Tickets are free and are first come, first serve. Arrived at 9:30, and got tickets for the 12:30 tour. Have to arrive 30 minutes before tour to go through security. No bags allowed. If visiting during summer months or spring break, arrive at 5 am as tickets will be gone by 7:10am. Ticket window opens at 7am. Tour itself was ok... Not sure what I was expecting, it's a guided tour mixed in with self guided bits. After the guide says their script, you're free to roam around and read the information panels.. they give you plenty of time to read everything, maybe too much time.. there is a feeling of waiting around in between each room.. staff is super friendly but I do think the tour could be a bit more animated and interactive. Would I line up at 5am during peak season, no way... Off peak, why not. :) There is $12 and $13 (all day or $5-6 per hour) parking nearby. Walking distance to the capital and other sites as well.

We had a wonderful visit and highly recommend the tour! The tour guide was funny and informative and you get a souvenir item of two new pennies, one of which that has not been stamped. We went in June and got in line for tour tickets at 6 am and had no problems getting them. There is a limit on getting the tickets, 5 per person, and about 50 people go each tour. Make sure you read the restrictions before you go and enjoy!!

I highly recommend touring the Denver Mint. It's free and it's one of two US Mints that you can tour. I arrived at 10:30 and was able to get the last two tickets for the 2:00 pm tour. They even had more tickets for the 3:00 pm tour. (There are several things to do in the area if you need to kill time before your tour. The State Capitol Building is close and also does free tours every half hour without tickets.) You are asked to come back 30 minutes before your tour starts to go over rules and get everyone through the metal detector. The rules were pretty simple: Don't bring weapons, purses, bags, lighters, or cameras. You can bring your phone, but they ask that you turn it off for the tour. No strollers are allowed, however it's recommended for kids 7 and up. The tour itself was fairly short, 30 minutes. The tour guides were both informative, but definitely ask questions. I thought they were thorough, but they offered interesting details if you asked.

Can’t get tickets. So apparently you need to be in line at 5a because. It’s 1994. Nobody has time for this nonsense when you are on vacation. There should be online ticketing because it’s 2023. Hard pass! Don’t waste your time.

This free tour is informative and fun. You need to obtain a ticket before the tour and then show up a half hour before the tour starts. No picture taking is allowed in the building. You will see displays of historic information and coinage as well as the mint making the coins. You will come home with a free sample. Tickets can be obtained as early as 7 a.m.

What a great tour, especially for a free tour. Make sure you arrive early enough to get a ticket (they are on first come first serve). Had no problem getting tickets for 9:30 tour, but noticed that there were school groups for the 11 am tour and it was "sold out." Also, no purses or bags allowed - 2 people on our tour had to run back to hotels/cars to put those away. Tour guides were very knowledgeable and were great! The tour is the perfect length about 45 minutes and gives a good overview of the coin making process. Educational and entertaining all at the same time. Plenty of paid parking within 1 block of the mint, but beware the lots fill up pretty quick especially since the mint is only open on business days. I would definitely recommend it.

This is a review of the Mint Tour, not the gift shop. We visited on a Friday and arrived at 6:00a. There was a fairly long line ahead of us, but we had our pick of any time slot except 11:00a (it was already full). We chose 9:30a. You must have one person present for every 5 tickets you need. No kids under 7 years old are allowed. The tour itself did a good job of talking about the Mint's history, but to learn what each machine did, we had to ask a tour guide. Bottom line: everyone definitely enjoyed the tour and were glad they did it.

Why don't they offer online tickets like every other place in 2023? Everything else on our vacation was perfect and planned out months in advance. But we apparently missed mint tour tickets by 10 minutes on the only day we could go. They said there would be a sign out on the road if the tickets were gone for the day. With no sign present, we paid $18 to park to see an 8.5x11 sheet of paper on the ticket office window. Don't waste your time.

The tour was OK. People who work there were super nice and correct. I expected more rare coins displayed instead of art made with coins, which isn't representative to the US Denver Mint at all. The tour was shorter than I expected, too. There are lots of interesting things to talk about the origin of Denver Mint and the different coins that were minted throughout the years. Some recent proof sets were displayed too, which isn't interesting at all for a coin collector as it is not rare to find. You can find that easily on eBay or wherever. However, the experience was still nice and I can't expect more as it was a free tour. Of course, after the tour there is a Gift Shop. In the Gift Shop you can find all kind of merchandising. It was quite expensive though. They sell really common coins extremely expensive, I'd say at least 3 times more expensive than eBay which was something funny, but not funny haha... With all this being said, I loved taking the tour and of course bought merchandising as well. This is a MUST for every US coin collector despite all my critics.

Very interesting and entertaining tour. Highly recommended. Thanks Jason. Arrived at 8:15 to pick up my ticket for the 9:30 tour and spent time in the gift shop watching a 20min video about the Mint.

We couldn't do the tour because it was full for the day. They only give 20 tickets per time frame, 100 tickets a day.

We loved visiting the mint. Very informative and interesting tour. Well worth coming in the early morning for tickets! Our guide, Tom, was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing about the mint. We will definitely be back!

What a cool place to visit! Yes, the ticket system isn’t the best but fortunately my sister was able to go at 10:30 and snag us tickets for the 3:30 tour. They don’t allow pictures inside which is a bummer since they had a few awesome coins I would have loved to get a pic of but oh well!

Interesting and informative 45 min tour ! Michael had all the dad jokes and kept it fun! Get to see the coin making process. Tickets sold (for free) daily and sells out early. However, they never checked our tickets so… might be able to just sneak into the tour if sold out. The gift shop is really cool with lots of uncirculated and unique coins to buy ! No photography inside allowed.

We tried to visit, but they only have 20 tickets per time slot and you can't reserve ahead of time?! I only found this out after wasting $6 for parking.

The tour guy was hilarious and very informative. Highly recommend! Free but check out what cannot be taken in. There is no where to store you things.

Gift shop was interesting , but tickets were sold out very quickly even after coming quite early. I do recommend the tour though!
