I've been using this gym for a while with my Urban sports membership L. Elbgym is absolutely unique with a bold identity. Pros: * Great staff. I'm always greeted with a smile by everyone and they're really kind to speak their perfect English with me (language is not a barrier!). * Very clean and tidy. * They have the BEST lower body area I've ever seen at any gym. The squat machine where you attach the weight to your waste, is a life saver for people that have back injuries and don't want to squatt with weights on their shoulders. They also have 2 hip thrust machines and an inverted leg press! * Very relaxed people. The atmosphere is great. Fortunately, you don't have to deal with that crowd that spends most of the time on their cellphones while sitting on a machine nobody else can use. * The rooftop sauna is a dream. * It's never crowded, not even on peak times. CONS: * Shame the entrance for L and XL urban sports members is only 8x a month (although I understand why). The long term contract commitment (two years/one year or a very expressive flexible montly contract are not viable for me). * I wish there were some cable machines for certain upper body workout. In a way, if you're not into doing most of your upper body training with free weights, you'll feel you're lacking something. * A small shower near the saunas on the rooftop would be ideal.
