Absolutely disgusting!!! Ordered a chicken salad and ohy was it 😖 awful. The chicken was like rubber and full of fat and the onions in the salad was unbelievable. It was half an onion with the end cut of it actually in my salad!!!! The only thing that was nice were 4 tomatoes. I complained to the waitress who was a new girl and agreed with me how bad the food was. She never came back. WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!

My partners fries were reheated and had a terrible texture. I had the mixed grill ,the worst steak I've ever had tough and sinewy the sausages looked like they had been reheated from breakfast ,the gammon tasted good but looked burnt or cooked on a grill that hadn't been cleaned recently. But my chips and peas were fine

Very busy local pub for the area... Great hungry horse prices... Staff were extreamly busy but still serving with politeness and courtesy... The 2 gents serving were doing a bang up job considering the rush on the the bar and the large complicated orders... Didn't get their names. This didn't phase the kitchen however, the food came out quickly, very hot and most importantly correct 👍🏻 The young lady waiting tables (I think her name Courtney ?) She was very polite and keeping the tables fresh and clean ready for the next customers... She fetched me some bags to take bits home. All in all a great all round service... Very pleased.

The worst meal I have ever had in my life. Ordered food late so I can understand things may have been turned off however they should not have let us order. Food was bought out… steak that was ordered medium came out well done and looked disgusting, on questioning the girl said that they had to cook it a “different way” what different way is there to cook a steak? From the looks of it microwave. Second meal was Christmas dinner from festive menu… everything on that had clearly been microwaved as well, when we asked the girl about it she said she would speak to the manager, came back with cash, dumped it on the table and said there you go it’s all been refunded. Didn’t touch a single bit of the food was awful. Save your time and money and go somewhere else

We visited in October 22 while my daughter was at a birthday party at the AT7 centre. We ordered via the app which was really simple and the service was simple and our drinks arrived quickly. For a Friday night we didn’t wait long for food to arrive at all. However despite the attractive menu the food just didn’t live up to its expectations. I ordered a sizzling grilled salmon, when it arrived it was in fact a boiled salmon and hadn’t seen a grill. I did tell the waitress at the end of the meal and she commented that she thought it didn’t look grilled when she brought it out yet served it anyway and told us to leave a review…. From that comment you can probably make the assumption that the feedback is regularly received and that this is an ongoing issue. I’d maybe stick to chips on your visit they were ok….

Over 45 minutes from order to service. No apologies. Ordered a chicken bacon lettuce wrap and baguette & 2 childrens meals, 2 small pieces of chicken on the wrap, 3 on the baguette and no bacon on either. Children's meals were better sized portions. Won't be going again.

Went there today with my husband for a mixed grill, drinks & pudding. Haven't been here for over 4 years due to it going downhill. Food was lovely . Tasty and warm. Tables were clean The staff were friendly, warm and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back again soon.

Ordered food, was informed it would take 45 minutes. The starter came out in about 10-15 but the main course took nearly two hours and at that point asked for a refund. The waitress on the other hand was helpful.

Great quality food and great service. Ordered at 20:30 received both meals by 20:45. Staff were really professional but also very welcoming and happy to have a chat. Definitely recommend. Been here before a while ago and wasn’t too impressed but things seem to be turning around. Keep up the good work!

Great place to meet friends for a birthday meal. Very friendly welcoming staff member working on her own. Each customer had her individual attention when being served and we weren't rushed even though there was a queue. Our 2nd visit definitely be back again. Food hot and fresh. Great service 👏

Wasn't expecting the best meal because we all do with places like this but i was wrong i had fish and chips, fish was crunchy and tasty meat. Partner had full Monty mixed grill and the steak was fabulous was only rump but it was cooked perfect and meat was so like an expensive cut was shocked, chicken was juicy along with gammon. Portions sizes were huge. Craig and Tiff were very polite and helpful in our needs for a couple changes to meals. Great value for money and will come back soon for a steak on its own 😋. Only downside was it was a bit cool wearing a T-shirt but ont cold, would take a lot to heat of the place as its huge.

