Last
saturday,
I
went
to
this
place
with
three
of
my
associates
after
a
recommendation.
We
wanted
to
relax
and
have
drinks,
so
a
lounge
seemed
perfect.
We
made
a
call
around
8pm
and
were
told
we
could
come.
After
finishing
our
first
round,
we
decided
to
close
the
first
tab
with
cash
so
one
of
us
could
put
the
next
rounds
on
their
card.
However,
we
were
told
by
the
server
that
we
could
not
order
anymore
unless
we
bought
a
200,000
fcfa
bottle
because
they
only
allowed
table
service
after
10pm
because
of
a
private
party
they
were
hosting.
Again,
we
were
not
told
any
of
this
when
we
called.
I
went
to
talk
to
the
manager
(Peggy)
to
explain
the
situation,
and
she
then
apologized
and
told
us
to
remain
at
our
table
and
keep
ordering.
As
we
went
ahead
with
our
second
order,
we
were
again
told
that
we
had
to
move
because
our
table
was
reserved.
Again,
this
was
not
disclosed
to
us
when
we
were
given
the
table.
After
many
back
and
forth
between
the
server,
hostess,
who
told
us
this
was
a
management
order,
I
asked
to
see
the
manager
once
again
as
we
could
not
understand
why
we
were
being
harassed
to
move
and
refused
drinks.
The
manager
never
showed
up
to
our
table.
The
hostess
came
once
again
to
apologize
for
not
telling
us
the
table
was
reserved
and
should
not
have
sat
us
there.
In
an
effort
to
make
all
this
easier
for
all,
we
agreed
to
move
to
another
table.
We
were
brought
to
a
section
of
the
restaurant
with
high
chairs
and
barely
any
room
to
sit,
at
which
point
my
friends
and
I
decided
to
leave.
I
went
to
the
manager
for
a
last
word
before
leaving,
to
explain
the
terrible
service
we
received,
only
after
refusing
to
order
an
overpriced
bottle.
I
explained
once
again
that
we
were
never
told
about
reservations
when
we
called
HER
and
when
we
were
sat,
and
how
SHE
told
us
that
we
could
stay
only
to
have
her
servers
do
the
nasty
job
of
compelling
us
to
leave.
She
denied
everything,
after
which
three
other
men
(a
head
server,
another
manager,
and
the
owner
who
was
also
her
husband),
all
came
to
her
defense,
denying
our
experience,
justifying
that
they
supported
the
decision
to
move
us,
and
blaming
the
servers
for
all.
Now
here’s
the
thing,
at
no
point
did
the
management
team
owned
up
to
their
own
neglect
and
lack
of
communication
with
us.
Even
after
telling
me
we
could
stay
on
our
table,
they
still
blamed
the
server
(who
was
there
when
I
spoke
to
management
and
who
I
talked
to
right
after)
for
us
being
moved.
The
whole
time
we
were
waiting
for
our
second
round
of
drinks,
we
could
see
the
manager
talk
to
our
waiters
and
the
hostesses,
who
would
then
come
back
to
us
with
some
new
issues
and
moving/ordering
requests.
Having
myself
worked
in
the
service
industry,
at
all
levels,
I
know
from
experience
that
a
manager’s
job
is
to
at
least
be
accommodating
to
their
guests
and
explain
THEMSELVES
when
there’s
a
service
issue.
It
is
easy
to
blame
the
wait
staff
and
let
them
do
the
dirty
job
you
don’t
want
to.
And
let’s
be
clear
here,
there
is
no
restaurant
and
definitely
no
manager
without
the
PATRONS
spending
their
money.
The
whole
management
team
should
be
ashamed
of
themselves,
you
are
a
disgrace
to
the
service
industry.
Because
like
the
name
says
it,
it
is
about
SERVICE,
you
are
not
the
stars.
We
spent
over
60,000
fcfa
and
left
with
no
apologies,
no
accountability,
not
even
a
compensatory
drink
(not
that
we
needed
any
at
that
point).
And
by
the
way,
200,000
fcfa
for
cheap
bottles
is
a
scam
that
the
stature
of
your
establishment
can’t
justify.
No
one
should
go
there,
and
as
I’m
sure
there
are
many
who
have
had
an
equally
unpleasant
experience,
please
people,
write
your
reviews.
You
owe
it
to
yourselves.
