On
our
very
first
day
in
Paris,
we
had
to
take
packed
dinner.
Upon
checking
into
Novotel
room
number
10,
we
were
given
a
room
without
air
conditioning.
With
packed
dinner
in
the
room,
and
without
ventilation
we
felt
uneasy
so
we
requested
if
air
conditioning
could
be
turned
on.
To
this
request,
their
staff
gave
2
different
answers
-
1
said
air
conditioning
was
turned
off
for
the
entire
hotel
and
1
said
air
conditioning
was
turned
off
only
for
a
few
rooms.
We
anyway
requested
for
the
room
to
be
changed
to
one
with
air
conditioning
turned
on
(
as
staff
said
few
rooms
had
AC
turned
on
).
The
next
day,
when
we
were
on
tour,
in
our
absence
our
luggage
was
shifted
by
Novotel
staff
without
informing
us
or
the
Tour
Manager.
Upon
reaching
the
hotel
we
found
this
out
as
our
key
was
not
working.
The
Novotel
staff
told
us
the
room
was
changed
to
room
number
17.
Upon
going
to
room
number
17,
we
found
2
different
guests
living
there.
So
we
went
back
to
the
reception
livid
that
our
luggage
was
shifted
in
our
absence
and
now
we
did
not
even
know
where
it
was.
Still
the
manager
refused
to
move
from
his
seat.
One
of
his
subordinates
then
went
from
1
door
to
another
searching
for
our
luggage
and
finally
found
it
in
room
no
41
(not
mentioned
at
all
in
Novotel
records).
Totally
unprofessional
from
Novotel.
If
the
air
conditioning
was
turned
off
for
the
entire
hotel
(which
was
true
as
our
second
room
also
was
non-AC),
why
change
our
room
at
all
?
Can
the
staff
atleast
have
clear
information
if
Air
Conditioning
is
turned
ON
or
OFF
in
their
own
hotel
?
The
reception
staff
and
especially
the
manager
was
rude
and
racist.
He
even
stopped
a
few
guests
on
the
tour
from
taking
breakfast
without
checking
that
our
package
included
premium
breakfast
at
the
hotel.
Except
for
Wood
-
the
guy
who
went
door
to
door
searching
for
our
luggage,
the
entire
Novotel
staff
was
pretty
much
useless.
