A great place to visit for any family. The entire zoo/aquarium is indoors so no worries about the weather outside. Parking is plentiful and around $10 unless you get the highly coveted meter parking spots. I have 2 young boys and we went through the entire place in a little over 2 hours. There are a number of areas to sit and rest, including a cafe in the middle of the jungle exhibit! Lots of bathrooms and of course the gift shop at the end. If you can go earlier in the morning, you will avoid the large groups and crowds. Navigating in the zoo/aquarium is pretty simple. You just follow the path and it will lead you through all the exhibits. A great morning or afternoon stop during a vacation or a special day with the family.

Very nice place, not completely an aquarium as there’s also things like birds, sloths, owls, and snakes. Has a very open area to fully immerse you in the experience. Wish there was more “security” around the open top tanks as there were many kids putting their hands in them and trying to mess with and touch fish that should not be handled. Also has a great gift/souvenir shop with decent prices. Overall would definitely recommend, but if you bring kids, please watch them.

So much fun!! We spent almost three hours walking around and really enjoyed every minute of it! It was pretty packed, but we were still able to see everything we wanted to and everyone was polite and tried to share the views with others. Coming from a smaller city with only a small zoo, this was amazing to see so many beautiful animals! The exhibits were clean, beautiful, the animals looked extremely well cared for and well fed! Wonderful experience!!

This place was amazing. We had such a great time. They had a drink station halfway through where we got frozen margaritas! I loved seeing all the different animals. It was so diverse with both fish and mammals. So great you should definitely bring the family. Set aside about two hours minimum.

We enjoyed the layers. The animals were out, it was perfect timing. Not so busy . My grandchildren enjoyed all the fish and reptiles. Plenty of space for everyone and lots of room for the grandchildren to enjoy and play. We will be going back .

A lot packed in a small looking building. Has multiple levels to walk through and see different animals. Is more zoo vs aquarium though but kinda combine the two together which is cool. Was very busy when we got here on a Saturday afternoon, the line to get in wrapped around the building but was steadily moving. Due to its business trying to walk through and see some animals were hard. So be mindful and try to go at none busy time.

They have a lot more than just aquatic animals, very cool. A bit pricy and was a little confusing to navigate all the levels and see everything. Got in without a mask, just told them we were medically exempt and they seemed to honer it. Definitely fun and pretty impressive to see all the different animals they have in the building

This place was pretty cool! Love seeing all the animals, especially the sharks! They look so funny they made me laugh. It is a little pricey but I recommend going with family or friends if you want to do something fun. The gift shop was very cute bought some jewelry and had a wonderful time!

LINES... LINES... and more LINES!! It was a nice aquarium but definitely not worth the price. Two adults (one military) and one kid (3 yrs) almost $82.00. Parking across the street was $10.35 for a 24hr spot. We came on a weekend and the line was long to get to the main entrance. We purchased out tickets online, thankfully. The staff tells you to start on the 3rd floor but maybe stay on the bottom and work your way up. The place is small... even though the name has the word "World" in it. There is a lot to see but when it's over crowded, you're standing in lines just trying to get through it all. There are not enough bathrooms to accommodate all the people who go during peak times,so be prepared to stand in another line. The gift shop is decent but with everyone in the room it gets crowded quickly and it's hot. Overall, would not go back.

We loved the Dallas World Aquarium! There was so much to see and learn! The staff was great at helping us with our wheelchair and showing us the best place to start. This was more like a zoo than an Aquarium with all of the animals that were there to view and enjoy. My favorite was the sloth and how close you could get to them.

The facilities are beautiful and well laid out. The habitats are open and perfectly landscaped making the animals feel so much closer and uncaged. The pelicans were so close I could actually touch and rub one. I didn't. I'm not crazy. And they offer adult beverages. Hello! All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The reason for the 4 stars is because the facilities are a bit small and the shark tank was small and disappointing. And I had saved that for last. I would revisit.

Not really what I'd consider an aquarium, but overall it was a fun place for our toddler. They have many beautiful birds and frogs. It's mostly inside, we stayed cool. It took us maybe a little over an hour(?) to hit everything. So not a huge place.

Usually packed but that’s pretty much expected because it’s the aquarium and everyone likes to bring their family, friends, & loved ones here. Honestly a really fun place. My favorite part was the penguins, and cheetah because they’re so cute! Nothing really exceptionally unique about this place but definitely a great place to go to if you like animals! Some places have AC but I would definitely recommend bringing yourself a little fan or using a pamphlet to fan yourself if you get hot!

I didn’t have high expectations for a downtown city aquarium. But I’m really pleased to say that my expectations were wrong. The aquarium was excellent, so many birds, reptiles, mammals and fish to see all really well presented. Definitely an attraction to add to your to do list while is Dallas

It’s an interesting concept as it’s not your typical aquarium but nonetheless it has some aquarium features with other types of creatures. Come early and on a weekday if possible. We came around noon on a Saturday and it was full waited around 15-20 minutes to buy tickets. There’s plenty of parking garages/lots.

  • 5/5 jordan j. 2 years ago on Google
The plants all over were a great touch and made you feel like you were in the same environment as the animals you were seeing. Also if you get there around 10-11 that's feeding for the animals and some of the animals you could see better when there was food. There's also drinks there for purchase and they were priced really well along with the gifts in the gift shop. Spent 2-3 hours in here definitely would recommend doing the daily pass for parking and not the two hour one saves you in the long run.

This was my second visit to the Dallas World Aquarium and it was much more enjoyable than my first. There was less of a crowd. It was easy to see the animals and I'm pretty sure I even saw more during this visit. I like how the aquarium is designed to appear opened and even some birds are allowed to fly freely. There were a few animal exhibits that I thought were a little small for some animals, however, I'm not expert. But all the animals looked healthy and fairly happy. It's worth a visit if your in Dallas and if you live I definitely consider going every once and awhile just to see if anything has changed.

Always a fab when we get here!! Clean facilities, great people and so much fun! I wish it was called the Aviary and Aquarium.. more birds than "water/sea creatures." 🤭 I LOVE that there are accessible restrooms everywhere!!! So much easier with a little one who needs one asap!! Overall happy ..

Magnificent aquarium!!! I haven’t been in years, but it’s just like I remember! It was a medium-sized crowd when I began and started to pick up as we got closer to noon. Parking in front of the aquarium was $10—all in all, great experience. P.S you must have a mask to enter the aquarium.

Enjoyed our visit with my girlfriend for her birthday. Large venue and worth the trip. However, it is very difficult to navigate all areas inside and all the different levels. You could easily miss an area if you didn't take the time to make sure you found everything on the map/brochure. Need to come up with some way better to follow a designed pathway from start to finish.

