Came here for a late lunch. The menu has a lot of variety and priced really well for the options you’re provided. I was able to customize and substitute for no added costs. The service was friendly and prompt. Food came out quickly. It wasn’t overly busy when we went. Atmosphere is chill, not overly fancy but nicer than say fast food. Lots of parking for free out front. The seafood was cooked perfectly. My friend had steak and she absolutely loved it. Would recommend

Mic Mac Bar & Grill has to be one of my favourite places to eat in Dartmouth . I haven't had anything yet that I didn't enjoy . I had the Beef Dip with a Caesar salad and everything about it was delicious . The beef is tender and tasty with lots of cheese and mushrooms , I also had poutine , the gravy is sooo good . The menu is quite large and they have daily specials . The prices are fair . The only downfall is that they run out of ribs allot so I haven't gotten a chance to have them the last few times I was there . But I believe you can reserve them ? The ribs are the best in Dartmouth . They make their own ice cream cakes , I highly recommend . Staff are always so friendly and they all seem very happy to be there . Kelsey is a Gem , he's great . He is very welcoming , attentive , full of suggestions and information . I highly recommend. Two thumbs up for Mic Mac Bar & Grill :)

Fantastic service. And a variety of great food. I suggest a reservation but I was able to squeeze in at the bar. I started with the nachos which were some of the best o have ever had. I followed up with the Mic Mac burger which was a massive half lb patty with the fixings. Definitely a great place to eat and drink if you can get in.

The Mic Mac Bar and Grill was excellent. We were seated quickly, then were provided with both menus and the opportunity to order drinks within a minute or two. The waiter was efficient and personable, and he was back just the right amount to make sure we were enjoying our food and having a good experience. My ribs were perfectly cooked with a delicious whiskey bbq sauce and the home fries were delicious. My wife's hot turkey was tasty with large portions. The prices were reasonable for such a wonderful meal. We will be back!

This was my first ever visit to the Mic Mac Tavern(As my family calls it). They had told me of its history and the good price to taste ratio they've always had. Even upon entering I could tell this was sort of a known place as it had a small lineup but everyone in the staff seemed nice and took us to our seats immediately as we had reservations. We ordered a Onion Rings, Beef Liver, Onions & Bacon, a Spicy Black Bean with Spicy Fries and 3 piece Fish & Chips. The Beef and Veggie/Black Bean Burger were great as per my family. I had the Fish & Chips. While I won't say it was the best in the city the fish was adequate. The fries however were a problem. Overly salty and too oily for my taste. It did put a damper on the things for me but everything else seemed to be more than good. They do seem to have a big menu and good amount of seating space. However, despite that they are mostly packed and I highly recommend making a reservation. The decor is beautiful and has a nice blend of modern with the old. I can certainly understand why a lot of people have their memories attached to it and now I have one too.

As someone who absolutely loves Nachos - I have to say, the Nachos at Mic Mac Bar and Grill may just be at the top of my list for best nachos in Halifax! My family and I were thinking places to try for nachos and we were extremely happy we choice here to order Takeout! :::Nachos::: Well cooked with loads of toppings. Tortilla chips were seasoned perfectly in house which always adds extra flavor to any nacho dish. We added on the taco chicken - Highly recommend that decision! :::Deep Fried Pickles::: AMAZING!! Had with the Dill sauce, there were two choices - other was ranch. Perfect breading and seasoning. :::Sweet Potato Fries::: Again.. like everything they were amazing as well. Only down fall was there wasn't enough. It certainly was a small order for $8 or $9 I believe.. inflation I suppose. Take out was still a great choice and the food was still nice and hot by the time I got home.

Meal was amazing, service friendly and busy busy busy as the place was full! Very clean everywhere. Great dining experience! Can't wait to go back!

Best seafood I’ve ever had! The chowder tasted amazing and the portions are big. I was only 1/3 done and I was already full. Mitch was a great server and made my dining experience fantastic. Will definitely come back with family and friends next time.

This is the far best steak I ever had. I've been at alot of steak house in the US because that's where we usely take our vacation. This place is just in our back yard in the Atlantic province and the best steak to me in Canada and US.

We shared an app of mussels. It was devoured within minutes. Super fresh and didn't even need the garlic butter or lemon provided, though they were used. Our drinks were at our table before our server even finished taking our food order. Our server, Kyle, was fantastic. He was super kind and attentive. I had the Sunday special - 8oz steak (bacon wrapped) and lobster. It also came with two sides (I chose mash and garlic bread). The steak was perfectly seasoned. The lobster was at least 1.5lbs and was delicious. The mash was a great texture and amazing vehicle for the garlic butter that I didn't use (because the lobster was just that good). My boyfriend also had a Sunday special, but he had an 8oz steak with Digby scallops, wrapped in bacon. Potato wedges were well seasoned. He finished it in record time. Overall, one of the best meals.

We went to Mic Mac on a recommendation from a family member, the food was absolutely amazing. The service was great, although a little bit slow, but it was very busy, and honestly we didn’t need anything until we wanted to order dessert and it was only a few minutes before closing but it was no problem. Natalie was very nice & outgoing. She made our experience that much better. The roasted potatoes are fantastic! The au jus for them is so so good but we actually dipped our steak in it which was amazing. Steaks were cooked to perfection! The Oreo ice cream cake is to die for, we will definitely have to make the trip from Ontario back to NS just for this ice cream cake 😅.

Restaurant was very busy on a Monday night. Crystal provided great service! This is a very well run place. Food was quickly served and it was excellent!! Amazingly large menu which allowed every member of the party to order something different. Every table was filled when we arrived at 7pm and for good reason! This restaurant draws you in and then gives plenty of reasons to return again and again!