The food here is DISGUSTING!!! I ordered steak which came with chips, onion rings and peas, my husband had mixed grill, also served with chips and peas. The ONLY thing on both our plates that was even slightly hot was the chips. The rest was barely even warm. The food here is a health hazard and well below the temperature it should be cooked to for food safety. The “chef” (if you can call him/her a chef) definitely needs to go back to college to learn the basics of food safety cos serving food like they have done, someone is going to end up very very poorly. If you’re okay with undercooked, processed, microwave slop, this is the place for you. If not go elsewhere! Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t expecting a top notch meal from a hungry horse, but I do expect my food to be safe to eat and this definitely was not that! Absolute disgrace by all involved allowing food to leave that kitchen like it does

Shockingly bad! Eaten here a number of Times but never again! Went for a Mother’s Day lunch. Got served Frozen processed chicken. Hard veg. Soggy Yorkshire puddings. Bitty stuffing and packet mash?! Son wanted pizza and chips… got a Chicago town frozen pizza. No one came to check how food was. Just left it in the table in the end. Appalling food and service!!

I have just been here for a meal with my partner and her youngest child, we had a lovely time except for what was happening in front of us. Two women, who were clearly part of management, were being horrendous to one of the waitresses, making constant demands "it's too cold" "not cooked right" all while she is serving other people, at one point they said the food was too cold and then they wanted it boxed for later when they get home. I hope that poor girl finds a job elsewhere

Had a lovely meal a few ago everything was great. But this very poor, it's was my wife's birthday and granddaughter birthday. We had been there two hours and only had a main meal. The staff was good but they was only a few of them. They done what they could,but was under a lot of pressure. It ruined the day. We never even done cakes 🎂. Nearly three hours later we managed to leave.

Only our second visit, first being years ago so thought we'd give another chance. Food was disappointing, raw batter on fish and bland rubbery chicken. Kids meals were good but nuggets and chips are hard to get wrong. Good value just a shame the quality was lacking. Kids were well entertained by the TV and colouring. Booths are in need of TLC as seating all ripped, doesn't give a good impression.

On December the 5th 2023 at 5pm myself and my partner visited the signal box there was about 8 people in the pub so pretty empty we ordered 2 fish and chips and when the meals came one fish was raw we called the staff over who checked the fish and then the manager went to check the fish and said yes it’s raw and there will be a full investigation here’s a refund myself and my partner left

Have eaten here twice this week and the food was amazing hence why we are back again. Staff are very friendly and helpful would definitely recommend this place if you want a nice meal. Bonus too as you can use your blue light card for 20% off.

Had a great meal here on Wednesday! Ten of us were in our group many placing separate orders but the chefs Charmaine and Sean really pulled it out the bag, the food was fab and all came out at the right time. Thank you 🙌🏻

Sorry 😞 Signal Box. It's a thumb down from me and the wife. Celebrating 🍾 our dear Grandsons Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 with family 👪 on Saturday Early afternoon Staff were friendly and polite. But our food was not up to standard s 😢 We shared a mixed combo for two. Scampi. Chicken 🐔 pieces in batter and roasted were hot 🔥 But the chips 🍟 garlic bread 🍞 and flatbread 🫓 were cold 🥶 We did not complain as we did not want to spoil our dear Grandsons birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 The rest of our party shared just as🍟 with cheese. The 🍟 were that cold the cheese 🧀 never melted as the staff must of noticed of not many empty plates.

We eat here fairly regularly and the food is always good and the staff are amazing! especially Steve who always takes a bit of extra time to make sure the children are happy, fast service (dependant on how busy it is, of course) and service with a smile! One of our favourite places to eat in Coventry would highly recommend especially to families

Had a steak, ate 2/3 of it and unfortunately it was full of gristle. Told a member of staff. Was asked if I wanted a different meal, to then be told because I'll eaten 2/3s of my steak I couldn't change it. So don't have steak here unless you like eating gristle.

Excellent service nice and clean and well worth the money 2 meals for £8.99 and buy one get one free in burgers managed to feed seven of us and drinks for £52 seriously can't complain and the food was really nice

Been' this place a couple of times usually no complaint but today I think they were just really slow my daughter's food come half an hour before my own had to ask twice how long.

