This place was the worst place we stayed in Sri Lanka. We arrived and the owner was totally drunk for two days. I got a food poisoning from the dinner and the breakfast was absolutely disappointing. Yes, the house is beautiful and well located, but to be honest we would not recommend it.

Beautiful house, nice room, plenty of information on the area. Staff were a bit stand-offish and you had to be let in and out of the gate, which was not ideal. We never met the owners. Breakfast was good, but not huge. Overall, a positive experience but a tad pricey.

Very friendly, clean and a beautiful House! It was a nice, silent and charmy stay in the chaotic Colombo.

Awesome.. Simply awesome... No place can be better!

The Gower House is ideally located in Colombo, in a very quiet environment but close to all amenities. This superb colonial house is managed by Yohan, the owner (former airline pilot), a very warm person, who knows everything about Colombo and will be able to answer your questions. The only drawback is the small number of rooms (all with private bathroom) that it provides. To recommend without the slightest hesitation (if you are lucky enough to find a free room there).

House in kabouk so pleasant. Quiet, we only hear the birds and no more traffic. Yohan is very friendly.
