Not worth a 1 Michelin star. It was my wife's birthday. This was known when we were asked for the Coronacheck. Service was average and quality not as expected. We were requested to have the same menu for both, so I adapted to my wife's. She was longing to try the hazelnut cake. At the moment of the dessert we were surprised by a small 2-people birthday cake. We thankful accepted it, till we were told that our dessert was canceled, since we already got an "unsolicited" cake ... that we paid

A superb birthday evening. An honor to the kitchen. Delicious, delicate, tasty dishes. We are French and love gastronomy. We found everything we love: - Impeccable and warm service. - an open kitchen, a pleasure to see the brigade working - a chef who even comes to serve his dishes - exquisite recipes for the greatest pleasure of our eyes and taste buds - the chef was able to make me like what I don't usually like: raw fish. - discovery of unknown flavors A big thank you to the whole team.

We did not make any reservations but were lucky to have a table. The service was on point. We had the lunch menu and non alcohol sparkling and it was really good. The price is highly reasonable for the quality. Would highly recommend!

We had a really great and memorable evening at Calla's a few weeks ago. From entering the restaurant to saying goodbye, it was a completely successful experience. Even when eating, every course was a new taste surprise, which was both visually impressive and always an astonishing but perfectly coordinated combination of ingredients for us. The service was always attentive, unobtrusive and charming. We can recommend it without reservation.

I really wanted to love Calla’s, but ended up feeling a bit let down. The positives: lovely ambience in the restaurant, classy decor, and beautiful plating for each course. Unfortunately, we found the food to be nothing special. The fish and duck were slightly overcooked and lukewarm, and flavour profiles were just average. The staff were knowledgeable for the most part, but weren’t particularly welcoming or kind. This wasn’t a bad experience, far from it, but could be better.

My wife and I visited Netherlands in April 2023. Calla’s was the best Michelin starred restaurant that we experienced in this trip. Both their food (including the desserts) and service were excellent. We will return if we visit Den Haag again.

Went there together with my son who works in another michelinstar restaurant. We loved the food here and had a pleasant conversation with the maitre. Excellent food and service!

An all round fantastic experience, the food was inventive and so full of flavour, I can see why he has a *! It was bringing smiles to my face with each course. The lovely, attentive staff really completed the experience though, suggesting a beautiful wine and really making me feel at home

Had a delicious lunch! What a party that was. Delicious dishes with nice matching wines and top service.

I actually want to give 3.5 stars. It was really good food, but all in all we were not blown away. The service was of an insufficient level, in fact there was only one top person who had to keep things running. I know better restaurants in this category in DH.

We had a really nice evening from la table du chef where we could choose either 4,5,6 or 7 Dishes. We decided to take 5 dishes which was more than enough . Dishes were perfectly executed, our favorite was the crabe dish closely followed by the scallop's tart. Everything was really tasty and well balanced. The service was friendly and wine explanations very thorough. Highly recommended !

Amazing experience. Great food with delicious wine pairings. You can feel and hear the passion from the waiting staff when they talk about the dishes and the wines they serve with these dishes. Absolutely top notch. The staff members were just perfect from the minute I entered until the moment I left.

lunch of nine yummy surprises, each of which tailored to the plethora of dietary restrictions/preferences we had. the juicy porcini and diversity of both sweet & pastry treats translated the chef's versatility well. overall a pretty neat choice for special occasions. :)

Everything perfect. To be honest, the food was great (we had the Prestige menu, 7 courses, 140 euros - absolutely fair price!!), the wine arrangement was absolutely on point and at 84 euros (6 - really suitable - wines and 1 x brilliant beer with the oysters) really inexpensive. The service impressed with competence and unfeigned friendliness and attentiveness and the dishes were great. Oysters with beer as a pairing? Yes, that hit the nail on the head, super tasty! Saddle of hare, cooked to perfection and still tasting like game, with various variations of beetroot. Vegetables like Jerusalem artichokes with tonka beans, really great. We both come from that upscale gastronomy and that was once again proof that a 1-star restaurant can be absolutely great. It was a successful evening all around. Many thanks to the Callas team. I like dining, but usually I go to more affordable places. This experience is one I will never forget though. A perfect place for a special occasion. Exquisite food. Friendly waiters, and good service. There are all sorts of ingredients you will have a hard time finding in stores. This was a culinary feast as I experienced tastes I did not had before. A variety of "little surprises", appetizers before the food arrived were very tasty and interesting. The combinations of tastes used in the dishes was a unique experience for me. Well worth the money! Though, as can be expected, the dishes are small, we left satisfied and not craving more.