To make it short, this was well worth the drive from Tyler. I made the trip as a birthday gift for myself, and because I'd never seen a manatee in person before. The exhibits, the health and lively nature of the critters, and the employees themselves made this a day to remember. Thank you for being such a great experience!

Great place to visit with family and kids. Loved the forest like ambience and water falls inside, birds flying around etc. The place has a variety of exhibits other than just aquarium. Love the shark exhibit and penguin exhibit. Keeping aside around 2hrs is more than enough to enjoy the place.

Went on an outing with my son and daughter-in-law and a grandson (from another son). None of us had been there before. It was well laid out and easy to maneuver in my electric scooter. It was a wonderful experience and we would go again. One of the highlights was the tunnel under the water where the sharks were swimming right above us. I love waterfalls and there was a beautiful waterfall.

I would recommend visiting here. But I must say, the layout is quite confusing/unorganized. We almost left when we noticed another aquarium tunnel so we decided to walk through and ended up finding the whole other half of the Dallas aquarium which was really nice. We saw a ton of really cool fish like Solomon Islands (which those fish are super cool, their eyes glow in the dark!) jellyfish, baby sharks , a whale, a sea turtle, stingrays, and also saw flamingos a leopard owls monkeys, and all types of birds at the rainforest, it was super busy, there was a long line outside, but it only took 15 minutes to get in. I would recommend going on a weekday if you could as weekends are super busy with families.

Really nice aquarium . Don’t let the outside of the building fool you. There is so much inside the aquarium and you get see all of them up close. My most favorite attraction is Harpy Eagle. It look so exquisite and I have never seen a bird like it ever in my life. My kids loved it. Would definitely recommend it

Great aquarium in the sense that the animals here seemed to have more spacious habitats than the Dallas zoo. We did have to buy tickets ahead for COVID.... It was pretty damn packed though. I would hate to see how crowded it gets without ticket quotas. Definitely didn't allow for much social distancing.

Wow - this place is crowded with a capital C!!! Probably because we visited on a Saturday. I’d actually call this place aviary with a few fish, rather than classify it as an aquarium, but it is still really nice. Dallas is crazy hot during the summer and this is a good place to go inside and cool down. It took us about two hours to go through because it was so packed you couldn’t even move around. Just follow the thousand people in line in front of you and then if you want to stay to look at something a bit longer everyone starts passing you and you will be stuck behind them the rest of the way. It was fine. Fair price. Would avoid on the weekend. Not very big. Wouldn’t have taken more than an hour to go through but the lines were unbelievable.

Cool layout, but way too expensive for what you get to see. Loved the pictures/videos of the creatures that were in each exhibit. Didn't know there was a manatee and was pleasantly surprised to see that. I just don't think it's worth $30 bucks a person plus $10 to park. We got through it in less than 2 hours.

First time here at this aquarium and I expected a regular aquarium, but it was the most intricate and most unique aquarium I have been. The exhibits were wonderful, the animals were really neat to see and the pictures i took were amazing. Also my mother and sisters first time there as well. I think my personal favorite photo was the selfish with the manatee. I will definitely take my partner next time he'll love it. The staff was kind and extremely courteous and the whole place was clean and inviting.

The aquarium itself is nice. If you're coming from out of town, drive around the building where there is free parking! Paid$15, then went further and saw$10. Turned the corner and it was free. Please like this, if you find it helpful!

I absolutely love this aquarium! There are tons of amazing exhibits of birds, fish, and lizards, and even some mammals like bats! We even got to see the bats in one exhibit get fed during our trip! The aquarius is well laid out but I do recommend keeping in mind that there are a lot of stairs, including multiple flights at the beginning. Elevators are available but it should be kept in mind especially in a group. The food and drinks available inside were actually very reasonably priced, especially the frozen cocktails. A fantastic stop for anyone visiting Dallas or wanting a nice day trip downtown.

We had such a good time! It was my son's first visit to anywhere like this and he was amazed the whole time! We also took our 6 month old and she loved it too! The only frustrating part was that certain routes and areas aren't very stroller friendly. We can't wait to go back when both kiddos can walk!

What to say about the Dallas World Aquarium? We loved visiting this aquarium in downtown Dallas. It's perfect for guests of all ages, but it's always best for the little ones, as seeing their faces in awe is priceless. What's interesting about this attraction is that it is certainly way more than an aquarium. In many ways, it resembles a zoo. They have a restaurant but it was closed. Make sure to take your time when you visit so you don't miss a turn and miss out on an exhibit or too. Some floors are like a labyrinth! I highly recommend it!

This is an animal lovers wonderland! Their enclosures are big and beautiful and they have a plethora of different species to see. From the moment you enter you are greeted by big, beautiful birds and stunning foliage. From there, the walk through the aquarium is seamless and intuitive. You really get to see everything up close and if you come in the mornings when they open, you can even stroll leisurely and take your time. Warning: if you attend anytime after 11am on a weekend you will be close quarters with other visitors and will have to share views and shuffle through with the crowd. Either way, this is a wonderful place to spend a few hours in Dallas!

Even though it isn't a full aquarium, it is a pretty cool experience they have a huge variety of birds, reptiles and even dome mammals. The exhibit and the ambiance are pretty cool and make you feel like you are seeing the animals in their habitats. It is a pretty cool attraction but I would recommend going early since it can get hectic

This place is soo cool! First time visiting from out of state and this place did not disappoint. My kids loved this place. Love how you start on level 3 sort of the top of the rainforest and work your way down to ground level and ocean. Lots of cool different creatures you don’t see a lot of places. This is an excellent aquarium that’s just long enough to be an enjoyable 2 hours of fun without being so long you are exhausted at the end. The overall theme is central and South American animals, but they do have other themed enclosures like the Pacific Ocean aquarium. It’s a nice mix of aquatic animals and birds/reptiles/mammals. Theres some of the smallest monkeys you’ll ever see, and if you go right now there’s a baby anteater. I would definitely recommend this lovely aquarium.

To call it a Aquarium doesn't really describe it accurately. It is a nature experience that combines aspects of both a Zoo and aquarium. It guides you through multiple environments from the rainforest canopy to the ocean. It does a fantastic job getting you much closer to the animals than a traditional zoo, though it doesn't have many large animals.

