I finally went to this restaurant after my friend who went with my family last time said it was great but frankly i was very disappointed. We walked in and my friend said we had a booking, the older staff member said for how many and she said two. The younger staff intercepted and said they already have a booking. I think it just spiral downhill from there. The older staff member took us to our table, took out the seat for my friend but left me to pull out my seat. Whether it was because she was a woman, i thought wow. I had to call young staff member over to order our drinks and then the older staff member came after we signal to come over to order and did not mention the specials yet mention it to every other diner adjacent to us. I had to ask him to consider it. When we received the meal, we both tried to get the older staff member attention yet failed so i had to go over and ask the younger staff member to come over to fulfill my request. Its makes me wonder because my friend and I were dressed casually in comparison to other diners who were more well dressed that we didnt deserve to get the same attention. After we finish the meal, we decided to leave as it got too noisy in there and we knew if we were going to be attended to before, we have no such chance being busy. Good points, the bread rolls were yummy and so were the mocktails. The young waitress gave me another bread roll, which i was really thankful. Honestly, the service was quite average and the older staff member either needs to get some situational awareness training or apply elsewhere that is not hospitality. I work hard just to dine in somewhere fancy but need to get the service i paid for.

- Salt & lemon pepper calamari, fennel, cucumber, iceberg salad, basil aioli $24 - Gnocchi All’Amatriciana’ spicy bacon, fresh tomato, black olives, Pecorino Romano $36 - Pappardelle, prawn & WA scampi, cherry tomato, lobster bisque $42 - Confit Maryland duck, green peas, pancetta, jus $40 - Chargrilled Gippsland 250g eye fillet steak, sautéed spinach, silky mash potato,brandy peppercorn sauce $49 A very disappointing experience at Sette Bello. The waiting time was insanely long. The calamari dish came first, after that we waiting more than half an hour for the next dish. We were sat at a table for two but there were four of us. It could barely fit all our dishes. Food wise, very mediocre. Pappardelle was nice but it had shell in it the steak was burnt and tasted bitter. The mash potato was grainy. Overall, poor service, overpriced and mediocre food quality.

We really enjoyed our food albeit it was a little salty. Can’t fault with the service and ambience of this nice little suburban restaurant. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. She helped to choose our entrees and they were great picks. This is the third time I’m patronising this restaurant and it won’t be the last.

Food was great, service was good and the vibes restaurant usually gets quite full and lively but not too loud or anything. Last time I visited few years ago I didn’t leave amazed but this time was really good. Every dish including their tiramisu and cocktails were all so good. The pastas we ordered were so good too. Did not leave any leftover.

Sette Bello has made it's mark as an Italian restaurant since 2009. Chef Joe Di Cintio is no longer there but Sette Bello is keeping up the reputation of serving fine Italian cuisine in Glen Waverly. On a recent visit I enjoyed a top three course a la carte dinner. Marinated olives, Lobster Mac and cheese croquettes and the Asparagus tart. For mains I opted for the Rigatoni alla Norma while my partner chose the Morton Bay Bug papperdelle. All produce was fresh, beautifully prepared and presented. The service was surprisingly quick for a busy Friday night. Highly recommended

Top class service + Quality modern Italian. What’s more to ask for. Some fine dining restaurants can’t match such quality service and food. Standout dishes include, oysters, eggplant parma, and especially the pappadelle with scampi! We all said we will definitely come back again!

Delicious meal. Steak was cooked perfectly. Dined with a party of 15. Meals came out all together. Courses were well timed. Accommodated allergies very well. A most enjoyable meal and experience. Service dog friendly.

Hidden away restaurant and the ambience is good as well as service but we found that all 3 mains we ordered were quite salty. I don't know if it's just our taste but was significantly saltier than our usual experience at Italian places.

Absolutely terrific! Very tasty food, friendly service (can get very busy - always a good sign), and lovely flavours. Prices are ok - not cheap, but worth it.

We had our Valentine's day dinner here yesterday. Left feeling extremely satisfied and full. Well worth the price for just the food alone. To add, the service was fantastic. Have already recommended to friends and told my partner I'd love to come back again.

Delicious foods beautifully prepared and presented. Great friendly service. Large venue great for families and friends. A bit noisy at times for dining couples and small groups. Suggestion to management: Please install brighter lights around entrance as it was very dark, the wooden steps slippery and paving tiles uneven.

Our third time here - this time for my husband’s 50th birthday dinner for two! The service - always impeccable, our meals & the ambience - did not disappoint, couldn’t fault anything… Our meals were deliziosi, everything was cooked to perfection, soft, tender, moist, fresh & flavoursome. Dessert was buonissimo.. Very high standards all round!

Had a great girls dinner here recently; food was full of flavour and well presented with lots of colour on the plate. Lovely, warm service and great cocktail / mocktail choices to pair with your meal, will be back!

