I am here to only review the pool. For 10k per person to enter, irregardless if you swim or not. The pool was dirty, the changing room and toilets were disgusting and located in an unfinished building. I should have known this place was a scam. The staff is rude and they ignore customers. Servers are no where to be found. I don’t recommend this place at all.

I can't support the price abuse at the door entrance to the beach. 10,000 just to pass through 10 meters into the free public beach. They send you to go behind their resort, where local mafia waits for you to try extortion. Not a good image at all.

I went for swimming and Lunch . Alot should improve 1. Pool cleaning , if you step on the floor there are feeling of sand particles. 2.the bath area should be well kept . There are water logged and accumulated sand. 3.around the pool theres space with moles and need nice cleaning 4.the waiters are slow need to improve to keep with customers

The location is good and the beach. The food tasted good but there The good stuff ends. A life time of waiting for the food, getting the food at different times and the beverage was not served together with the food The rooms were not clean, broken lamps all over, things missing like towels and other things and they did not even correct it the first time we asked. So the experience was not worth the money.

(Just a quick update) we were lucky enough to spend another wonderful holiday (Christmas and New Year) at the resort and I must say once again we not disappointed. My children really enjoyed the 31st with the live entertainment and fireworks on the beach. The rooms are very comfortable, the swimming pool is clean, the food is still amazing and the staff very friendly. Thank you very much to the manager and his team that went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful holiday. For anyone wishing to get away for a few days from their busy lives, I would highly recommend Sunrise Beach Resort. Anu and his team are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is always clean and the beach is beautiful. The food is amazing and the portion sizes are huge definitely worth the money. An added bonus is the playground for the kids. Will definitely visit again and again.

Sunrise is our second home - we don’t miss any chance to stay there. And today as well we had a day trip - about 25 of us - hospitality from the manager Mr Anu and the chef and others were excellent and the food was awesome - vegetarian friendly as well - property needless to say and has one of the best shore in kigamboni

It was nice staying there. We enjoyed Pool and music. Service was good. Enjoyed good food. It was worth to visit the place.

The service was excellent. If anything was wrong they immediately attended to us. The food was amazing and the views are fantastic. The only thing is that the whole place may need a bit of refurbishment and the pool could be a bit cleaner but other than that I would go back to Sunrise in a heartbeat. I really enjoyed my stay! 😁

We went their with our friends and we enjoyed a lot. Their pool is the main attraction and beach was also cleaned. We enjoyed yatch trip too. Overall experience was amazing.

Sunrise Beach Resort offers a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff. We stayed here with a large group. The kitchen was able to accommodate our needs and Anu was always attentive of our needs as a large group. There was security onsite, felt very safe and secure. Beautiful beach, clean and well up-kept. The restaurant offered a mix of Indian, Asian, and local foods and was always hot and fresh. Cleaning staff did an excellent job of keeping rooms clean and tidy. Will visit again with a group or a quiet getaway.

Spent 3 nights at the resort with family. Spacious rooms which are very comfortable (had to change one of our rooms due to A/C not working but that was a minor inconvenience). Huge swimming pool but the water was on the warm side. Beach area was beautiful and very accessible. Staff were very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Anu, Ops Manager, came to greet us on the first day which was nice. Food was reasonably priced and tasty. Breakfast was terrific with a variety of choices and some tasty Indian curries served with puri. We had a great time and would definitely return.

We enjoyed a family holiday at Sunrise Beach. The pool is awesome, the menu is extensive and the food is good. Our rooms were clean and modern, everything worked. The beach is good for a swim. The staff is friendly and competent. We will come back.

This has been my family’s preference for day out over the years. Best beach in Kigamboni. The food “was” always delicious and hot. However I was recently disappointed with the food quality and service. A basic fish and chips took longer than expected, after the long wait the chips were bitter in taste like it’s over -fried. The veg biryani was served in a plate as if it just came out of the microwave. Although we were craving for an afternoon tea, we didn’t bother ordering as the guests next to us were already complaining on how cold it was. Attention to details is missing sadly. Best to keep the menu simple to improve quality and service esp on busy Sundays. The water pressure in the shower was dramatic. It was harsh. Same with the shataf in the toilets. Shower curtains weren’t attached well. The pavement needs maintenance, I couldn’t walk without slippers, as the pavement wasn’t smooth. This place has potential but needs maintenance.

The endroit is amazing, the beach was clean and not so crowded. The pool was great, kids and family really enjoyed. The staffs were helpful. Overall the stay was amazing and more over Mr Anu were a great human he even replied and did his best help us at night 3 AM. Rooms were clean and great Thanks for all… Next visit to Tanzania I will be your guest for atleast 1 week for sure Thanks for all you did for us Anu🙏

We parked our RV at Sunrise Beach Resort for three weeks while traveling to Zanzibar. The vehicle was well guarded and safe there, we even received photos of the car from the manager via WhatsApp. We also generally liked the Sunrise very much, that we spent a total of 5 nights there before and after our trip to Zanzibar. The resort is located away from noisy, bustling Daressalam on a beautiful stretch of beach where you can have a swim and also take beautiful walks on the beach. You can freely choose your pitch on the large area and we were in the first row with a direct view of the sea between a few coconut palms and a gentle breeze. We tried the food in the restaurant and were completely amazed. Here, a wide variety of very authentic dishes from Indian cuisine are freshly prepared, which taste absolutely delicious, from chicken tika masala to lentil dal, paneer masala, fish curry and delicious papadam and naan. A clear recommendation! The best, however, are the very friendly and attentive staff, both in the service of the restaurant area, as well as the securities or at the reception. However, the soul of the resort is the manager Anu from South India. He makes everything possible, takes care of all his guests' concerns and there is no problem that he cannot solve quickly, competently and reliably. Be it printouts for tickets, money transfers or organizational help such as for shuttle services. When we came back from Zanzibar, he had already had prepared a multi-course Indian menu and ice-cold beer for us after we asked on the way back via Whatapp whether it was basically possible to have something to drink and eat after our arrival. The service here is absolutely great! Seabridge and overland buses are also happy to park their vehicles here for a few days when their guests travel to Zanzibar. So call ahead if there is enough space.