This place was so unexpected! I have been to a fair share of aquariums, and I loved how the Dallas aquarium integrated animals, birds and some reptiles to the basic fish you may normally see. The line to buy tickets is beautifully lush and gives you a peak of what to expect once you arrive into the main section of the room. Your eyes will be darting around trying to take in the greenery and atmosphere. They have some animals that are super close that kids will get a kick out of like a sloth, which was super unique. I thought they did such a good job with building out the main exhibit. Once you move out of the main area it does become a bit more of the standard aquarium with fish tanks and such, but still a wonderful experience none the less. Definitely worth the visit of you are considering it.

Good place to visit. The building needs some updates and some of the animals/fish could use some larger cages/tanks in my opinion. But hey, I'm not a zoologist. Lots of parking for $10 or you can park a block away with a parking meter and pay in quarters by the half hour. The gift shop needed more variety in souvenir t-shirts! They are doing everything they can here to abide by CDC recommended protocols- but humans will be humans and bratty kids will be bratty kids.. Bathrooms were NOT clean at all and cramped. Watching the penguins get fed was an awesome experience!

What an incredible aquarium. This honestly does not feel like an aquarium, it's truly unique in its design because I also would not call this a zoo either. The aquarium is set up so that you initially start by going up to the third floor and progressively wind down the massive interior orinoco forrest. Major highlights include their orinoco crocodiles (a highly endangered species of crocodile that only a few facilities in the U.S have and breed), river otters, poison dart frogs and caimans. Once you finish the orinoco forrest, you head down into the true aquarium area, where they have tanks showing different marine ecosystems from around the world. Outside, they have penguins and several reptiles/amphibians. Heading back indoors, you will find another indoor multilevel forrest called mundo maya. In here you will see sharks, ocelots, various venomous snakes and morolets crocodiles. This facility has an impressive reptile collection with attractive exhibits. The fresh/saltwater tanks are all well-kept and aesthetically pleasing. Animals all appear to be healthy and the facility in general is clean, attractive and easy to navigate. I parked away from the aquarium so I cannot speak on the parking situation, however the entrance to this place has a nice mister that gently sprays water on guests. Masks are technically required here, however this rule is not enforced and very few people actually wear one. Expect this place to get very crowded in the afternoon so plan accordingly. Easy 5/5, I will definitely be coming back.

A must if you’re in Dallas! Hidden in the pockets of downtown, you could miss it if you blink but that’s what makes this three story space even more unique. When I think aquarium, I think of hushed voices and fish tanks. This place may as well be a zoo. You will encounter all kinds of animals, from gators to snakes to birds to fish. Be prepared to spend about two hours in here. We came on a Sunday and the place was packed. There’s not a lot of elbow room but if you’re in the right place at the right time, you can catch some really good views. This is a great spot for a date night or to come with the family. If i’m not mistaken, there’s a cafe and a restaurant as well. $26 VERY well spent.

This place is, hands down, the best zoo/aquarium type experience that I have enjoyed in the United States. The aquarium will create an amazing experience irrespective of your age group. It usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the tour. You will be fascinated to find how many species are there in this aquarium. My favourite part was the under water zone. A perfect place to visit if you have children. My favourites were penguins, sea horse, jellyfish, starfish. The place is following all covid protocols. I highly recommend the aquarium.

This is not the best aquarium so far that I have visited. But it’s pretty decent one, especially if you have a kid. Nice rainforest environment with many different birds and animals! Not only kids, even adults will enjoy too. It was fully packed when we visited. The Covid 19 safety measure was not very stringent. They are asking to put on the mask but nobody was checking out. The entire place is very narrow and stuffy and it was fully packed during my visit. They have bunch of interesting animals such as flamingo, crocodile, shark, penguin etc. we enjoyed the time.

A great place to see, you feel like you're in a jungle watching animals in their natural habitat. My family and friends had a great time. I wish I could give the place 5 stars but I can't, it's an aquarium that lacks aquariums. I kept thinking that at any moment I was going to turn a corner and the aquarium part of the exhibit was going to start. They have a large shark tank, as well as another large tank with an cool waterfall that has some huge red tail catfish and a section with about 8-10 saltwater displays. One of the displays had large king crabs which was kind of cool to see. Another display had Weedy dragon Seahorses which are also not that common. The coolest display had small cuttlefish with other small species like firefish which I did not think was possible due to the water temp needed for cuttlefish and how they will try to eat anything that moves. The rest of the displays were simple common displays. While this may sound negative, it really was a cool experience with lots of birds and reptiles all wrapped up in an elegant display. If you plan to come here to see lots of aquarium setups you may be disappointed so just make sure you have the right expectations and you will be good. This is a definite stop while in the Dallas area.

Tickets for 1 adult and 1 child was $49.68 and parking in the lots near the building was $10. The aquarium is smaller than aquariums that I've visited in other cities and is set up more like an immersive stroll through a tropical rain forest, especially as you start out. You are walking in a rounded space that goes from top to bottom with lush fauna and birds and water features. The aquarium with large traditional fish tanks are closer to the end. While this aquarium's scale is much smaller than say a Georgia's aquarium, where I previously had a membership, it's still a nice place to visit on a Saturday to get the kids out and enjoy what downtown Dallas has to offer! My only complaint is that there is a "timed" entry but I'm not sure if this was remotely enforced. The walkways are very tight and there's just not a ton of open space. Only about 10% of folks wearing masks so arrive first thing to possibly avoid the crowds.

Very nice place, not only an Aquarium as there’s also other things like birds, sloths, owls and snakes. Has a very open area to fully immerse you in the experience. A great place to visit for any family. A great morning or afternoon stop during a vacation or a special day with the family.

This place is great! The animals are beautiful! I had no idea the variety of animals/species/etc that they had. I would've preferred a more open space since it's so narrow you kind of feel like you need to rush in order for other people to get their turn. But other than that we really enjoyed it! Also they had a few owls and I'm obsessed with those so... I recommend paying a visit! Prices are nice and there is food/alcohol as well as a sizable gift shop at the end.

Very cool place. Here you can see many birds, trees and plants, various animals and reptiles. It was a pleasant surprise to see anteaters, there were two of them and they were playing. The green exotic forest and all the exhibits were well-kept and attractive. There is a paid parking lot near the aquarium where you can leave your car. I definitely recommend visiting this place.

We went at opening (8:30AM) and had the place almost to ourselves except for a few families. It was a great experience with beautiful animals, and we were able to just take our time. It did get incredibly busy about two hours after opening (10AM) but we had finished seeing everything by then. Was a little disappointed that the Ocelot wasn't there, but otherwise it was great.