Me and my family went for my Birthday, it was a full house but that didn't stop us from having quick and friendly service. Drinks and food were out in no time at all and it taste amazing! My second birthday there, I could definitely eat there everyday.

On a Tuesday night for dinner it was super full so definitely make a reservation, there were 4 of us. Even with how busy it was our server Shelly was lovely, she was attentive and helpful, knew the menu well and was very quick! We ordered apps and 4 different steaks and they all came out fairly quickly and correctly, and they were amazing. Steaks especially were great portions, and the bone in cuts didn't feel like most of the weight was bone. All of the steaks were clearly aged as shown on their menu, being so delicious and so tender, we loved them! If you're looking for a great steak, skip anything in Downtown Halifax, especially overpriced places like Cut where it's all show and no substance. This is the best bang for your buck when it comes to a steak in the HRM. Thanks again Shelly!

Excellent online reservation and communication service. On time reservation with no wait. Temperature check, hand sanitizer and social distancing at the door. Great service throughout the evening. We reserved most of our meals to ensure we were able to get what we wanted. Excellent food. Highly recommend Mic Mac Bar and Grill. Great family environment.

Their prices are very reasonable and there is lots to choose from on the menu. I tried the surf and turf with scallops and it was very delicious. I couldn’t even finish my whole plate but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very family friendly but be prepared to wait in line as it’s a very popular place.

New look, old habits of way over salting/seasoning food that makes it hard to actually eat. Honestly guys why do you put that much salt on your food it’s unreal. I’ve tried your place at least three times now over the years. It’s a huge turnoff. Big Breakfast was amazing though for 26$ and could easily be split 3 ways. Steak was amazing!

We have been trying to get into the MicMac Bar and Grill now for sometime but every time we are in the area and try they are always packed or it is spur of the moment and we don't have a reservation. Today we happened to be in the area again and thought we would try. We managed to get the last parking spot in the parking lot. Since this was the first time we went there as a family we thought we would try a few different appetizers. We ordered deep fried pickles spears, Deep fried Calamari, and garlic bread. The dill pickle spears were crisp and delicious. The batter on the Calamari was one of the best I have ever tried (a must order). The garlic bread was honestly not what I expected. The menu said baguette which is why I ordered it but it was thick toast with lots of garlic flavour and a lot of real melted cheese which was okay but it could have been better if it were a baguette. For our main courses I ordered a mushroom and Swiss cheese 1/2 lb burger with spicy fries which was a little in the messy side but delicious. My wife ordered the spicy black bean burger with sweet chili mayo which she really enjoyed. The only thing that could have been better is if it had more sweet chili sauce on it. My daughter ordered a once piece fish and chips off the kids menu and the portions was larger than we expected. My daughter really loved the fish but did not care for the fries as they were a little soggy from the fish laying in top the fries. Some food for thought would be to serve it on a plate instead with the fish on the side. My daughter did enjoy my spicy fries though, which were more seasoned instead of spicy. I would like to compliment the staff on their promptness, and organization as we went without nothing. I also noticed that the staff were wearing ear pieces and mics to communicate which I thought was a brilliant idea for efficiency. Overall, based on this experience with the quality, portions and value combined with the service we received this was a solid 4.7/5 so I have rounded up to 5/5. If you have not been to the MicMac Bar and Grill I highly recommend you give it a try if you like good quality and quantity of food for a reasonable price. Keep up the great work! 👍👍

Laid back, no frills, fun atmosphere with amazing food and local drinks. A must try if your ever in the area. Sorry, no pics. Was too busy enjoying my 12oz striploin steak dinner. Update, went for dinner again. Was such a beautiful day we sat outside on the patio. This time I got pics.

I have mixed yet largely positive feelings about Mic Mac Bar and Grill. Customer service is paramount for me, and they excelled in this aspect with their friendly and communicative staff. The food was delectable and seemed health-conscious—a notable feat for a grill restaurant. I savored their renowned 18oz Rib Steak, cooked medium, bursting with a smoky charcoal flavor. My wife's Clubhouse Turkey sandwich had a delightful homemade touch. Despite some minor mix-ups with our orders and ingredient availability, the overall experience was enjoyable.

This is my dads absolute favourite restaurant, they have great steak, and a variety of options. Staff are always super friendly and efficient. I recommend this location ! After another visit the food is amazing and I have NO CLUE how the staff is able to just know everything about everything. I mean the variety of their menu and they know where everything comes from, all the dietary information, how It’s made. It sounds standard. But they know EVERYTHING 100/10

Was here for early fathers day dinner, it was quite busy nonetheless we did not have to wait to be seated, service was excellent, and the food was equally as great, the price was reasonable for the quality of the meal. No complaints whatsoever

O my goodness their food and service is awesome man,thai muscles and nachos were fantastic,followed by beef melt and frued ice cream.Hats off to lisa what an excellent lady with a ready to serve you attitude. Me and my freinds have delicious meals. I Will highly recommend this place.I am definately going back to try some more stuff here.

Had a good time with family and friends. Food was great, except for well-done steak, it wasn't consistent one was delicious & juicy and another was burnt a bit. My kid liked the cheese burger. Beef Gravy & Collard salad was amazing.

We have been here a few times now and the friendly service and amazing food is what keeps us coming back for more to continue with our supporting locally owned businesses. Tonites experience was by far one of our better experiences . Our order was taken in a timely manner , our drinks and food were brought out promptly and the food was amazing as always. Our waitress Kathleen was super and was always coming back to check on us and make sure that every bite was delightful . We even made sure to save room for dessert because if you have not yet tried it their deep fried ice cream and their brownie ice cream dessert were amazing . We will definitely be back for more again soon .
