Best restaurant in Mamaia. The atmosphere is amazing, beautiful live music, camp fire and cute lights above you. The food and drinks are also super tasty and filling. The staff is kind and understanding. It was such a great experience, i highly recommend it.

Authentic Greek food, very juicy chicken souvlaki and the tzatziki feeds the nostalgia for Greece. Quick service and freshly cooked foods with nice Greek music in the background. The fredo espresso is also made the traditional way. We also rented a swing bed on the beach for 80 ron/day which was very comfortable especially for naps... Long naps

Deplorable service!

The portions are very small for the price . We tried most of the starters and were 80% disappointed. There is no taste and poor flavour. The calamari are 6 small pieces per portion, and they are very rigid. they barely can chew them. The lemonade it tastes like chemicals, no real lemnons, I guess. The service was fast, and they asked you each 30 min if you want smth more. The music is playing all evening with a band and singer, there are no breaks so if you want to talk during the night don't go there . I consider its a rip-off considering the small portions and bad taste comforted to the prices.

It was horrible! last year it was pretty good, delicious food, this year was a mockery! They served feta in oven without olive oil, instead of red pepper(Kapia) they put yellow, I guess what they found in the kitchen!? and when i asked at least for olive oil, the answer was they do not have! SO THEY DO NOT HAVE ORIGINAL OLIVE OIL IN A GREEK RESTAURANT!?? How it is possible?! After they gave me a suspicious bottle of oil, that wasn’t t olive oil and it was rancid.🤷‍♀️ The zucchini was full with oil… so a big dissapointig. Not to mention, the music were so laud, we couldn’t hear each other..

Ordered a chicken gyros and some pasta. The pita was good but rest of the gyros was below mediocre. We couldn't eat the pasta since it tasted like it was out of the tin can. Also, chicken pasta with white sauce had only two chunks of chicken. + Friendly staff

The food is tasteless, don’t recommend the fish soup and the fish roe salad. Avoid this restaurant!

The employees at the beach harassed us. They were staring, calling names, asking our contact. When I told their manager that they are making us unconfartable, he just smiled and said ‘It’s because you are beautiful’. This is seriously unacceptable. If you do not wanna get harassed at a place you paid for, just go to the beaches next to them. I tried all: h2o, crazy beach etc they are all much better than this.

Excelent service, delicious food and good music- not very loud, not too quiet. Great atmosphere and decent prices. Highly recommend for a family dinner.

Excellent location, close to the beach, and that’s all. Maybe a cold beer is fine. But it’s rather apparent. The rest is awful. The Mojito is not mojito. It’s icy water with some rum inside and a few leaves of mint and a slice of lime. And they charge for it around 8 euro. Taste like a p… Crazy!!! Food is even worse. A mixed chicken/pork plate is a combination of food from all day, like for dogs. Not even warm enough. I’ve never eaten so bad Greek dishes in any Greek restaurant. If the Greeks would try this, they will tell them to close the place as this is a total profanation of Greek food. Chocolate cake was good but I needed to remind few times that I ordered. 30 Minutes waiting in empty restaurant. The service was really bad. No basic English at all. The waitress was not interested to make you happy. Just to drain the money out of you. And if we talk about money, the place seems to be really expensive. Strongly recommend avoiding this place. Horrible, terrible, awfully.

The place has live Greek music, this year they have some new songs besides the olg gold ones. Food is nice, service ok as long as you don't ask fancy things.

Could be better, some staff/services are poor (bad communication, orientation for tables). Food was something between Romanian and Greek… Prices are not so friendly.

The music is bad and super loud, the food is very expensive and below mediocre. The furniture is old and in very bad shape. The only nice thing about this restaurant is the location, but that is a given, so it doesn't count. I do not recommend it!

We went there on a Tuesday evening. The place was quite empty, just 3 tables were occupied. We ordered drinks, appetizers and the main course.The not so nice thing is that we waited for more than 1.5 h to get the appetizers, even though the place was almost empty. And all the food we odered came at the same time - appetizers and main course. The food was ok , medium - honestly, it was not worth the wait. Will not come here again .

Ordered only drinks and the waiter got 2/3 orders wrong. Asked him for a viennese decaf cappuccino and he said the bar cannot do it, even though they can do a classical viennese cappuccino and they also have decaf cappuccino. Seems like adding whip cream was a bit too much, so anything more than 1 star is also too much for me. A cappuccino is also 20 lei, which is not even the price in a specialty coffee shop in Bucharest. Avoid at all costs!

absolutely horrendous service while crowded due to bad management. the waiters have no idea where the food is supposted to go, so they will just walk around asking people if this is their food. avoid if possible

Little Greece in Mamaia. Very nice! Directly on the beach, nice place, excellent food and drinks, good service. Arrived at 19 o'clock, later it was quite full. Sure we will come back.

Large portions, decent prices. Kataif cake cream one of the best in my experience. Recommended.

Let me start by saying that it's a fabulous place to spend the evening at! The food is very good, even though the menu could be a bit richer. The drinks are expensive, but the atmosphere in the evening takes it all! The terrace is right on the beach and the band playing Greek music steals the show (except Tuesdays, when there's only Greek radio). Each night there's a camp fire that you can sit around, kids and cameras love it! We fell in love with the restaurant, the staff is friendly and helpful the meals delicious, and the view...well, check it out for yourselves! Great place!

Me and my girlfriend had the squid which was acceptable for the price but the cocktails were "transparent". I had an aperol spritz which had no aperol, just ice and orange limes. This place used to be nice a year or two ago.

2nd star only for location as it is great. From the other hand, the staff doesn't understand simple asks, even in Romanian language. Most of them seem very unhappy working there, so you won't experience quality service at all. The food is so and so, not so tasty, but not bad either. It's definitely not a "value for money" restaurant.

High prices for below mediocre food, worse than some random street fast-food. Also paid 17 lei for a no alcohol 0.33 beer while the exactly same beer is 10 -13 lei in all the other (much better looking, better service, and better food) places.

Really nice atmosphere, which 'transported' us directly to Greece. The service was really fast, as it took less than 30 minutes between taking the order and receiving the food. Tasty meat for gyros and an interesting appetizer (fried eggplant).

Food is great but service needs improvement. One first day we were ignored by waiters because we were not sitting at their assigned tables; our waiter was who knows where. On second day service was better but we were given the bill from another table. Good thing we notice it, otherwise we would have paid about 30% less. They have so many people running around but they are badly organised.

Despite many unfavorable reviews, we had a good experience at Ammos. First, they were the only ones available to host our big group of 20 and honest enough to advise us to get before 8 pm otherwise we would have to wait too long to be served. Probably sensing the tip opportunity, the waiter was very prompt and accommodating with all our requests. The food was generally good, although the pork gyros was too dry. They had very enjoyable live Greek music. It’s also true that there were clients who strongly complained about the food being late, although they were warned as we were that ordering after a certain hour is risky.

A good restaurant with nice staff. The reason for 4 stars is the long wait for meals, and sometimes are a bit cold. The view is one of the best.