Loved exploring the aquarium! It was pretty, clean and wonderful to see the wildlife. 🐟 However, we were disappointed that there wasn’t any vegan choices on the menu, not very inclusive. 😢 It would be great to see some food choices here that are vegan and gluten free. They have some sort of vegetarian options but without any sort of protein. Especially after seeing so many animals and fish. Fish are friends, not food! 🐟

It was cool. Got there super early with my daughter. Felt like we bought out the place. The animals are friendly and can tell are be token care of. The sharks had a sense of humor. They will try to sneak up on you as a joke. We enjoyed. Get there early! If not will be in a long line.

Greta for kids AND adults…loved seeing people On dates as well as kids enjoying all the animals. We got a coffee at the cafe where the staff was so sweet! We loved that there are more than just aquatic animals (although the turtles, sharks, penguins, fish and manatee are SO cool!) but also the birds in the aviary, flamingos, monkeys and even an ocelot AND the rainforest…so awesome! Definitely worth the money and time spent!

Family fun. Some animal exhibits were not open, which is disappointing for the price you pay. Have improved on flow of traffic in order to see exhibits. Pre-paid parking is recommended-by very confined parking area. Should improve and limit the amount of people allowed into facility all at once-becomes very chaotic with big groups and baby strollers in narrow/small spaces.

Absolutely amazing! It was my dad’s first time being in an aquarium, and it definitely blew his socks off! We both loved it and saw some very cute creatures! In the gift shop, a older lady who worked there was telling us about the big manatee and how she was a rescue. She was very knowledgeable! The staff at the gift shops were kind. Definitely will come back! The parking situation was kinda weird, we bought a pass while getting tickets. We aren’t from the area, so finding the place to park was a bit of a hassle. Signs would be nice! I also love they partner with many different animal rescue groups to help bring endangered species back! I’d definitely support in any way I can! Loved it here! I’d definitely buy tickets online wayyy in advance. Makes everything less of a headache!

Such a great experience! We took our kids and had a blast. They love learning about different animals and seeing the ones we've studied in real life. This place has so many to see! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, willing to answer questions and make your trip more enjoyable. The paths are stroller friendly and there are even nursing rooms if you need to find a comfortable place to feed your baby! Don't hesitate to come here with the whole family 😁

This place is so much more than just fish in tanks. I was surprised to find an entire rainforest themed experience with exotic birds, plants, and fish/water creatures. The layout can be a bit confusing but a very helpful brochure is provided that shows the different animals/birds/fish you may encounter and serves as a "map" as well. One will need to pay attention or parts can be missed. But, the tunnel under the shark tank is quite interesting and I managed to spent over three hours exploring exhibits. The snacks/food were also reasonable.

This was a great place to take the family. Lots of unique exhibits and animals. My only small issues were the price (pricey for only taking about 2 hours to see everything) and that there were not enough staff to enforce the mask mandate.

This was my first time visiting the Dallas World Aquarium. At check-in temperatures were taken. It was easy to move around the Aquarium and see everything. Visitors followed the mask mandate. It was nice to see more than just fish.

It was okay but I would not consider this an aquarium. For Dallas, I was expecting something bigger, better and more intriguing. The price of admission is too high for what this place has to offer. If you're on a budget, I do not recommend. This is more like an atrium with some aquatic displays.

Dallas world Aquarium is a wonderful place to take your kids. They have a wide variety of water exhibits for animals from all around the world. They also have a fair number of land exhibits -- sloths, jaguar, birds. Probably the best features are the shark tunnel, the giant river otters, and the main tank with manatee and turtles and giant fish. But they have a ton of great exhibits. Also, they have sea dragons -- the most fanciful of sea horses. The layout is like a jungle adventure. I've been many times and the kids keep loving it.

Where to begin. The "Dallas World Aquarium" would be better titled "Dallas World Zoo", because its more like a zoo that has fish tanks in the basement, than it is an aquarium. Of the impressive multi tiered structure, a small percentage is actually dedicated to displaying aquatic life. It took us until the third level to even see any fish, with the majority of the first two levels being taken up by birds and reptiles. The majority of the aquatic life on the third level was visible in the form of a single large pane of glass that allowed a view into a central lake-like display. The saltwater aquariums were divided into small, "geographic tanks" tucked away in the corner of building. The corals in many of these tanks showed bad husbandry, distress and bleaching. Many of the tanks had severe aiptasia infestations. One of the tanks proudly displayed two blue hippo tangs... who were horribly scarred and diseased. Many of the larger fish in the displays, namely several species of tangs and rabbitfish, had shredded or completely absent fins. There was also a relatively large acropora tank that appeared to have its lights either off or set incredibly low... with the majority of the acros appearing to suffer from a form of tissue necrosis. On the topic of lighting, many of the displays in the lower levels, whether they be aquatic or some other animal, were incredibly dark, to the point where you couldn't see what inhabited the display. Many times we had to just walk past a display because it was too dark to see anything inside at all. At the time of this review's writing, Dallas is in a "code red" status with Covid-19 infection, and the interior of the "aquarium" was incredibly, incredibly crowded. More often than not you needed to physically squeeze past other patrons in order to move down the severely cramped hallways and pathways. Masks were encouraged and "mandatory" but their wear was not enforced. The air circulation inside of the building is also very poor, and with the high humidity they pump in via their "smoke machines" on the upper floors, it can be hard to breathe in some areas of the building. Finally, for an "aquarium" that proudly advertises all types of salt water aquaria and brands itself with a mandarin dragonet, there was not a *single* mandarin dragonet that I could find. You would think that kind of creature, the mascot of the "aquarium" would be proudly displayed somewhere. I enjoy visiting aquariums when I visit different cities. I have seen aquariums all over the state of Texas, and I am incredibly disappointed with the state of the Dallas World Aquarium.

From the outside I was skeptical but once inside I was amazed of how great this place was. There was tons to see which I was not expecting. It's basically an indoor zoo that actually trumps other outdoor zoos in comparison. If you're ever in Downtown Dallas and got time to kill, give this place a try. 🐆 🦇 🦉 🐧 🐙 🐠 🦈 🐍 🐢 🐊 🦜 🦩 🐒

  • 3/5 Lori G. 3 years ago on Google
Due to COVID they have limited tickets and they are timed. However, it was so crowded that we literally shuffled from exhibit to exhibit. It's really more of a rain forest museum than an aquarium though. It was still nice, but not what I expected and the crowds made it hard to enjoy anything.

