Beach.. Pool.. hotel.. Restaurant with affordable foods and drinks.. Nice location for pictures.. I would recommend it for sunny days for good pictures beach and swimming.. Was here on a public holiday and it wasn’t that congested.. Just us and a few couples in the pool

A reasonable but a bit over priced place on the beachfront in Dares Salaam. If you are lucky to get the beach-fronting room then you might have a good view but beaches here is not very clean rather is very normal. The food is just ok but better go out in town to find much better options in same price. It certainly is far from the airport and if you are in Tanzania for safaris then this might not be the right choice.

Giraffe beach hotel has a great view of the beach and a great customer service 10/10. I have been here a couple of times and didn’t like the food so i will rate the food 5/10 average. Hopefully there will be some changes on that. Its a very good place to have conferences, meetings, family gatherings and events. The environment supports all kinds of people from children to adults since there is a swimming pool. There’s also free entrance on weekdays, so don’t miss out.

Be cautious about being charged multiple times for the same transaction or overcharged in general. They double charged me on my credit card for a booking and after contacting them about the issue and a little chat about solving the issue they told me it's solved. It is not . A week is gone after they told me it's solved ( contact via email but I've never send one ??? ) and I've never heard back from them . It's a shame , I had a pleasant stay but it's definitely not okay and illegal to double charge a customer.

I didn't like being forced to pay before being served. My waiter said its their new policy. Its the worst service experience I 've had in a hotel of this location n class. Very poor. It has to change

We had a family reunion thst we booked at this hotel for a party of 18 . The hotel gave us several rooms . I must say this was the best hotel/resort we had in Dar. The rooms are very nice , open , airy with fluffy pillows. Although we got the ground floor - we cios see the sea water and the pool area. I can just imagine the views on the third floor. This place is completely sea facing. From our patio - we could see kids playing. The rooms had all the amenities, including shower gels , hot water with a good flow , coffee/tea , and they gave us extra cups when we requested. The reception area was awesome, the receptionist served us coffee – cappuccino- they even brought it to the beach !! Swimming in this beach was great … the sand is pretty clean - with an occasional pieces of glass. Waking on rig beach before sunrise was awesome . They have an extra fully glass enclosed structure facing the sea which was not yet operational, but we were able to stay inside and looked around. The view of the sea from here is spectacular. The staff is very friendly, respectful of privacy and space . My sister lost her expensive shoes in the beach - and the staff found it !! This is usually unheard of . The breakfast spread was spectacular!! Besides the wide variety, etc. it was their ability to accommodate our different requests . The staff were on their toes bringing fresh foods, made to order eggs, waffles , etc. . Although breakfast closed at 10:30, one of our guest came a little late, and the cook still made fresh eggs. Waffles and fresh coffee. They were truly amazing. You will not regret booking here . We are planning to come next year to Tanzania, and this will be our place to stay. The price was also very reasonable considering the views-and the amenities.

Ita a beautiful place, very clean. Right on a beach. So far beach is clean..but will see what happens during these 4 days. I am not taking any stars off but want to comment about restaurant. We spent there quite a few hours upon our arrival ordering different foods and drinks. There was a wedding at the hotel and front restaurant was occupied by the party so there was no access to that place. I am not sure if servers were used to help the party but it was challenging to get their attention. The concept of coming to the counter, order and pay immediately before they start preparing your meal is ridiculous. I don't know who came up with this idea but this kind of fast food approach contradicts with prices and a whole image of the hotel. Also with pricing when you get a certain clientele who are accustomed to room service to not have a room service is strange at least. I am not sure what the reason for this is..May be saving on staff? Servers were nice and tried to be attentive but there was definitely a shortage of them. Restaurant was basically 95% empty but even with this servers were nowhere to be seen. I could see people were flagging them..otherwise they wouldn't come to the table. In my opinion this should be immediately corrected. With that said food we ordered was amazing. I hope management will give more thought about adding more servers so people can have courteous table service..but not overwhelmed waiters not being able to do their job well.

This hotel is a great place to stay. Me and my wife have had a really good time here. The people who is working here are so kind and very welcoming and helpful. They are doing there best to solve all issues and help as much as possible. We can recommend this hotel.

Its a very nice hotel with great sea view and clean beach, rooms are great and the provide high quality services. Its a nice place to celebrate events with family and friends. Not only that but also it is a great place to relax on weekends and the buffet here is great.

Stayed here for a night with my family and absolutely loved it. It is a quiet and enjoyable place with an amazing view facing the beach. Their service and food selection was top notch. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax and unwind.

Good location and live band on sunday buffet, big swimming pool to cool off the heat. Only dissapointment is the prepaid service mandate. Basically you have to pay first for your order to be processed. For a hotel of this class its a shame.

During Brunch Buffet they don't allow Al Carte menu.....need to look into...not everyone wishes to have buffet.

The place is really nice and it has a nice view of the beach I would recommend it to a person who wants some fresh air also the service is nice

Beautiful setting, nice staff, but the grilled prawns was disappointing... Very little meat, cold, and tasted like they weren't fresh.

I went there to meet with my brother. It has been renovated and truly a lovely place. I would love to go there and even try the rooms.

The hotel looks new. The design and asthetics are awesome. Very modern and attracrive design. However the good stops there. I have the feeling thay whoever rennovated this hotel ran out of money and gave up after opening. Seems understaffed thought the staff were great. The hotel is still missing some finishing touches. NO SIGNS TO DIRECT YOU TO YOUR ROOM #. ELEVATOR FLOORS ARE INCORRECTLY LABELED. Its confusing to find your way. Its amazing to me that such a nice hotel would omit such important details. Breakfast was awful. Grounds of the hotel are well kept, but the beach is disgusting. Trash everywhere. It looks more like a garbage dump than a beach. Very sad. Doesnt seem that the hotel makes any effort to clean the trash, although im not sure it would make much difference. If you want to go and swim in the ocean, think again, this is not the place. ALSO!!!....Hotel pool is open from 8-6. So you cant even swim in the pool at night. Why does the pool have lights if you cant use it? Ocean is not an option, and pool has terrible hours. Staff at the bar was great and drink were priced reasonably. Overall i would not come back to this hotel or any hotel in this area. The trash is just overwhelming and the hotel is too underwhelming to bring me back.

I must say I was treated as a VIP by Restaurant's supervisor Frank and Aggy at the bar and treated to an awesome meal specially made by a new Indian Chef by the name of Sunil Dutt, that made me special Indian curry dishes that has not being made available at the Ramada and Giraffe Hotels yet. These will be the highlights of the already great menu. Probably the best Indian curry I have tasted in Dar. Great people these.

Very good Hotel super clean rooms, but music outside the corridors are too loud also menu is extremally bad , you guys should have at least pizza, burgers, chicken chips , etc etc

Excellent foods as par our need.manager also help so much for buffet as par our requiremnts.
