nice location, great food with surprising dishes and taste ! tip to the restaurant, people can be more relaxed

Very nice location in front of Deventer's big church, and close to the river IJsel, we had a great time walking the city center and biking along the river. Delicious multiple course dinner, and great ambiance for an afterydeink at the terrace. Comfy room.

We had a fabulous dinner at Hotel Huis Vermeer. Very friendly and competent staff serve wonderful food. The cooks certainly know how to combine unique flavours. Absolute top ambiance. Prices are very reasonable for the quality which is offered. It won't be for long before Deventer's best restaurant will receive its first Michelin star. My compliments for young owner Timon Bril, who managed to turn this already good place into a top class restaurant.

What a lovely gem this hotel is in a perfect location in Deventer. Really authentic building with loads of history behind & amazing original wall paints & frames. Very courteous staff, comfortable rooms with all you need and more. Underfloor heating in the bathroom, all in room facilities readily available inside the room, great decor, warm & comfortable. Great breakfast & nice restaurant. Would certainly come back!

Disclaimer - I have not stayed at the hotel, but have certainly marked it for my next trip to the Netherlands. We stopped here for lunch and did not want to leave to explore the town.

Little jewel of a hotel built and decorated very stylish with Jugendstil and Rokoko elements right in the center of Deventer. All the rooms are individually equipped with a love for detail, all with fantastic beds. Breakfast is great as well with a variety of choices.

Very nice food in luxury setting in the old part of town.

We chose the exclusive fish platter and unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The shrimps were still raw inside, the tuna was replaced with tuna salad, the smoked mackerel was not fresh. Had a chat with the waitress, but all I got was an apology from the chef.. For this price one would expect a full range fresh fish dinner and well cooked. A disappointment and I would not recommend going here if you want value for your money.

Stayed here for three nights and loved it. Wonderful rooms, comfortable beds. The food was beautiful. The staff and service was above and beyond, enjoyed talking to the staff very friend, very relaxed. A must do in Deventer. See you again guys and girls, Kat and Jodi :)

Lovely restaurant. Good view outside on the Lebuinuskerk, nice garden, pleasant staff, tasty food and coffee, reasonable price.

So the hotel is fine but the Huis Vermeer Restaurant is very disappointing. Clearly there is some creative cooking but when the first line of your menu contains the word 'seasonal' and 'local' - you kind of expect that. With the exception of elder flower, nothing was seasonal: no cherries, herring, asparagus, cucumber or beans. And then when the cheese came: it was French, Spanish and Italian... The waitress explained they were purchased locally... We need to support the food industry during these times but the food but the food business needs to support it's loyal visitors with integrity and honesty. Describing your self as local and seasonal and failing to deliver on that doesn't work for me. Which is shame - because the cooking was excellent.

Very beautiful and romantic English style Hotel. I was delighted with our room . My favorite colors. My husband and I had a great weekend in Deventer. Hotel House Veermer 100% recommended. Super kind and nice employees.

Great food, great service. They definitely experiment with the food and all the suggestions are lovely. They seem to change to menu up regularly, to keep things exciting.

Had a lovely lunch here. We went for the 2-course lunch menu and were surprised by the chef! The fish main course brought out the savory notes and the dessert was special as well: they combined peach and black garlic together, quite an unexpected choice but it was tasty as well. The staff was friendly and the interior looked luxurious.