  • 2/5 M J. 3 years ago on Google
DWA is more of an aviary than an aquarium. I don't think it'd be much of an exaggeration to say it was 70% birds. Which had it been advertised as an aviary (or even a zoo), I'd have been more pleased, but I was really wanting to see lots of fish. As it were, of the 2 or so hours my husband and I were there, fish viewing took up maybe 20 minutes (including waiting for other groups to move along) and I didn't find most of the fish exhibits that remarkable. The sharks and the stingrays in the aviary were neat, but the rest of the tanks felt like fishtanks I've seen in restaurants. The lighting wasn't very ideal for a fair about of the exhibits. In the aviary, there's several dark/shadowed enclosures with bright light surrounding them and the contrast makes it difficult to see what's in there. Lots of glare/backlighting from overhead lights or other exhibits on most things behind glass/plexi, which causes a lot of reflections and making them difficult to see -- I had to suppress the urge to press my nose against the glass and cup my hands around my face to get a good view with no interference. We haven't looked at all of the pictures we took yet, but several have already turned out to be too washed out or obscured by reflections to make good keepsakes. Considering the pandemic, it was VERY crowded. The website made it sound like they were limiting numbers to allow for social distancing ("We have limited space, best to buy non-refundable tickets online before you arrive so you can get in!"). When we got there, though, a staff member at the entrance was asking people as they entered if they had bought their tickets online, and unless I heard wrong the two groups ahead of us and a few behind us hadn't, but the staff member told each group it wasn't a problem cause they still had "plenty of room". This seemed odd considering we had friends decide a couple hours after we bought our tickets the day before that they wanted to go too, but they couldn't get a time slot until much later in the day. I'm not sure how they were determining their occupancy (unless they were doing it on CCTV, there wasn't anyone taking a headcount as people were entering/exiting like I've seen in other places), but social distancing was not feasible for most of our trip. If I had thought I could've gotten a refund without looking like a jerk, I probably would have turned around and left after walking up that first flight of steps inside and seeing how crowded it was.

Haven't been to Dallas World Aquarium in 3 years, since we left Texas for New York. We absolutely had to take our children and parents to check it out while we were back for the week. WOW! They are "space utilization" to the MAX! The new little penguin river at top is so fun! Brilliant placement. The trees are all taller & nests all bigger. The clouds exhibit and the shark tank were great to see. It was so nice with the appointment! We got the time we needed AND were able to stop at the animals we wanted without being late or rushed by everyone around us. The animals were also a bit more a rice than normal, perhaps because there were less kids running by then normal. It was almost as of they were showing off for extra attention! The video we got of the manatee kissing the window and playing with his toy will stay with us forever! Great work team. Very clean, animals and birds look very happy! Thank you DWA!

It's a little unfair to rate an establishment during these weird times. But if you're planning to take a quick trip there to break up the monotony of quarantine...I would recommend waiting until everything goes back to normal. I've been here pre-Covid and had a great time. I went last week and it was somber. Staff was less than enthusiastic. Half the touch screens were out so we couldn't tell the names of the animals. Several attractions were missing. The bathrooms (at noon) smelled like outhouses & raw sewage. We were in and out of the place in less than an hour. Wasn't happy about spending that much money for such a lack luster experience. The gift shop is lovely. The entrance is pretty cool.

So on Saturday 1-23-21 my wife and I decided to take our three year old to the Dallas Aquarium for the first time. Since March of last year we have rarely went out of the house especially not for any kind of social gatherings. You know, because of a little global pandemic we’re all in now. Well, I checked the DWA’s website to see what their COVID protocols were. Masks were required, your temperature will be check upon arrival, and social distancing is “suggested”. You also, when purchasing your ticket, had to chose what time you were going to be there. On paper that sounded great. It’s going to be an enjoyable time. We arrive at our scheduled time and park. The parking lot in front of the aquarium was so packed, so that should have been an indicator there. But we proceeded in. Went to the entrance and was greeted by a young woman asking if we bought our tickets online. Yes. “Ok thank you. Go right up there. Which was the same place for those that didn’t. So that didn’t make sense asking. Unless it was for their records somehow. Then a gentleman took our temp. You’re good he said. Enjoy. They were nice as was the young lady at the ticket window. We start walking around and everything is fine. Then more people come in, and more, and more. Then “adults” removing their masks and not following social distancing protocols. It quickly escalated from enjoying a nice day with my son to almost having an anxiety attack because more and more people are being let in and just running into you due to space limitations. Look, I’m not bashing the aquarium. We actually love it. My three year old had a great time. Even though we were constantly keeping him from touching anything. But it seemed like anything else. As long as the money was coming through the door, it doesn’t matter. And with the “requirements”. It seems like it’s the attitude of the city of Dallas told us to put a sign up, but we’re not going to enforce anything. I hate to see that, but lately it seems to be the growing of businesses. Especially in this part of the country. So the question is, would I recommend the Dallas World Aquarium. Short answer, yes. But with stipulations. If you’re like me and have lost people you know due to the current outbreak and even more people have become seriously sick, then you might want to see when their “slow days” are. Or they put better admission protocols and separation guidelines in place. If not, then maybe wait to visit when the world has a better handle on this thing.

This was a great exhibit....BUT please clean the glass on everything so you can actually SEE things. Inside was worse than outside. Also...maybe let less people in per hour to promote social distancing. The entire place is so beautiful. We enjoyed it very much. The shark tunnel was my favorite !

Ton of fun and great place for the kids. It was my wife, 3 kids and me and we all got in quick and spent about 2-3 hours and had a blast. Pricing was not bad and there was something exciting to see the entire time there.

  • 4/5 Xin T. 3 years ago on Google
Intimate aquarium, with many well curated habitats. It was more of a zoo in terms of land creatures and water creatures ratio. You start the journey in a tropical forest with birds of all shapes and forms. Other creature included lizards and reptiles. The journey continues with different ocean habitats and concludes with penguins and sharks. Definitely stop by the 1801 Cafe. Very reasonably priced and the food is surprisingly good for tourist site food.

It's pricey, but during covid there is still a lot to do and see. We arrived around 1150 and left about 3pm. It's definitely hours filled fun. Be ready to walk. And wear something you can adjust the temperatures. One minute a spot is hot and humid, the next its cold with blowing AC. The Cafe on the top floor was great food. And for drinks, appetizer, and 4 meals was only 45 dollars! Gift shop isn't priced horrible either.

There was a mask requirement, however, no one was really enforcing to cover the nose as well. There were many hand sanitizer stands. The place is remarkably beautiful and amazing. I loved this place. This place may appear small from the outside, but once you enter the front doors, you're transported to another world. Each exhibit seemlessly transitions to the next. Level after level of cool creatures. It seems every single surface was creatively touched to become something beautiful or lush or to provide camouflage or simply immitate the nearest creature's natural habitat. It's nice to know that there are people in this world who care so deeply for the animals and give their time to help maintain such a wonderful exhibit. Thank you! I highly recommend walking through this great aquarium. There is so much to see.