Exactly how a Michelin star restaurant should be, not one course did disappoint. Wine pairing menu was also really nice. Staff is friendly. We were there for my birthday celebration and they also had a nice surprise!

Poor experience, mediocre service. The tables lack any kind of intimacy (they are practically arranged in a big circle on top of a staircase). We had to search for a waiter to take our jackets and my wife and I were forced to order the same menu, as all menu options were for a minimum of 2 people... Knowing it was my wife's birthday, they tried to please us by offering us a slice of chocolate cake each. Well, neither my wife nor I eat chocolate, but we accepted the kind gesture... not knowing that they would not bring us the dessert we had chosen from the menu... using the excuse that they had served us these two slices of cake (not requested). We are used to dining at Michelin-starred restaurants and every time it is a surprise both in terms of presentation and taste... In this case, the plate decoration was absent and there was no touch worthy of a Michelin-starred menu. In short, a disaster. Not recommended...

A friend and I ate dinner at Calla’s recently. I believe we got the prestige menu. With the exception of one dish, everything else was delicious! The service was great. The Michelin star is well deserved. Will return!

Amazing dinner, but not dishes are equally good. It's nice they have a nice local garden for some of their veggies. Wines are good and the sommelier is quite knowledgeable. The interior is nice and definitely up to what you pay for. Not all star restaurants look as nice, but this one is definitely classy

We highly recommend getting the Chef's table if you have any interest in the food. The special attention, explanation and care was second to none. Also if you are faced with the dilemma of the paired wine menu, I would encourage you to go for it! Max will look after you. The paired wine menu maximises your experience. We had an amazing evening. Do not be fooled by the subdued and intimidating decor at the entrance, the welcoming is very warm. Bianca who accompanies you through the evening's journey was fantastic and makes everyone feel special. Thus ensuring that the atmosphere matches the culinary experience you are about to enjoy. The timing of the serving of each amuse-bouche as well as the courses is perfect. They leave you time to appreciate each dish and never feel rushed. Chef Ronald van Roon combines ingredients that you would not imagine working together. He delivers flavours that are unique, smooth, and savoury. The atmosphere works for this kind of experience. The music is at a perfect level, so you can have conversations without yelling which in turn does not raise the conversation volume at every table. The access to view the whole kitchen also helps to warm the environment making the dining experience seem more personal and intimate despite being on two floors. Overall, Calla's is a must. Worth every penny and holds a high repeat visit potential.

Such a lovely lunch. Informal but attentive service. An excellent wine list with good advice and good value to be had on the fixed price lunch menu. I'd gladly eat here again. A delight.

4 of us had dinner last night, and it was fantastic. We had 7 course and had the wine pairing. Everything was beautiful prepared, and very delicious. A very memorable dinner. We will come again!

An amazing culinary journey full of flavors and surprises. Nice, very competent service and cuisine worth at least 1 star Michelin. Perfectly spent 2.5 hours at lunch.

This restaurant is set in a classy and cosy room - though I found the bench seats uncomfortable -, with good though not exceptional service, and serves a varied and well-presented food. Two types of menus are available, which is not unusual, but neither of them offers any choice for any of the courses, which is a shame, and all the more so that it is not possible for guests seated at the same table to choose different menus. Obviously, the food is good as one would expect from a starred chef, with a mix of flavours. However, the dishes are somewhat uneven, some even being under-par, the desserts in particular. My wife wanted to order some wine for her as I do not drink alcohol, and the waiter recommended that she take the wine pairing, which was a poor choice. Indeed, this was a 7-course meal, and one glass of wine was served with each. Though all of them were good, this was excessive and made her sick in the end. While this was an enjoyable experience, hence the four stars, I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend, as there as other, non-starred restaurant serving equally good food at a much lower price.

Second time we experienced Chef's table and again we were delighted with all those delicate and tastefull courses, so elegantly displayed. The attentive and not pushy care of the staff was a real joy.

Simply delicious, I highly recommend. Friendly and proffesional staff, great food, beautiful design inside & peaceful. It’s the place to be.

Dinner at Calla's was just culinary extasy. The service was great, just as to be expected from a star restaurant. The different dishes were succulent, especially the lotus flower cookie, and the cocoa bon bon that was served with coffee. Calla's really deserves their Michelin star.
