After our marriage at Sandton in Deventer last year, we recently celebrated our 1 year Anniversary here also. We look back at both with great pleasure. We love the location with a very nice terrace with a view of Deventer at the Ijssel. And you can also arrive there by boat, making the location unique, arriving by boat on our wedding made it even more special. Both times we stayed at Sandton we had a suite, both were spacious and luxurious. We are also fond of quality dining and dinner everytime was very nice, with dishes that look and taste great. But last but maybe most important, all the staff is very professional and friendly, really doing what they can to make your stay or wedding a pleasant one. During our stay, but also during the preparation of our wedding. All of the above makes us recommend Sandton for wedding, stay, dinner or drink at the terrace. We will visit again for sure!

Nice little hotel, The location makes it a very peaceful hotel, as there is no road near, so no traffic noise. Parking is not a problem, large parking lot and there is an adjoining field where you can park for free. Getting to the city center is very easy, even though the hotel is on the other side of the IJssel. There is a little ferry right next to the hotel which takes you to the other side in just a couple of minutes. The room is quite spacious. Had a lovely sleep in a comfortable bed. Coffee and tea-making facilities are available. The bathroom is very modern, with a shower and bathtub. I love it so much :) Good wifi-internet even I was take a bathtub and I can watching movie Breakfast was served at the table in our room because of COVID-lockdown. Then we have room service for Breakfast and Dinner for 2 nights. We had a 3-course chef's menu. All are so nice and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got nice chocolate and a lovely card for the welcome and thanking us for our stay. one thing, I think I don't like is I can't connect my Netflix to TV :( by the way, I will be back there again if I have a chance :)

We really enjoyed our stay here. The beds are comfortable and the room is quiet. We enjoyed the view of downtown from our room and the ferry over to town was convenient. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous. The best tart was one of the best things I've ever tasted! I would come back again!

We arrived when the sun was down. The view was really beautiful and we weren't even inside yet. The building inside matched the view outside with a great atmosphere. Seating was spacious and comfortable. The personnel was friendly, helpful, skillful and matched the group dynamics during service. Afterwards they gave us a 4.6 star rating instead of us rating them. All food served was really tastefully and beautiful presented. The only real complaint I have that they could have asked if I would like a new drink when my glass was empty, I had to ask every time when they came during serving. Beside the only complaint I recommend everybody to try the restaurant.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location is really good as well as the rooms. It's near the lake so evening feels awesome here. You can get a bike for the city tour from the hotel or can enjoy a ferry ride to reach the city as well.

First of all, all the services and food are perfect. Sleeping here is good also. For summer, it's a great idea to have "lekker zitten in de terras" very recommended for all of you. Price? 😉 Depends on you