Best.day.ever. I spent waaay too much in the gift shop but I dont care! This place is one of the very few places in the U.S. where you can go see the fairy penguins. Little blue penguins are the smallest of the penguin species! This place did not disappoint. All the animals were awesome, BUT, unlike what the website says, there is no time slot reserved for crowd control and staff does not regulate numbers of people inside. My 3rd time here and definitely not what I had experienced in the past.

The best date I've taken myself on thus far. Every bit had me smiling. Definitely recommend going on a weekday or right as they open on the weekend though to avoid massive crowds. There were a lot of people first thing Sunday morning when I went, but it was much less than the number coming in at 11am as I left.

  • 5/5 Megan A. 3 years ago on Google
We decided to eat here because of the view of the flamingos and sharks that you can see from the table, but we weren't expecting the food to also be delicious. They don't have a lot of variety, but the food they do offer was very well prepared and of high quality. It also was pretty friendly on the checkbook too. We would totally eat there again the next time we visit the Aquarium.

The place was honestly really cool. Lots of fish and deep tanks. Reptiles, birds, tons of frogs. The place was packed and no one was keeping their distance. My issue was with the parking lot, I got hassled for change by 3 homeless people. 1 on the way in and 2 on the way out.

  • 2/5 Mandy L. 3 years ago on Google
The place was a neat place, but it felt more like they used more space for other animals besides fish. I do not personally think it is worth $26 per person. They boast about their restaurants, which having more than one is ridicuous to me. They boasted about the outdoor penguin exhibit as if it was huge. There were 4 penguins, turtles, frogs, and snakes, I think. They boasted about the shark tunnel. There were three sharks. There were lots and lots of birds. It seems to me that Dallas would have better for the option of an aquarium. We were done walking through in about an hour. At the end of the tour, they had one room with smaller aquariums with different fish throughout the world. There were 6 or 7 total. It seems to me they should use their space more wisely to have these more on display besides frogs, spiders, snakes, birds, and bats. I think these animals are neat. They just took away from the aquarium.

Covid Warning! Very disappointed! Despite the website saying they are operating at a limited capacity and have timed entrances, the place was ABSOLUTELY packed. If this is reduced capacity I cannot imagine what it’s like during a non-pandemic year. There was absolutely no way anyone could be social distant. I was so disappointed that I put my family in harms way. If you are at all cautious about Covid, I would avoid going here. Even with masks on, I did not feel comfortable. UPDATE: I did speak to management and they were very respectful and listened to my concerns. He said that they were operating at 50% capacity which is 3000 people at any given time. So I think that’s helpful info for anyone who wants information related to Covid precautions.

Since I am stuck on a walkway here, unable to move due to the congestion and there (maybe) 3ft wide walkway. This is an absolutely awful experience. The building and landscape are nice, and architecturally it's aesthetic. That's is about it. It is over crowded, full of birds, and you literally cannot move. It is a waste of $60 for two people. Will not be back.

I’m not sure what I missed at the aquarium that other people rated it so well. It is 3 floors, the first 2 are birds and animals like a cheetah. Certainly more birds then fish. We sat in the tunnel looking for sharks we only saw 2. I’ve been to the New England Aquarium and the Louisville aquarium which we loved! If you actually want to see sharks and fish my recommendation is the Grapevine Mills aquarium, kid friendly, plenty of fish and sharks. Also a pool for the kids to hold sealife. I was greatly disappointed in the DWA. The people that worked there were wonderful and the food in the Mexican restaurant was good, the aquarium not so much!

The word Aquarium is a stretch but in a good way? It's much much more. My only complaints are the walkways are a bit small so it's hard to get around people with strollers or large groups of people in general. Some of the digital information kiosks didn't work and the QR codes weren't linked with anything. All in all my group still enjoyed themselves and I would probably go again knowing all this.

This place is a MUST if you are visiting fowntown Dallas. Easy to miss, but an amazing place!I have come here many, many times, and everytime, I love it. Not only do they have water animals, but they also have land animals like birds, they also have penguins! This aquarium could be a zoo if it wanted, but there is already a Dallas Zoo. There is so much stuff, sometimes I have to go back just to go see some more stuff that I just need to see but on the way I find even more interesting stuff. You won't get lost because they give you a map though. Eveytime I go, I come with my family, it's a great place to bring young children, and it's still interesting place for adults. It is all indoors and there is air AC! It's gift shop has many cool and fun things for children and possibly for some adults too. There is also a cafè for whenever you get hungry. You do have to wear face masks, but I forget I even have them on from all of this interesting stuff. The best thing is, it's not even too expensive!

  • 5/5 Megan R. 2 years ago on Google
Such an awesome place. Did not expect this aquarium to be what it is. I've visited numerous aquariums from Florida to Alaska and this is by far one of the best. Anyone on the fence about visiting should just do it, you will have no regrets.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit today. The docents were always happy to answer questions and help to point out animals we may have missed. The aquarium is a must-do when you’re in Dallas! The Dallas aquarium is tucked away and hidden from view, so you're bound to pass by it and not know you passed by the aquarium. It's 3 stories, with plenty to see. The kids love it, and during the weekday, it's not too crowded. Definitely will be back to check it out in the future

  • 5/5 Rebekah D. 2 years ago on Google
I took my mom, husband, and 5 month old to the Dallas World Aquarium on Saturday and it was so interesting and fun!! I highly recommend taking a few hours out of your day to visit the aquarium. Parking is about $15 and adult tickets are around $27, but it is well worth the money! You will not be disappointed.

  • 4/5 Janice Y. 2 years ago on Google
Pre-ordered tickets and parking prior to coming. Pre-parking lot was small and hard to maneuver in. Compared to other aquariums, this felt more like a zoo since there were a lot of birds (even monkeys) compared to aquatic life. Was cool to see sloths in motion. Our group came with a baby in stroller and while it was a lil crowded, was able to get around and take the elevator easily between floors. Was alright to see once if visiting.

Awesome animals. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We always have a great time. Multiple restrooms make it convenient when visiting with little kiddos. But pricey if you are not a member. Was a bit packed. Masks are required. They do have masks at the entrance if you forget yours.

This is probably one of the best aquariums I've been too! It's more of an atrium but it's great none the less. A must see place! The engineers who did the floor plan did amazing because you're able to see exhibits from all sorts of angles within the aquarium giving a great experience from anywhere in the building.

