Pleasantly surprised! I was visiting from out of state and stopped in to get some cardio. Was not expecting much for a gym in the Detroit area, but found the place to be extremely clean and well kept. Locker room, sauna, and shower were likewise very clean. Lots of weights and machines to choose from, as well as a boxing ring and multiple punching bags which I have not seen at other Gold's locations. The owner was at the front desk during my visit and super friendly and personable. He didn't give me any problem whatever despite my membership being at another location. Highly recommend! Would definitely come here if I lived in the area.

I came here as a guess with someone and it was ok. I really didn't like it, too empty, not enough people. I am from California and things are much different there. They do have LA Fitness out here and that's cool, but some of the reviews on them aren't great either. Dirty gyms aren't my thing, especially in an Covid era. I am going to go check it out though. Another thing I didn't like, is the owner in the comments arguing with customers, like who does that. In California that's a No No. If you have an unsatisfied patron, you find out what it is and fix the problem. But to argue them down over their experience, is unacceptable, whether you agree or not. It's unacceptable and a huge turn off. You're questioning them like their experiences are only valid if it's something that makes you look good. So what, others like it there, people overlook things all the time. Or, those things, they didn't experience, but you don't discredit someone else's experience. I see now, for an owner to spend that much time zoomed in on reviews, he couldn't be paying attention to what's actually happening in his gym. And so what, you have the number 2 gym, you still aren't the number 1 gym. In the Olympics they compete for the Gold, not the Silver or Bronze. Unbelievable ! I can't believe you would go as low as to say, they are lying, because it doesn't fit your narrative. You are very unprofessional, and combative and I would advise anyone to look elsewhere for fitness. I've never seen anything like this before in my life. I won't be coming back. And again, I would advise you not too either.

I moved to the Detroit area in August of 2020. I was a member of Golds gym in SC, so I decided to keep the trend going here. Don and his team take great care of his facility. More than enough equipment to get yourself together. Don, and his team treat people like family. I’ve been in some corporate gyms where you are just a customer. Definitely not the same vibe here. I can see Don cares about people. Not only will i be leaving Michigan soon, I’ll be leaving a gym that feels like family. Great job Don, and his team!!!

This gym is an athlete’s dream come true!! In response to my online inquiry, I received a personal welcome message from the owner with membership info and a free visitors pass. As soon as I set foot in Gold’s I felt like a kid in a candy store. ALL of the fitness equipment is immaculately maintained with care and the resistance machines are actually laid out in a way that makes sense—one of my biggest pet peeves in commercial gyms. First impressions are everything and Gold’s nailed it. The receptionist was delightful and Women’s locker room was very tidy. If I could give MORE than 5 stars I would!! Thank you Don and staff!

Terrible gym. This gym is very ghetto and unprofessional. People here don't know how to act. People be standing around hogging weights. The owner Don is so unprofessional. One time I was thinking about what weight to put on the machine. He had the nerve to say "the machine is empty you can use it." Then you have people's kids running around the gym and being in the way of people working out. Only good thing about the gym is the punching bags. But I will never come here again.

24hrs, great place to get in and get it done without the b.s and frills you see in other gyms. Everyone there is focused on their own goals so you're left alone to do the same. Clean, diverse, friendly people and staff. Go out there and get after it!

This is one of the best gyms I have been to. The equipment is fantastic, great place for all aspects of fitness. From weight lighting, cardio, boxing they have it. The entire staff is terrific and friendly. The owner Don is as good as they get, he is genuine and cares for all his members and staff. I know myself and others appreciate his courage making the decision to open to help people with there overall health, well being and passion during this time. The place is always clean at all times, we are lucky to have such a great gym to go to, so we can do what we love and stay healthy.

My son spars at Gold's gym with K-9 and he is improving his boxing skills to the next level.

The gym , showers, Sauna are always CLEAN. The owner Don is a great guys and will assist you in learning how to use the machines correctly. He did me. They take silver sneakers. They have machines and free weights. They teach boxing, for beginners all the way up. I am just a customer with no affiliations with the gym. I honestly like the gym, and the people. I don't feel intimidating at all.

Have been to many gyms across the country over the years. This is by far one of the best. They always make you feel like you are part of a their family, not just another number. The owner Don keeps the place clean and is contuesly upgrades equipment.

Pretty good gym. Like that it's open 24/7 and close to where I live. The place could use some updating with the lighting and carpeting, nothing major. Overall, it's a good place to get your workout on 💪🏾

great gym. I was greeted by the owner and talked with him.. great guy! if I lived in Warren I would be a member there. The MMA , boxing event held there today was great. lots of free parking

The equipment is top notch. Unfortunately the staff is not. No one seems to be trained proficiently after looking at the reviews over the past three months I have nothing much different to add. I believe the majority of recent reviews reflect what kind of establishment this is. I really hope this place can get it back together.

Hey I love this gym from the bag work to all the dumbbell workouts I do always clean and tidy and the staff them young cats are always helpful towards me and others I’m bias because I love this place its always my first stop after work hey even the owner is cool and you can’t say that about all businesses and all of this is from day one I really enjoy this place

Visiting from Japan and did the one day trial. Spoke with the owner and got signed up. He toured me around the gym and showed me around. The gym looks great and seems well maintained. I didn't notice an area for stretching which would have been nice but otherwise it was an awesome experience. I'll be back in summer.

Accessibility, equipment, staff and owner or top-notch! So thankful that I have a gym that is community, family and goal centered right here in Detroit.

Good facility, a lot of good people too. Only I can be just about positive some employee up in there has been doing prank calls. Or it's a total coincidence that right after I left and right after I came back to visit months later, I had the same type of prerecorded call that masqueraded as one of my contacts, it only occured within those same weeks. And it initially showed up as golds gym. Aside from all that I'd be seeing a 4-5 rating.

The best gym in the Detroit area by far. Also, one of my favorite gyms I’ve ever visited regularly in all my travels. The staff is top notch but most importantly, the patrons for the most part practice gym etiquette and it is not usually very crowded. Most other gyms in town are just hangouts, people go to Golds to put in work.

Darnell White is a great trainer. He pushes me while also being aware of my limits, and makes working out a blast! Highly recommend him for any individual!
