I’ve
driven
by
this
hidden
dive
bar
1,000,000
times.
Maybe
999,000
before
I
ever
knew
it
existed.
Today,
I
finally
ventured
in.
That’s
a
tragedy.
Occupying
a
tiny
storefront
on
Lemmon
Ave,
the
place
extends
into
a
tesseract
of
expansive
space.
A
small
dark
and
clubby
(though
spartan)
interior
and
a
large
shaded
and
misted
back
patio
that
make
this
oppressive
Texan
summer
heat
endurable.
The
bartender
was
cheerful
and
attentive.
Not
a
craft
cocktail
spot,
but
respectably
outfitted
for
the
unfussy
standards.
Time
can
stop
ensconced
in
the
dark
walls
and
a
refreshing
libation
at
the
front
bar.
The
bar
menu
is
far
larger
than
anticipated.
D
Magazine
recently
lauded
their
Hamburger
pizza.
It’s
tasty.
Detractor:
I’d
prefer
glass
for
my
water
over
the
red
solo
cup.
All
things
considered,
it’s
kinda
a
thrill
to
know
about
a
“secret
gem”
that’s
solidly
been
standing
its
ground
for
quite
a
while.
‘Bout
time
I
clued
in.
Having
car
work
done
at
a
nearby
dealership?
This
is
a
prime
option
to
wait
it
out.
