After wandering around airport trying to find a place for breakfast that wasnโ€™t too expensive and had something I wanted, I was drawn to Bar Pulpo by my favourite go to breakfast- fruit toast. And it didnโ€™t disappoint! Great coffee too and not too pricey. Opposite gate 4 International.

โ™ฟโœ”๏ธ Wide open entrance with no steps, Isles are quite wide as well. Seating is a mix of stools benches and tables with chairs at a decent height. Staff here were quite friendly and easy going, was able to order easy at the bar and food came out quite fast! Food is quite expensive however but that's what you kind of expect at an airport for some reason...

I went to Bar Pulpo on September 24, 2023, when I was waiting for my flight. It has a really attractive shop front that attracts attention and draws people in for a meal and a drink. I enjoyed my Super Fresh Brick Lane draught since it was crisp. Service was prompt and friendly. It is a fantastic place to go and unwind while you wait for your flight.

This bar is located right on the middle of the international terminal and accepts Priority pass (up to $36aud). Good quality tapas but I guess that service could be slow when busy. Be careful with ordering as you could leave hungry or absolutely stuffed depending on choices made. A tapas sharing menu with drink for a minimum of 2 people looks great value as it is the same as maximum pp amount. Not sure why this place gets so many 1 stars unless they are not used to tapas pricing?

Dropped in for a glass of wine late night before a flight. Staff were professional friendly and knowledgeable. We did not eat but the venue gave us an impression of well-managed and detail orientated service

The shining point for me, was the wonderful service. Very friendly happy to give recommendations. Have noticed that peoples expections for an airport bar to be ...... Very high. We enjoyed the busy environment and where not fussed, in fact enjoyed the airport energy.

Great drinks, food, and atmosphere. Espresso martini has strong coffee taste, which I appreciate (the staff told me itโ€™s a double espresso shot, which doesnโ€™t surprise me about Melbourne, the coffee snob city). Sangria is delicious. Will be my go to bar whenever Iโ€™m at Melbourne airport

Excellent value and quality eating and drinking spot in the international terminal at Melbourne Airport. Helpful friendly staff and good food at very reasonable price for an airport. Good serving sizes and quick service. Easily my preferred spot to wait for a flight.

A nice place to enjoy a quick bite before a flight. It is a bit pricey, but less crowded so you can enjoy your meal. The baguettes and the foccacia's are nice with some unique sauces.

Definitely stop by for a meal or drink! Alfred kindly checked with the chef if they could still serve breakfast even though they were getting ready for lunch service. Greatly appreciated the chef being so accommodating. Everyone was warm and service was excellent. Food was delicious and big portion. Nicely fed before flying!

From the moment I stepped into Bar Pulpo, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between cozy and chic, creating an inviting atmosphere that made me feel both relaxed and excited for the meal ahead. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the impeccable service, particularly from the manager, Alfred. His attention to detail, warm demeanor, and expert knowledge of the menu elevated our dining experience. Alfred recommended the perfect pairings for our dishes, showcasing not just his passion for food but also his commitment to guest satisfaction. Speaking of the food, each dish was a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were bold yet harmonious, and the presentation was nothing short of art. Itโ€™s clear that Bar Pulpo prides itself on using high-quality ingredients and executing each recipe to perfection. What truly set this experience apart was Alfredโ€™s ability to make us feel valued and taken care of. He checked in on us throughout the evening, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was to our liking. His professionalism and charisma added a personal touch that made our night memorable. In conclusion, Bar Pulpo is a gem of a restaurant, and Alfred is its shining star. Whether youโ€™re looking for a casual night out or a special occasion, you can expect top-notch service, exquisite food, and an overall outstanding experience. I canโ€™t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dining experience that goes above and beyond.

If youโ€™ve dined around Airports within Australia you will know this is a quality venue. Some of the rubbish served up in other capital city airports is a disaster. This bar serves A1 food options full of flavour & service by some young staff to match, impressive in such a challenging environment. Hats off.

The best food at the airport! The team is amazing and they even recognise you and your preferences on return visits. Love it! My husband had lunch there today and had to call me to say how impressed he was. Will always come back for an excellent experience!