  • 5/5 Tad T. 2 years ago on Google
Affordable family fun. Bigger than it looks. Full of hidden surprises. Plan to stay at least 3 hours so you don't have to rush through the exhibits and miss all the fun.

This place was beautiful and the layout is amazing! You start from the top where they have birds and other animals, and then you work your way down 3 stories to the aquarium stuff. Everything you could want to see like sharks, Manatee, sea turtles, crocodiles, owls, etc.

  • 5/5 Melissa S. 2 years ago on Google
My family had so much fun. Clean place and filled with lots of really cool animals not just sea life.

  • 5/5 Pyrus P. 2 years ago on Google
I absolutely loved it here! The animals look well taken care of with the exception of the caiman (will include photo, they look super crowded in that tank). I had a blast, it wasn’t too crowded or hot. It’s extremely educational with almost every area having information about the animas and even additional information you can view on a smart phone!

The Dallas world aquarium is fantastic from beginning to end. The aquarium is layed out in such a way that you flow through the exhibits naturally in most places except for one or two places where you have to double back. I think arrows on the floor or signage could have directed guests to the most efficient route. I do feel like aquarium under sells this attraction. The Dallas world aquarium is a lot like an aquarium mixed with a reptile house a rainforest garden and a very small zoo. I think having a private event here would be amazing to everyone who came. I feel like they could have more information about the subject of the exhibits on the wall beside their viewing windows or at least the name of each specimen without having to scan a qr code. I do feel like scanning the qr code takes you out of the moment.

We always love visiting the aquarium when we go to Texas. Lots to see and the food is great at the restaurant on the 1st floor.

I really liked this aquarium. It was nicely designed, lots to look at. There was a lot of variety, from birds to reptiles to aquatic marine life. There was lots of beautiful plant life and it was mostly open air settings. The area didn't seem to house a aquarium, it was a surprise. My personal opinion: The only thing I didn't appreciate, was the lack of space. It didn't have enough room for a lot of those birds and fishes in my opinion.

Great place. My 2 year old grandson was so excited to see the animals and penguins and his favorite, the sloth. We had a great time too.

  • 5/5 Carbide T. 2 years ago on Google
Awesome experience, they have a great mix of land animals as well as marine life which makes this a very unique aquarium experience. The crocodile is gigantic and the sting rays are so interesting to watch. Definitely make your way down to the aqua tunnel where sharks and saw fish swing right over your head.

A little expensive, it's too bad they don't offer discounts for students anymore. There are so many amazing exhibits and it's a really immersive experience overall! Avoid the crowds during peak hours or you will be in single file lines through the whole tour

This place was incredible. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were able to catch a couple of feedings and ask questions of the staff, which was very cool. Definitely will be back soon.

The Dallas World Aquarium is a great place to visit exactly if you have children. They have 3 floors filled with different animals to see. Their also a restaurant and a gift shop located inside the facility. They have a senior and military discount on their tickets. The only thing that could be better is their wheelchair access. The spaces are very narrow and hard to get a wheelchair pass. Overall it was a great experience.

One of the coolest aquariums i have seen. This place is more of a zoo, not an aquarium, but still very cool to walk through the rain forest.

  • 5/5 Sacha C. 2 years ago on Google
TLDR: I recommend! Fun and interesting. $58 for two adults. **note: I have not researched the conditions in which the animals are kept. We went on Black Friday. It was very busy. Almost too busy. You mostly walk along a specific route. You walk through a rain forest as you see different types of animals. There are many glorious birds. Some are huge! There are birds flying around freely too. They fly in and out of holes in the posts along the walkway. THERE ARE SLOTHS THERE!!! There are spiders, frogs, tiny gators, huge crocodiles, a giant river otter that really wants to hang out with people, an ocelot, and then there a some fish. Some of my favorites are the fish with glowing eyes and the octopus. I wish they had more types of jelly fish though. There are tanks that have fish from different places all over the world. I really enjoyed that. It was fun but kind of short to me. We paid $58 for two people. I really enjoyed it there! (Other than the huge crowd)

Nice place to go on a rainy day with the family as I did. The exhibit animals were very active when we went which made it super fun to look around. One complaint, the restroom near the penguin exhibit wasn't in tip top shape, however I understand due to COVID staff numbers might be alittle low. Over all great experience.

Everything is clean, everybody wears mask and it’s a fun experience in Dallas downtown . The aquarium is built like a rainforest ,I am impressed !

  • 5/5 Cortney A. 2 years ago on Google
This aquarium has a lot of other wildlife outside of the water. There are 3-4 floors of outside features that make you feel like you’re walking through a rainforest. Birds are flying around, lots of open air to see the monkeys, sloth, alligators, etc. We went around 11 am on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. Once down into the aquarium part there was a large manatee, along with transactional shark features, penguins, and fish featured from various regions around the world. We spent about 2 hours at the aquarium.

  • 4/5 Tyler D. 2 years ago on Google
Wonderful adventure with large displays that are well kept. All the animals look healthy, and we enjoyed the vast amount of birds. We came on a cold day and it was still quite nippy inside. (Coat would of been wonderful). Also more labeling would of been nice, instead of searching through our multi-page pamphlet to figure out what something is.

This is a very unique aquarium. We enjoyed seeing all the exhibits and animals! It even has a lil cafe to have some drinks or snacks. We also got to see the baby alligators get there food! It was really nice aquarium

  • 5/5 Melissa P. 2 years ago on Google
The key is getting there early. We arrived shortly after opening and were able to move at our own pace (around two hours) without feeling rushed. The displays are well done and you can often see the same animal from many angles. The aquarium was clean and well maintained. My kids (ages 3-10) loved all the animals especially the manatee and sea otter! We will be back.

My family and friends that had came to visit really enjoyed this aquarium. What we liked most was being able to stand in line in a shaded area without the TX sun beaming down on us. We also enjoyed the bird exhibit while waiting in line to buy tickets. They offered us a military discount which was very nice because we didn’t bring it up. I think the only con is that we came on a busy day and you had to take lines everywhere. We had 3 kids under 4 years old and there was only 1 elevator and we would lose our friends quite often because we couldn’t take stairs. Other then that we really enjoyed all the exhibits and having the feel of walking through a tropical jungle.

Cool aquarium! It has a unique layout and there were lots of animals to see. The exhibits felt well kept as well. Like others have said, it’s very crowded on the weekend but everyone was kind and we were still able to see everything we wanted to (:

I had splendid time here with my family. It’s definitely more than just an aquarium exhibit. The architecture is beautifully and mindfully designed with a very immersive atmosphere. You first start at the top floors, exploring exotic birds and mammals. As you proceed downward, that’s when you’ll encounter the mesmerizing water creatures. Highly recommend it.