I would give it minus stars if I could You’re chef cooked a dry chicken, I tried to eat a bit of breast realised how difficult to eat it was, then tried to eat the leg, and it was soo dry there was hardly and meat on it, we tried to get the attention of a waitress and she took the chicken back, she sent out who I guess was the manager, who spoke to me in slang, saying there wasn’t much chicken left and then said she could send the chef out. Which she did. The chef came out and tried to humiliate us infringe of the whole restaurant, asking other customers about the chicken who later told us they were scared of her! We was shouted at, with 2 children at the table aswell. I showed her how I couldn’t press into the chicken, how a bit of the meat wouldn’t even bend because it was so dry, she made out I had eaten it! She was very unprofessional! And extremely rude aswell as the ‘manager’. I have the contact details of another customer as they found the performance very off putting- they had also been waiting almost 30 minutes for ice cream. Where did you employ your staff from?! Those 2 in particular seem like they have had absolutely no training in customer service! Or food preparation! I’ve worked in kitchens for years this was ridiculous! Try to embarrass the customers for complaining, shouting so the entire restaurant can here…

Nice place, food was very nice, staff were friendly and it was a nice family atmosphere. However, unfortunately unable to rate as 5 star due to the VERY long wait for food. Although the football was on, there wasn't actually many people in the place so unsure why it took half an hour for starters. And although we ordered normal food after, it took an additional 40 minutes, for which 2 of the meals were a salad and 1 was a chicken club wrap. If they improve on the timing, then definitely will be 5 star

So we have been here before and it has been amazing but the past 2 times we have been here we have had issues with our foods. Over all our starter was amazing and the staff were really friendly. Me and my partner order stake both well done. Mine came put more medium well but my partners came out extremely pink and bloody , so unfortunately we had to send it back and even though we did that it then still didn't come out well done it was more medium well. We were really upset with how the food was. My partner ended up boxing up the rest to take home. I hope people have a better experience then we did this time round.

Went for food today and I will definitely not be visiting here again. My chicken looked uncooked and soggy. I was told the chicken is brought in already cooked so there was no way it was not cooked( so it’s not fresh then).They did plate up some more food but looked exactly the same. The cook then brought out our puddings even tho the dinner plates were covering the table so we had to stack them up ourselves. The cook looked very stressed and her nails were filthy, completely put me off and we left straight away.

After such a long time of not going in here because of how bad the food had become. I am very pleased to say, this evening I was pleasantly surprised not only by the quality of the food but the way it was also presented. All of the food we had chosen was hot, tasted great and well worth the money. Thank you to the staff and whoever the chef was, the service and food was great. Thank you Signal Box.

We visited this evening for a family birthday celebration. Two staff members (both called Steve) were the only members of staff on shift but you would not be able to tell. They were both genuinely exceptional. They served everything on time, built a great rapport with my family and were always around to answer questions and to check everything was ok. Thanks again, you made our evening.

Just had the buy one burger get one free all day Friday. Absolutely delicious very well prepared and presented. This includes fries and onion rings and pot of ketchup. Would highly recommend.👍

We arrived at the venue to be told by a rude member of staff we couldn’t be seated because they were too full but from view, we could see there were tables. Food was a 2 hour wait. When the food arrived it was cold and some were burnt. Tables we sat on still have old food still left on them and food still left in bowls. After we finished with our food and drinks, no staff were even taking away the finished glasses and plates. There was no room for anything. Very disappointed.

Haven’t been in a while because last time it wasn’t very nice at all But this time the food was much better, presented better & the 2 waitresses were helpful. Only thing Id say is down the sides of the seats in the booth where we sat first table on the left as you come out of the kitchen was alot of food/dirt etc needs sorting & the carpets are really grubby in that area too.

Popped in for a quick pint whilst walking along the canal; staff were friendly, drinks were good and reasonably priced. We didn't eat, but saw some of the food being served, it looked good with very large portions. Some areas of the pub are a bit tatty, but overall it was a pleasant place for a quick drink and a chat. We will go back.

First visit despite living locally, and was not disappointed! Made the mistake of ordering a starter & extra side - the main servings are massive as they are! And these were the normal sides, not the advertised 'big plate' meals! Definitely get bang for your buck. Next time - no starter, no side, maybe no lunch that day! Service was polite & professional, problem with the app initially as our booked reserved table wasn't selectable! But bar staff took order and advised this is just a delay in updating the app after reopening more after lockdown & restrictions etc. Will visit again!

Decent pub. Polite staff. Food okay but not the best. Hard chips as not cooked properly. Steak tasteless and onion rings soggy. No draught ales. Shame really as pub has a lot of potential. They need to get the basics right. Would try again

Went for breakfast cutlery was dirty with old food on had to ask for fresh food was cold had to ask to warm.up bacon looked old took photos to send to them was only 3 people in there so don't know how bad it would get if busy