Stopped in here for a break and some fantastic and good value food before an early morning flight. Great place with very friendly and helpful staff as well as fast, quality service with a smile. Great place for dining in between flights on your own or with the family. We had our two kids with us and they had the chocolate muffins with hot chocolate, while we had the eggs on sour dough and a croissant. The food was top notch and will definitely be stopping in again! A++

Amazing service from all the bar staff, especially Andre who went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. Minded my drink while I went to the bathroom, offered to bring my drinks over so I didnโ€™t have to go the bar and all around had a great attitude and fantastic service. Hospitality can be rough and people are very quick to complain over nothing and donโ€™t give staff the credit they deserve. 10/10!

Utterly rubbish. You canโ€™t advertise sourdough toast with your breakfast and serve this. Breakfast was cold and tasteless. Not what you expect from a โ€˜reputableโ€™ brand.

I have recently had occasion to travel again and had a meal at Movida Bar Pulpo at the airport. As a key player in the Melbourne restaurant scene for many years this outpost at the airport has all the hallmarks and authenticity of their other fabulous restaurants. The menu had all the classics and the meatballs with a glass of sangria came straight from Spain via marvellous Melbourne. The staff were very helpful and pleasant in spite of being very busy and it was a joy to sit in the space out of the madness of the newly reopened airport and take it all in, in an oasis of fun style and quality.

Breakfast was top quality, small menu with little variety but what they do do, they do well. Service left something to be desired but chalked up to one individual, would hope itโ€™s not reflective of all staff!

Overall pleasant experience. Food wise, it's much better than most of the other options in Terminal 2. Service was welcoming and prompt. Ordered the Spanish frittata, and the lamb skewer. Spanish frittata was decent. I asked the staff if there were any milk products in it and they assured me that there was none, however my frittata came with what looked like cheese on top. I have meds for my lactose intolerance, so it's no big deal, but if you have allergies or intolerances, please make sure to be extra careful and double check with the staff. Lamb skewer: pretty yummy. Has a lovely charred flavour, the green sauce (?) complimented it well. Not much to say, just a satisfying snack. Both items, especially the frittata, I found to be on the saltier side.

What a wonderful surprise at Melbourne Terminal 2 (near Departure Gate). The food was awesome and we didn't mind the wait for our delayed flight. We got the Jamon and Cheese Croissant, the almond croissant, the Pincho de Pollo Al Ajillo and Escabeche de Pollo which were all delicious. The staff there were all helpful, especially Alfred Ramos!

Good spot to rest before the flight - delicious cheap/affordable drink options. We got a Carlton Draught, Rose and a White Sangria. Breakfast options are ehh, croissant although heated up, super stale. Cannot go wrong w a schnitzel sandwich. Food: 3/5 Value: 3.5/5 Ambience: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5

BEWARE when you tap and pay with your card or phone, always check the amount before you tap. I was nearly scammed for $30 although the actual price of a ham and cheese toast and Asahi beer was only $24.26 according to the menu. When I questioned, the attendant at the counter said it was surcharge! What? 25% surcharge in Melbourne airport, yeah right. I immediately asked for receipt and guess what.. the $30 on eftpos machine disappeared and sure enough there was the correct price a moment later!! What a con! And so they totally avoided eye contact with me as I finished my food and drink in the bar. Receipt copy attached. Food was ok.

I have ordered old mate pint and was charged $16 which is fine given airports are expensive but the beer I got was warm and when I asked the bar tender he replied all over the airport this is the standard temp maintained for a tap beer. I was about to give 1 star but the bar tender offered a can of beer for the inconvenience hence gave them 3 stars. Please ask the bar tender if the tap beer is actually cool or warm.

granted that it is not the same as inner city movidas yet regardless of bad reviews, this place always gets busy. i arrived at an in between hour, it was deserted and took a while before i got service and my food. but as i ate, the place filled up which also woke up the staff and suddenly everyone was rushing about! i had eggplant chips - you couldn't go wrong with that.