This was quit the experience. It was a lot of fun. Parking is ten dollars. There was a long line to get it as it was wrapped around the building when we went but it only took 20 min to get inside and it didn’t feel to crowded. The employees were great and friendly. I saw a couple of restaurants inside but did not eat at any of them. It funny they have aquarium in their main name but the aquarium portion isn’t as big as you would expect. It is worth your time.

I truly expected an aquarium. Was a bit disappointed given the word WORLD. There are a few small tanks Less than 10.0-that had were the fish were from but sadly the name is a bit misleading. Overall the place is great to walk around and see various birds, lizards, frogs TONS of beautiful plants and some fish-jellyfish. Good place for kids and adults :) Parking next to aquarium current rate 2 hrs $12 12 hrs for $14

Okay....here is a good place to start.....the ticket price is a bit high, the inside was obviously crowded, the humidity was tolerable but walk ways could use some wall fans, and several glassed-in creatures had scum on the windows and was allowing to see the inside the enclosure. There were several staff throughout but not any to help keep the crowd moving. Lots of visitors stop in walkways trying to either figure out where to go next or to wait for family members left behind. Folks, please just move over so others can get thru. You don't have to stop in traffic walk ways. So 4 stars for lack of movement assistance by some staff that were available to keep it moving or to communicate that as nicely as possible. Yes many languages stop to visit but everyone knows what "please keep moving" means. Maybe I'm too critical but at $36 per person, it was too pricey to stand still every 15 ft and wait for folks to move over. Now, the good....plenty to see....various animals, concessions for food and drinks and parking is available ALL OVER THE WESTEND!!! Don't be forced into a over-pay parking. I parked a half block away for $1.50. Took 3 min to get in line!

  • 3/5 Mike C. 7 months ago on Google
Pretty cool place. The walking path through the aquarium gets pretty tight in places. It was very busy, so I guess that's expected. We got there around 11am, and there really wasn't a wait. When we left around 1p.m, the line to get in was really long.

  • 5/5 Mikel H. 8 months ago on Google
We drove in from Georgia for a concert and decided to stop in to the aquarium. I was skeptical at first due to location. However, the overall architecture was incredible. The collection of birds, fish, and reptiles blew us away and made us feel like we were in the jungles of the amazon. Phenomenal experience!! Extremely well maintained exhibits.

Great aquarium! Very fun and interesting. Creatively decorated throughout to make you feel like you're in the rainforest. I have two complaints which I didn't feel negatively affected my experience. 1) It was labor day weekend so the place was packed, and we brought a stroller for our baby, big mistake, it was just slow moving through the sea of people with the stroller. 2) You are given a booklet of maps upon entry, and they are the worst maps I've ever used in my life, I like to think I'm a decent navigator having traveled halfway across the country several times before Google maps was the norm. My kids could have drawn better maps of the aquarium. Regardless of these two things, we had a great time.

The Dallas Aquarium was a wonderful experience. I love the variety of animals and fish they had. There was so much to see and a unique experience for anyone who is interested in going. Whether by yourself or with the whole family. I had a great time visiting.

  • 4/5 Erick S. 7 months ago on Google
The aquarium wasn't technically all an aquarium. There were tiers to the experience. Floor 1 was birds, and we had the pleasure of a toucan type of bird flying with us and through our party. Floor 2 was more amphibious/land animals and some water dwellers. Floor 3 was the huge aquarium, small aquariums (some were deep sea creatures where you couldn't use flash), then the one feature our kids absolutely loved was the Shark tunnel. You walk through the middle of the shark enclosure and can kind of see the sharks swimming casually out, and then all of a sudden, they're next to you! There were 2 saw sharks that were ginormous and very cool to see. It was a fantastic time and worth the trip! The Penguins were a huge deal to but off to the side, and not many people visited them.

Went here with the family and loved it. Even as you're standing in line there are exhibits to see which is a blessing with two small children. Even though it was a long line it moved quite quickly. I would recommend buying tickets online before hand as that really expedited getting inside. Flow was great and really prevented bottlenecks which are so prevalent. Loved the sloths, penguins and glow in the dark (bioluminescent) jellyfish. Definitely worth a return visit.

  • 5/5 Kristen S. 5 months ago on Google
I’ve been to a lot of aquariums and this by far makes my top 3 if not number 1. You are immersed in what feels like a rainforest with exhibits at every bend. It’s not just the tank after tank look you get at most places. There truly is a wide variety of sea life and more to look at.

  • 5/5 Scott T. 5 months ago on Google
OMG, this place was great. So much more than just an aquarium. It is also part indoor zoo in the heart of Dallas. Lots to see and all on a single path, which is great when keeping track of kids.

It's a great place to visit for kids and adults alike. From the outside it doesn't look there is much stuff inside but once you get in it's a totally different world. It has been conceptualized really well. Lot of different species. There is a restaurant too inside if you want to grab a quick bite.

Worth to visit. Very well maintained. Super clean place. Smells good everywhere you go. Very impressed with the Sea World Dallas. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!!

  • 5/5 Krys K. 3 months ago on Google New
Has more non-fish exhibits and fish exhibits but that's ok because I love tropical birds. The open air canopy is lovely to walk through and it was not smelly, although maybe that's because it's winter. Animals look well cared for and for the most part have plenty of space. Highlights were the sloths, ocelot, manatee, owls, and the sawfish that decided to chill out right on top of the tunnel. It's also really nice that most of the small window enclosures have stickers of the animals so you know what to look for.

  • 5/5 Erin H. 3 months ago on Google New
There are so many animals to see! Much more than an aquarium. The inside is BEAUTIFUL. It has a tropical rainforest feel. It has 3 levels on the inside. We really enjoyed the manatee. She was HUGE.

We visited Dallas World Aquarium on a six hour layover and had a fantastic experience. We were traveling with a service dog and every employee was so helpful! They stamped my hand so my service dog could exit for pet relief. I could tell the employees really cared that we were having a good time. Of note, they give claim check tickets for your luggage if you’re traveling with bags. For patrons with autism or sensory processing issues, there is a very calming, quiet space with low lighting and barriers between individual private resting areas. 10/10 recommend.

Such a great place! I’m really not sure why there are any negative reviews. We went on a Saturday and while it was busy, it wasn’t so packed like other reviewers complained about. I would not recommend bringing a stroller because some of the walk ways are more narrow. We brought a chest carrier for our baby and it was perfect! Super cool place. We will for sure be coming back when we visit Texas again.
