It’s an older theater with smaller and tighter seats but the atmosphere and building are beautiful. We were here in December and the holiday decor was stunning. It all really sets the mood for a wonderful night out. We saw the Hadestown tour which was an unbelievable experience. Our seats, while in the balcony, still offered a great view. The safety mandates for the pandemic were all efficient and painless. The ushers were helpful and drinks tasty. There might be better theaters even in Detroit but this palace still presents a positive experience of culture and art.

We had a wonderful visit to the Fisher Theatre. Came to see The Band’s Visit, which they did. And then they left. The lobby of the building is a work of art. Theater reflective of the 1960s upgrade. Free parking in the parking deck a huge pleasant surprise. Ushers attentive and helpful. They should double the size of the ladies restroom to help ease the lines at peak use times.

Very nice, small, intimate theater. There are no bad seats here! Historical building. Food available, and fashion boutiques...and a pharmacy!

Beautiful place, inside there is a theater, few shops and I saw a lot of people coming to take some precessional pics as wedding.

A beautiful, historic building. We saw Les Mis and it was great. Not a bad seat in the house. A wonderful venue with great acoustics.

Always a delight! Loved The Band's Visit. Can't wait to see more. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ 🎭🎢🎭🎢 we don't take pictures from our seats because cameras are supposed to be off. 😊 Enjoy the shows!

The building has ornate features on the ceiling and walls. The theater provides a subscription service to numerous productions. We saw the production The Company, which was enjoyable. There are a lot of intermission snack and refreshment options. Parking is convenient. Women's restroom line was very lengthy because only one restroom for women was open with four or five stalls, so plan accordingly. There are a lot of restaurant options close by to the theater

This is such a great place to attend any event from plays to musicals. Good site views from almost any seat. The drinks and snacks are also a good option. Great spot for a night out. Can't say enough about how beautiful this place is. Lots of parking available and a short wait to get through security. Would recommend buying tickets in advance for the more popular shows.

What a gem! This has to be one of the most beautiful theaters I've ever been to. I know I went as a child and saw a few shows here but this was my first time as an adult, and it certainly did not let me down. This building is a precious piece of Detroit history and it has been lovingly restored through the years. The design reminds me a little bit of Kubrick's The Shining. Staff was very welcoming and nice, super helpful in finding my seat and showing us around. I was there for Hamilton and I get to return over the winter show season, I'm so excited to go back.

I used to be a volunteer usher in the 70's, before I transferred to California. Now that I'm retired, I moved back to Michigan. I love old theaters. The lobby of the Fisher is fabulous but the theater is underwhelming, in need of tlc. I bought the VIP ticket to the Fisher Lounge and it was worth the experience. I understand that the theater has been purchased by Canada and they plan to upgrade πŸ˜€ Parking was free and convenient, I'm handicapped β™Ώ

Ornate in splendor. Massive columns with architecture set in a time of great designers. Fisher body. Many exclusive intimate spaces for business and epic performances. Impressive decor. Concert plays best on ground floor audio wise. Not as acoustic friendly on upper levels for me.

Gorgeous, comfortable, open abs the staff was so kind, helpful and truly amazing. I will see all my shows here. Way better than the Detroit opera house.

I can’t believe I never rated this beautiful building. We’ve seen Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton here. The shows themselves are great, but you should walk through the building for fun on your own time. Neat basement with tunnel, gold everywhere, elevators & stairs, shops in the front. Well kept and create construction.

Laid out well for seating. Felt intimate had great seats to see fiddler on the roof. Love the architecture all in great shape. This is the 3rd time seeing various plays there, seating in different areas. Mostly great experiences

I will preface this review with the fact that I am a Metro-Detroit native with a soft spot in my heart for all things Detroit. In the past 6 weeks our family has enjoyed both Hamilton and Les Mis at the Fisher theater. The Fisher is an excellent venue for live musical theater. The acoustics in the theater are amazing. The walls seem to hold the musician's voice in the air (granted the musicians have been equally amazing). The only challenge with an old building is lack of and age of the bathrooms. For a woman at intermission you literally have to run at the end of the act for a chance of making it through the bathroom line. The bathrooms in the basement of the building were kinda grungy. The staff of the Fisher is amazing, friendly, and helpful. I can guarantee I will return.

Beautiful building. The architecture inside is breathtaking. Barreled high ceiling with ornamental pieces throughout! πŸ’šπŸ’―πŸ’―

Beautiful art and architecture. Coffee shop inside had very good coffee (mocha, lattes). Visit early a.m. for perfect street parking and cool weather. Bakery looked and smelled great but we didn't get a chance to stop by.. this time.

Overall my first time at this event venue and was not impressed. I do like the architecture of the building and the staff were professional and friendly. But I didn't like was the lack of lighting in the upper balcony it was like pitch black you could not see anything. The prices were also a little higher than I expected. I was expecting some kind of food and they had M&Ms and popcorn. If I'm going to a upper class venue I definitely would like a variety of food to choose from. And I'm not talking about Movie Snacks. Other than that was okay. Probably will not go here again though just being honest.

Very nice venue, a bit pricey for concessions, but what do you expect from such a nice place. Parking was free, seats were comfy enough, and the sound quality was impressive. On top if the pricey concessions, the A/C in the main auditorium was a but poor as it got pretty hot by the first intermission. Overall pretty good venue

Recently attended the performance of Mrs Doubtfire. It was funny and very entertaining. The Fisher is a beautiful old venue. I have seen many performances over 30 years. There was a problem with ticketsmaster issuing tickets for a 2 o'clock performance. The performance actually started at 1 pm The box office staff were very helpful in making things right. Good job!

Lovely old building- can walk thru and see banks of elevators and many types of marble.
