Love this park. I've been running my dogs there almost every morning for the past 20+ years. Truly one of Denver's gems. The older historical photo is from the Denver Post/ City and County, 1917. It is captioned "Camping in the wilderness of Rocky Mtn Lake Park Motor Camp on 46th and Lowell Blvd, Denver."

Beautiful scenery. I walk the park every single day. There's a park for the kids, a pretty lake for fishing and the Mountain view is beautiful! You can have picnics there and there's plenty benches and tables for seating. There's even grills outside for you to grill meat!

Decent playground, wide open grassy fields, lots of picnic tables, several sports fields including horseshoe pits and running trail. Small parking lot but lots of parking around perimeter. Bathrooms were 'Closed for Season' in middle of June when we went. Lots of homeless walking through and sleeping in park.

Great location for relaxing. A little load due to being next to I/70, but overall relaxing Lake/Park. Caught a Black Crapie ( Mis-spoke in the video). Got lucky 11/6 with a few Rainbow Trout to take home.

Great place ton hill for a minute Or for a few weeks as long as you don't park on the parking lot (street is ok) and keep everything tight and nothing on the grass if you have e to leave a vehicle while you go somewhere. Ranger was a really sweet women

Rocky Mountain Lake Park offers various recreational amenities, such as a playground, a baseball court, and several tennis courts. Many people also come for a leisurely walk or jog around the serene lake, even in the winter. As an avid runner, I had a wonderful time taking in the fresh air and scenic views during my morning run. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this park is an ideal spot to stretch your legs and take in some nature.

This is a pretty decent park. In my opinion, however, it is somewhat distracting due to the noise of the interstate that borders the park. It’s a nice walk and pretty decent amount of parking. Hope you enjoy it!

Great little park for a variety of activities. There is a loop around the lake for walking, running and biking. Recent upgrades have improved paving and picnic areas. There is a playground, baseball field, soccer fields and horseshoe pits. Of course, you can take a blanket and find a place to do absolutely nothing as well.

This is a gorgeous little park overlooking the mountains. However, it is under construction, so not quite a pleasant place to hang if you’re not already living in the area. I would not recommend biking / driving to chill at this park.

Nice trail round the lake. We went fairly early Sunday morning. There weren't alot of people but the ones we passed by were friendly and said "hi" or "good morning". The sun was just coming up...beautiful Colorado sunrise.

Not a bad place for a quick stroll around the lake. On site are a few playgrounds many benches for sitting and viewing the awesome scenery. You can see water Lilly's depending on what time of year it is. Lots of birds to see and things to photograph.

This has that "old-park" feel. The ground is hard packed, and the grass feels dug-in and hardy. The trees are tall and wizened. Foot traffic is usually pretty steady, with neighborhood joggers and elderly walkers and the occasional cyclist. While weekends and holidays can bring crowds, weekdays are relatively quiet.

Nice park, but a little close to the highway for my taste. Found it hard to get lost in the sounds of the waterfowl with semi trucks squawk at a similar cadence.

This is a great open space park. The path around the lake is great for people in wheel chairs. It is paved and wide enough for people to pass. It is wonderful for walking your dogs. There are places with picnic tables and places to sit and watch the sunset!

Really quiet park. Yet there are a couple old folks that think they own the park. I'll take care of that. Seen this one old guy kick a woman's dog. So I kindly asked him to leave the park. He tells me that dog isn't on a leash. And I said sir that dog is very sweet, your the one that needs to be on a leash. Outside of that great trout lake. Few bass. Great playground for family activities. Restrooms were clean as well as the picnic areas

Such a diverse bunch of people doing a ton of diverse stuff. As for us we meet up with some people who were interested in purchasing one of our pups. Such a perfect seeing to meet with people to do this sort of thing. We are able to bring several pups& they can bring theirs if needed. The hardest part of raising a litter is having to say goodbye.

Nice little playground with picnic tables and an open area. More to the park in surrounding area.

A nice quiet park that has recently been renovated. The path around the lake has been entirely resurfaced. They've also updated some of the picnic areas. The loop around the lake is 1 mile. Perfect place for a stroll with the dog.

It was a great park... There were a lot of fish in the lake... They just weren't biting when we tried to fish there... The only problem I kinda had with the lake was the grass and the cat tails were over grown, and there were only a few spaces cleared to fish. But it was a very beautiful lake all in all.