The first time time here and over all it was ok. The food was nice but not perfect. My $50 steak wasn't cooked as per request unfortunately. We found the service to be slow. It took a while just to be asked about drinks and to be given the menu to a point where we nearly asked for both. The waitress seem new, so that may have been the problem. Would we go again?, maybe but there are other options in the area to try as well.

We were a group of four and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Prices are on the higher side, Portions for the starters are small and so is the mains with exception of the pasta. I had the lamb, which was very soft and flavourful. Service is very good and a decent collection of wine.

4.5 stars*** Welcomed into a very bustling and neat dining area. Both the service and the food was excellent with dishes coming out relatively quick. The Gippsland Steak was a highlight - cooked as requested as well as the Ravioli; just melts in your mouth. Can’t say a bad thing about this joint really.

Has always been our go to restaurant for taking clients to lunch PRE-COVID days. So glad we're finally back to normal and can now once again enjoy a delicious meal accompanied by a lovely glass of wine here! Food and service always superb! Oh did I mention the freshly roasted steamy bread rolls?

Lunch at Sette Bello was a great choice. The Christmas menu had enough dishes to cater for everyone’s taste with prosecco being an ideal tipple for a Christmas toast. The service was attentive and friendly with our meals arriving in a timely manner. Our choices were delicious and full of flavour. The arancini balls that came with our bread rolls were a tasty surprise and a nice touch. The eye fillet was perfectly cooked. Salt and pepper calamari and seafood risotto were delicious.

We had a beautiful experience for our wedding anniversary. The food was beautiful, service was attentive, relaxed atmosphere. Well worth booking a table and having a visit.

Great service, waiter was so accommodating. We ordered from the kids menu for our 10 year old boy, and we were a little concerned the portion would be too small, the waiter said he would ask the cook for a slightly bigger portion size at no cost, and it ended up being plenty. He highly recommended the braised beef gnocchi to me and he was 1000% right, it was delicious. Will definitely be back again. A little pricey, but we enjoyed ourselves.

Absolutely amazing! Food came out pretty slow, but well worth the wait as it was amazing and so well priced! Staff were friendly and all the managers came round to say hi, but also do grunt work doing dishes which gave me a lot of respect for the restaurant as a whole! Food was phenomenal!

A very high-end Italian restaurant with a comfortable and peaceful environment, exquisite and authentic products, attractive presentation and first-class service.

Great good, I enjoyed the quality of produce, great taste and presentation. Service was pretty decent, not amazing but you could tell the staff were training and just need more experience to perfect it. Worth visiting for a group function if that's what your looking for.

Wonder Italian restaurant with top service. The waiters are all knowledgeable and know the menu really well. The food is really delicious, and make sure to consider the specials. It is always quite booked out so booking is essential to avoid disappointment! It is a very busy and bustling restaurant that stands alone amongst office buildings. For some lovely fine Italian dining, I would 100% recommend it.

Italian restaurant nestled amongst a business district near Brandon Park. Have been here a couple of times for both a weekday lunch and dinner. It seems popular for business diners. The food is creative and tasty. Service is always friendly and helpful. There is also a long room at the back which can cater for small functions. One of Melbourne’s best Italian restaurants in the suburbs.

This is my second visit to Sette Bello and it didn't disappoint. I must say that for local east/south east area, this is as good a resturaunt you can go to when it comes to service, presentation and food. Staff were very friendly and all the meals were impressive. Wine list is decent and would come here again.

Typical 3hr lunch type restaurant. Been here a few times during lunch. Wine selection is great. Food is sometimes great, not all the time. Pricing is pretty high. Coffee needs a lot of improvement.

Probably the best Italian restaurant anywhere in the area. Food has been reliably good for years. Comes with a price tag but good for a special occasion. Service is prompt and professional. The only thing is that it gets very busy and noisy with chatter. Not great for talking or relaxing. Recommended for the occasional night out.

Fantastic service and even better food!! All waiters were as friendly as possible without being over the top, frequently topped up our drinks when needed, plates and cutlery were changed immediately and just as importantly, the food was absolutely amazing!! You get what you pay for. Highly recommend for a night out! Will definitely return.

Ambience is good, service is great but food is average. I am not sure why would you serve a heap of caramelised onions in your fish of the day. Didn't enjoy that at all.

Good food. The arancini balls were fresh and crispy,the lobster roll was so good that it took me straight to Boston. The seafood pappardelle was delicious as was the ravioli. The risotto was too oily. We have had Italian food before and we know its on the oily side but there was a deep puddle of oil and could not finish the dish. We fed back to the waitress who seemed tired and disinterested. She said she will get back to us after talking to the chef and never did. Our experience was ruined because of this particular waitress with an indifferent attitude.the desserts were good but I was disappointed with the tiramisu,my expectations were high when eating at a highly rated Italian restaurant, I guess the coffee in the coffee soaked sponge was odd tasting. I would recommend this to anyone except for the issues we had as mentioned above. I am hoping that these inconsistencies are not repeated and I won't take away the fact that the food was quite good.
