Ivy Tavern is a hopping little place! Great bar, really sweet heated patio with TVs and occasional live music. Due to surrounding homes and businesses, you won't find loud and rowdy bands, but there's plenty of trendy atmosphere. The food was fairly traditional bar food and the drinks were good and strong. Pretty unassuming place by the front of the place, but park around back and belt right up to the outdoor bar. There's billiards, darts and plenty of seating. Awesome spot!

First time there this evening. I'm middle aged, by myself, and felt completely comfortable. Bartender Justin was super friendly. Club sandwich with fries was very good. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back with friends!

Very casual great place to hang out with friends. They have an extensive food menu and a great outdoor patio in the back (perfect for outdoor dining). They had a pool table out in the back and TVs around the bar, so it would be a perfect location to watch games with friends. We ordered a pizza and loaded fries for our meal. It did take while for the food to be brought out (the cheese on our fries was cold when it was brought out along with the pizza). However, I was told that they make everything in-house. Edit: I came again to the Ivy for their Monday trivia nights. I had a blast! The food came out quicker than my last visit and the atmosphere was great. Great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a casual drink.

Kyle is one of the main reasons we go to The Ivy. He always has a smile, always remembers your name and orders. He’s very welcoming to what feels like his home. Love the new upgrades and the wall art. Great bar food like their pizza as well!

Never judge a book by its cover (unassuming spot, no curb appeal). Great kitchen in a classic local dive bar with funk, stellar bar service/servers. If ya don't know, now ya know.

It's a nice bar to hang out with friends. Will return for the atmosphere. Bar tenders are a bit cold 🥶 but it was due to miscommunication. Clean, well kept, nothing chaotic.

I’ve driven by this hidden dive bar 1,000,000 times. Maybe 999,000 before I ever knew it existed. Today, I finally ventured in. That’s a tragedy. Occupying a tiny storefront on Lemmon Ave, the place extends into a tesseract of expansive space. A small dark and clubby (though spartan) interior and a large shaded and misted back patio that make this oppressive Texan summer heat endurable. The bartender was cheerful and attentive. Not a craft cocktail spot, but respectably outfitted for the unfussy standards. Time can stop ensconced in the dark walls and a refreshing libation at the front bar. The bar menu is far larger than anticipated. D Magazine recently lauded their Hamburger pizza. It’s tasty. Detractor: I’d prefer glass for my water over the red solo cup. All things considered, it’s kinda a thrill to know about a “secret gem” that’s solidly been standing its ground for quite a while. ‘Bout time I clued in. Having car work done at a nearby dealership? This is a prime option to wait it out.

The place is clean and very cute lots of games including a pool table. The food?!?! Dear Lord!!! Get the loaded fries with brisket and pimiento cheese pleaseee and their cheese pizza was the bomb!! I recently visited this hidden gem, and I was pleasantly surprised by the great vibes it offered. The laid back atmosphere and tasteful modern music created a unique and cozy ambiance. The staff were friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making sure everyone had a good time. The crowd was diverse and laid-back, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. While the place might not have the fanciest drinks or decor, its charm and friendly atmosphere make it a must-visit for those looking for a relaxed and enjoyable place to drink.

Local dive with food available pretty late into the evening. My buddy loves the burger, so I'll try it soon and update this review. I've been coming here for years and hope it stays for many years to come. Great social setting and open patio. Parking can be a challenge at times, but there are two lots available (on each side street of the building).

Looks like a cool space in the back patio area and it has pool tables!! I passed it a couple times since it was tucked in by a pawn shop. Parking in the back is easy to miss, but they have neon signs to direct you. Bartender had an empty bar except the two friends I came to meet up with. I sat next to them under the assumption we will get served. The bartender rudely told me that there are no drinks over where im sitting and to come to the end of the bar and order. I asked my friend what that was about since she stated that he served my coworkers where they sat... So I waited to be served. He never approached me or welcomed me. Being a bartender and Hospitality Professional, I was not happy. I had a smaller discussion with the bartender and he said thanks for the advice. No apology. Just attitude. He finally cited off some ciders for me after I had to task and my friend flagged him down. I wont be returning.

There needs to be a non-smoking and No big Dog rule or area. I was surprised to see a person with a huge dog sitting next to her in the back bar, which is literally the whole place. The Ivy has a lot of charm, but not everyone wants random huge dogs right next to them with people that are drinking. Leave the dogs safely at home. The mixture of people is wonderful, always friendly, and it's a Dallas original experience.

It's everything neighborhood bars should be: great food at great prices, cocktails that put a smile on your face and easily the most friendly staff in Dallas. Do not miss the Greek Salad. I know, sounds ridiculous to recommend a salad but the owners are from Greece and it taste like it!! Get it with some pita!!

Went in Friday around 430/5 and we left around 7. It was such a chill and welcoming atmosphere. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and food and all of it was SO TASTY! I got a cocktail and the brisket grilled cheese and my friend got fried pickles. Incredibly good, most definitely looking forward to going back!

Looks are deceiving! I have drove by this place for 2 years and never stopped in. Its next to a pawn shop and a shady convenient store. But I finally said the hell with it and when it. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. The back patio is amazing. Very spacious and super clean with a very cool vibe. The bar is great and I will definitely be going back.

One of the most wholesome bars in Dallas area especially for a chill laid back night with friends. The outdoor patio is large and offers a lot of activities and games and pool tables. The bar service is very friendly and quick, very affordable drinks. Its rare to find a functioning jukebox but this place does have one. Met the owner few times and he’s an extremely professional, social and nice person. Definitely and enjoyable place on weeknights or chill weekends with a group of friends. Various food options until midnight, great portions too.

I've wanted to try this place for years but never made it until yesterday. That was a mistake on my part I should have been going in there regularly for years. A quaint front of house with couch style seating and at a bar stocked with dozens of local brewery selections. My wife and I both had pizzas and it was so good we do take out if we live closer. Then we looked at the back of house. A comparatively huge outdoor bar with misters everywhere for climate control. It was packed with a great crowd.

Hidden gem of Dallas. Bartenders, food, environment, and people are all awesome. Nothing but great things to say about this place.

Fun local bar. The owner is always updating the scene and adding to the party. The outside patio is huge. It features covered bar seating, open air table seating and a new covered patio extension that sports TWO pool tables! The bar attracts a diverse, friendly crowd. You will always find someone to hang out with. If you like strong drinks and delicious bar food, the IVY Tavern should be at the top of your list. The bartenders are attentive and keep your Red Cup full. The Red Cup is a double pour and a true bargain.

I love coming here, my favorite local bar. The new bartender Shelby is so dope as are the other ones. Especially when my guests and I start hogging the jukebox, not even one complaint (They deserve a raise solely for enduring my awful music taste 😭) Been coming for almost a year now and I've never had a bad time. My only complaint is that they tend to ignore guests but they're so busy most of the time I understand. Best bar in Dallas!

My company hosted a Happy Hour at The IVY and had the best experience. The team enjoyed all their time and the staff at The IVY were so inviting and made the night so easy for us! We appreciate all the work they did to help us have a team building experience in the patio!