The beach is very dirty. If you were hoping for a nice bear feet walk on the beach this is not the place. Coco beach is a better option for that. The place itself is nicely designed in my opinion though.

We stayed at the campsite, which is directly at the beautiful beach and well guarded day and night. The restaurant serves very good Indian food. We could also use the pool, which is incredible, so big you can swim in circles. The service was attentive, and especially the manager helped us in all our needs. We really can recommend this resort. 👌

Well... honestly the place ain't bad ... it's super cool ...the huge swimming pool💦 just make it even better with the fact it's very veryyyy deep to the extent that it feels like you're scuba diving😹🔥 and the view just as aesthetic as it can be ..I mean such a wonderful coastal area with lashious scenery🌄💦 ...in short it's a place to visit (highly recommend)🙂🙃

We were camping, they have a large spot directly at the beach. Ablutions okay, with large restaurant at the beach. Can be noisy over the weekend. Large and very nice swimming pool. More rooms are under construction, the campsite could also need some renovation. Staff very friendly, site is rather quiet on weekdays.

Very good accommodation but very poor food. The hotel need to improve on food quality. I stayed here for 26 days but went for breakfast less than 5 times having taken a bed and breakfast option. There main meals were poorly prepared. Laundry services delay alot. It takes up to 3 full days for the clothes to be delivered back. They however have very nice large swimming pool with great white sand beaches. Their staffs are nice with kind and mindful hearts.

between 2023 and 2024 i have stayed at sunrise 3 times and couple of day visits, during my visit there was always a disappointment but also at some point good service was observed. during the stay: the ocean area bandas are small compared to the ones at pool area which are very spacious the room issues: during my stay either the ac was not working or the internet (which we complained 4 times and were told someone would come to check, until checkout no body came to check), or the shower which would just have a dop of water coming out, some rooms have no tv, the pillows were smelly the food: when you dine at the restaurant food is hot, but when you order at pool area food comes cold (maybe gets cold while in transit of 2mins walk between the restaurant and pool area) otherwise food taste is good check in and out: when someone tries to check in on given time and rooms are not ready then you should be considerate to give late checkouts to compensate on the late check-in because its not the guests fault if the rooms are not ready staff: no issues with staff, customer service is great but just an improvement if they are reported a problem they should provide feedback so as a guest we know where we stand the management should inspect the rooms frequently and sort any issues that are found example the shower not working is a basic thing which needs to be sorted immediately

We have visited the resort but it's somewhat disappointing that its pool side is different and if you wanna go to the sea side you have to cross all the resort. Anyhow it's a good and nice place for family and friends. Entry fees were 10k per person.

I Just Been there For the Waters, .... It's great, there's a dj on the side .... And weekends are Packed. The beach side is also Amazing too, and ummm it's a good place for kids too, Safe to plunge and enjoy the cruise in the pool.

The music is too loud. And they are poor in menu also the price of beverage is expensive.

It could be the perfect getaway for Dar Es Salaam residents: beautiful beach, restaurant under the coconut trees, pleasant place. Unfortunately they think it's a good idea to put incredibly loud music every Saturday and Sunday. Really, such a pity.... It's unbearable! If you want to relax and enjoy the beach, skip this place, really!

Dare Salam beaches are not so well known between the tourist places. But when I visited this place found it attritive and pleasant. Also this resort is economical and attractive and a fine experience to have

Looking to enjoy a weekend out of home and into the beach, this hotel came up as an option and ,to be fair, it was great. Decent rooms, great pool, decent beach.

The hotel is abit out of the city center. 2 we have a whole beach to ourselves. If you book a suit the rooms are soooooo big. There food was fantastic mostly th breakfast. Another addition is that they are sooo quick to respond to ther what’s app day or night there staff always smiling ready to serve honestly me and hubby had un amazing stay. I would recommend 100%

Located across the ferry in daressalaam. A place with huge swimming pool. It also has a beach side. Entrance price is reasonable for 10000tsh per adult you can have access to both swimming pool and beach. Just one drop point is that the swimming pool and beach are not side by side. A walk of 3 to 5 minutes. They have a restaurant serving good food. No food allowed from outside. Thank you sunrise beach resort for your services.

Everything is good apart from the Loud music at the swimming pool playing non stop near the Bedrooms, so it's a bit uneasy to rest. But rest of the hotel and environment is perfect.

One of the Biggest swimming pool i habe encountered in DSM. Swimming pool and beach side has different enterance. Has small huts for the visitors to sit in shade. The beach is clean. The food is nice and reasonably priced. Entrance for the beach is 10,000 and for swimming pool it's 15,000.

Had a beautiful weekend getaway there with my family. Our room was spacious and clean. Their pool is so huge and tidy. The ambience was great. The food were superb. The hospitality was out of this world. Big thanx to one of the managers Anu, for making our stay there beautiful and memorable. Keep up the good work guys.

The service was quite slow. Increase in staff number and efficiencies is needed. We had ordered milkshake for dinner but it never appeared. Hence improvement is highly needed.
