Best full english around! Love coming here for any occasion though, always great service and great food!

Staff were very attentive and the chef went above and beyond to accommodate our daughter who has a few food intolerance and managed to make her a fabulous meal without fuss, mine and my husbands food were cooked to out tastes and delivered to the table in good time xx we didn't stay for dessert. A big thank you to the staff for making our meal out one to remember.

We were there for a private function my niece's birthday had a great time staff brilliant, DJ played great tunes, the pub itself is lovely will definitely visit again

Returned here after attending a valentine's special many years ago where everything was amazing so we thought we would have our anniversary meal here but I wish I hadn't. The staff were friendly, they set a nice table but that's where it ended. My steak was very chewy, I did eat it as I usually don't like to waste food but I just couldn't get through the rest. Onion rings were filled with oil, chunky chips that were just frozen from a packet and deep fried. The side salad had a few bits that were edible but the lettuce was wilted and the cucumber tasted like chemicals and I had to spit it out. Husband had the lamb which he said was nice but again the roast potatoes were the cheap frozen ones and weren't very nice. Toilets were dirty and a bit smelly. The place is generally run down, dirty doors, paint coming off, kids play area is literally a swing and slide for a pre school age and only room for one child. Bill was £50 even though they knocked a bit off for my bad food. Personally wouldn't ever return and wouldn't recommend. The owner was standoffish and insisted the food was totally fine and she likes it....... It's a shame as they did say their food is freshly cooked but that would require them to peel and oven cook a real fresh potato, not get it from a packet. They need to look up what fresh means. We spoke to another couple that were sat opposite and they pulled a face and said the food wasn't much good but they didn't feel brave enough to speak up as they were there the next day for a funeral and didn't want to feel awkward

Had to walk through the bar to get to the restaurant part, was dead the whole time we were there, took our order and was friendly and welcoming. Had a coke / Pepsi which was completely flat. Only issue was it was cold inside which wasn’t ideal especially having a little one with us. Server said I’d not ordered a side when I had, did apologise and bring it out after finding I had in fact ordered it. But shouldn’t have said I hadn’t when he hadn’t checked. You do not blame the customer. The strong smell of weed as we were leaving the restaurant (obviously coming from customers in the bar). **needs more outdoor lighting** Old school pub, was a little run down and hadn’t been modernised in awhile. Wouldn’t come again.

A flawless Wedding service and reception My wife and I held our wedding service and reception at The Hare and Hounds in August. From start to finish Kellie and her team went above and beyond helping to make our wedding a success and give lasting memories to us and our guests for the rest of our lives. The ceremony room is intimate and beautiful and the best we saw when looking at potential venues.Meanwhile the function room is lovely too with plenty of room and a decking area to spill out on if the weather is nice which it was for us. The food was AMAZING!! Both the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet. All of our guests dietary requirements were met without compromise on quality of food. A lot of our guests will be returning to the venue for meals on the basis of the food served to them especially our vegetarian guests. We cannot recommend highly enough this venue for your wedding ceremony and reception. We weren't treated as customers we were treated as friends and so were our guests. Cute little country pub. Kids play area would be good but the floor needs drainage/repair as the area below the swings was a mud puddle. Would return.

Super place.. spent New Year’s Eve here. So the atmosphere was great. Staff where excellent and very polite even though they were run of there feet! Food delish 😋 excellent service from the staff again!

Lovely place, food is lovely just great I had pizza and i was able to to get a pizza box to take the rest home as didn’t finish. The atmosphere here is great people are friendly, they allow families and dogs which is good also ! They are very welcoming staff always treat you with a smile and ask if everything is okay. I was met by a lady called Sarah who served me she was really friendly and welcoming. I would recommend as I had no problems during my visit.

Such lovely people and such a clean pub great family atmosphere with lovely music in the back ground to enjoy your time with the bar staff was so help full and as soon as u get to the bar there is staff serving u or telling u just a moment and I will be with u after this customer big shout out to Dan as he served me that night and his professional attitude was 10/10

Great atmosphere very welcoming. Very busy but plenty of staff to attend to your needs. Lovely open fires on a very cold night made it very cosy. Definitely be back.

Really good meals. Beautifully served and cooked. Excellent gluten free menu and vegetarian menu. Thoroughly enjoyed the place and service.

Great venue. We hosted a wake here and they made it very easy. Very willing to help with catering for vegetarians and vegans. They also allowed us to bring in decorations to make it more personal. I would definitely recommend this place for anything from a Sunday lunch with your partner to a gathering of hundreds of guests. Great food and lovely people.

Food was very nice ! Hot and plenty of it although pea's would be nice with the ham and eggs. Staff were great. We will look forward to our next visit.

The pub itself is lovely and the food is great, it's just the side building used for private parties is really dated, the toilets are in desperate need of updating, and the place is quite dark and cold.

I've been twice to family birthdays in their separate room.The food on the buffet was good I loved the chicken curry.Drinks were reasonable.We had two enjoyable evenings

If I could give this place 0 stars that's what I would give them. I was out at this place with my family for food that was either cold or like a complete brick. I would not recommend this place and would I go back there certainly NO.

Lovely pub, staff are very helpful and friendly and there's a cozy family feeling to the whole place. Food is brilliant and worth the price. Also great if you just want a pint and soak up the traditional pub environment. Kellie the land lady has transformed this establishment into a thriving and welcoming local.
