participants had to face critical conditions after consuming their expired foods. Don't ruin your most memorable day by selecting this terrible place for a wedding ceremony.

I attended to a wedding at this hotel. Wonderful hotel with good quality food and service. Management and the staff is also very friendly and professional. Wedding hall is also spacious and beautiful. Their garden is also very beautiful and calm. Good place to have weddings. Love this place❤️

Place is very nice. Ballroom is spacious, well lit and air conditioned. Bar area was not that well maintained I and many other knocked heads on low roof. Food was average quality but desserts were good. Service was very poor, rarely attend the table and staff was not polite at all.

Beautiful location with tasty food. Recently I went to one of my relations wedding. They provide a good service and the food is also very tasty. They also have a big beautiful garden and the wedding hall is also very spacious. Highly recommend for any occasion.

This hotel has a beautiful scenery. Has ample parking space. Food is good but can be improved. Staff is friendly and efficient. Washrooms are clean. Beautiful scenery. This is a good place to take your wedding or any function.

We recently celebrated our son's 5th birthday at the Opulent River Face Hotel. From the start, the staff showcased a clear commitment to the success of our celebration. Their flexibility and understanding truly stood out. We visited various venues in Colombo and suburbs, searching for the perfect place that could accommodate our specific requirements, such as fitting a bouncing castle inside a banquet hall, especially considering our change of plans from a garden party to an indoor celebration due to rain. This hotel surpassed all expectations! The indoor facility was spacious, ensuring kids had ample room to play, and parents could enjoy the party with ease. A special shoutout to Mr. Theja, the manager. His tireless efforts in liaising with the management to fulfill our unique requirements were truly commendable. His dedication made everything we envisioned possible. Furthermore, Geeth and the team were exceptional during the event, ensuring that every detail was taken care of and that everything progressed seamlessly. Opulent River Face Hotel was where I had my 21st birthday and honestly I couldn’t have had it in a better place! The staff was so welcoming and friendly and attended to things with great detail. The food was good and the hall itself was mesmerizing, overall I’d recommend the place to anyone!

I would like to recommend this hotel. The food is so delicious, the rooms are clean and always well organized and the hotel staff is always happy to help and give everything you ask for. Anyone who comes to Colombo and looking for a good and not so expensive hotel ... come to this hotel. And even their wedding reception hall is so elegant, beautiful and clean. The river side view will look so good in pictures aswell. Personally I'm so highly satisfied with this place.

I went to a wedding their last week.Their staff provide an excellent service throughout the function. Food was excellent. Had Lots of food varieties to choose and buffet arrangement is also perfect. Hotel premises is also very clean. I love this place and hope to come again soon.

Ordered food from Opulent River Face for the lunch buffet of our homecoming function held at home. No exaggerations are needed, ddeliciousness of food & the service was so good. All the guests enjoyed the buffet & wishing all the success for the business.

Well, They cancelled our discounted package which is understandable because of the current situation in the country but the manager first calculated with the discount and then he announced that they have to deduct it. 😀 we have to bring paper serviettes and polythene glows, and if forgotten, they didn't even bother to warn us. The room allocated to groom/bride was smelly. The food was unsatifactory, quality and quantity. I can say it was a scam. The deserts were heart breaking, they just put a highland ice cream box for ice creams. In the last hours they reduced the air conditioner, so that my guests started to sweat. Unfortunately i can't recommend this hall for weddings,they are all money minded people.I paid a huge price for it but they failed to deliver a satisfactory service. I m giving 2stars because the flora guys and the music band was okay.

I participated to a wedding on 18th may 2022. Their food is excellent and the service is superb. The wedding hall is also spacious and modern. Staff is also very friendly and helpful.Can recommend to anyone who are planning to have any occasion.

I booked the reception Hall (Grand Ball) on 2019 for my wedding reception and i got stuck in abroad cause of COVID 19. I almost paid 3 advance payment as per the Hotel protocol during the COVID period and i mange to come take my weeding in 2021 in July. I notice the management was fully change by that time. The new management cancelled my contract and they force us to go for the new contract which it was not compatible to us. they ask us to pay irrelevant payment around 1 Hundred Thousand. It was a time Government gave approval to conduct function with 100 headcounts. But without informing us they cancelled my contract. Anyways I have to lean for their conditions cause of my short stay in Sri lanka. Only Management need to be more perfectional. Rest All perfect More recommended for Event Organizing Team. Recommended for Food and Hotel Stay This is not a blaming comment you people should understand the customer’s situation also. Not to take advantage on it. Please don’t spoil your recommendation for silly mistake. Please correct it Thank you for making my Wedding day beautiful.

I had a wonderful experience at the Opulent River Face Hotel even though the current bad situation in Sri Lanka. They did their best to make us comfortable. The 3 star hotel is bit old but they tried there best to make our stay happy. Their management and most of their staff were very young, friendly and professional and always willing to help. The rooms were really spacious, nicely kept and comfortable. The location is also very beautiful and calm - love the riverside gardens in particular, very beautiful. Love this hotel and hope to visit again. Highly recommend!

The food here is very tasty. The rooms are very large as well as the beds are very large. High quality mattresses are placed on the beds. An electric kettle, tea and milk are also found in the room. But these days they do not provide WiFi facility. Adjacent to the hotel, the Diyawanna Oya flows beautifully. This is one of the most relaxing hotels I have ever seen in Colombo. Despite being a very busy and suburban area, the hotel premises are very quiet. You feel like you are in a peaceful area outside of Colombo. The staff is also very kind. I had to walk a considerable distance to my room from the reception. Hotel staff should be more concerned about cleanliness. Some insects can often be found in hotel rooms. They also own a well known catering company in Sri Lanka.

Very run down. In my numerous trips to different countries, I have never seen such dirty toilets. Not a nice environment. Price-performance ratio is extremely bad. Plus point: Very friendly staff.

Worst Hotel ever, The service was really bad on my wedding ceremony. Coordination and the organization was terrible. Do not ever reccomend this hotel to anyone ! Food was terrible, there was dishes which we never ordered for the menu which was a disgrace to us! Ice cream was presented at the buffet with the plastic container, chairs provided were broken.The plates structured to the guests was not properly cleaned and it was smelly and stinks with the food left from the previous function! This was very embarrassing to us! The person in charge was very irresponsible. Staff at the office was helpful to the date but never expected such a terrible outcome on the very special day in my life!
