One of the beautiful valleys of Karcı Mountain in Denizli, going into deeps up to the peak, the Ornaz Valley, a nature beauty is filled with creeks and waterfalls surrounded by large magestic trees mostly pine. An ideal trekking trail of moderate to hard difficulty, Ornaz presents an opportunity to be within the wild nature very close to City Center. If you dare to follow the difficult trail path which will take you up to Karababa, the highest peak of snowy Karcı Mountain as its name implies, up where the views are unforgettable. By the way, down at the entrance of the valley, close to the village of Başkarcı, there is a beautiful Park by the water stream with recreational facilities; picnic area, cafes, etc run by Merkezefendi Municipality of Denizli...

Nice, large park with a good-sized picnic area. The Karaçay creek runs through it. The name of the park is taken from the valley of the Karcı Mountain that the park is in. The park was renovated in 2018. There are many picnic tables scattered around, and a few gazebos or raised platforms. There are grills available as well but training might be needed to use those grills since a few people smoked up the whole place while we were there. There were multiple cafes though if you're not too keen on grilling yourself. We saw only one playground area and I think at least one other playground is needed. There is also a lookout tower a bit of walk up from the entrance. Finally, this is a great place for some walking either on the paved portion or in the forest area. A very nice and lovely valley which is a couple of minutes away from Denizli city center. The area is big and there are many benches and small huts for picnic with family and friends. It looks like a bit of Europe and the place is well-maintained.
