So.. I had booked a Hertz car for a week from Expedia for 216 usd / week including taxes and fees. When picking up the car, the counter agent found my reservation but literally laughed my rate off saying this was only publicity and that's the real price was 320 euros / week (twice my reservation rate). After a long argument and because I had not other choices I decided to go ahead with the rental. Before charging my card I did ask how many km were included. The agent simply said 0. Meaning that I would be charged 50 cent of a dollar for every km from the agency on top of my rental. After calling them a fraud, not only for not honouring their price upon booking and now giving a car u simply are not allowed to drive, the owner finally came in and agreed to include 100km / day... yeepee. During the rental, the car's tire flattened. When calling hertz for some road assistance, the answer of the agent was simply, we dont do this in sengal. Do what's best. Literally. 2 days later the breaks pads were making noise and had to be changed. I agreed for a car swapping. The new car was given but failed to start twice due to the battery being dead. When returning the car, the agent tried to add 18% on price saying VAT was not included in their prices which goes against local laws. I threatened to dispute the charge a d to drag them to arbitration in view what had happened all along this rental. They backed off. Do NOT use Hertz senegal. Cars are not maintained and they will not honor they online price booking.

I booked a car through Expedia site, then when arrive Hertz office I found that they did not receive confirmation from Expedia, accordingly I was forced to book again a similar car directly with Hertz (more expensive than Expedia reservation). The mileage of the car I picked up was more than 80,000 km, I went to a nearby restaurant, had my breakfast (few meters far from Hertz office), after that the driver tried to run the car was broken down :( and I was forced to push the car for the driver :D, I went to Hertz office again to escalate they managed to bring another car (but their communication skills were bad)
